Where Winds Meet |OT| Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

My dudes, what's the fastest way to level up your inner ways?

I know you can exchange the ones you farm and dont wanna use, for others of a specific set, but I'm getting the feeling this is a very slow process? I've been trying to level up my Morale chant inner way, but I barely get tips for that.

I'm still level 40, can upgrade to 50 but won't do it since I still struggle a bit in some boss fights and wanna do some exploration first after going for the second city.
 
one thing i really love about asia theme openworld game is bamboo forest, it look very beautiful which western game never has

I'm stomping Anno 117 rn, but I tried this for about 2 hours and I was quite surprised. In a good way. Beside the terrible tutorial once you are in the open world it seems quite fun to play.

I'm still doubtful about the F2P elements, I hope I can progress and do the main quest without feeling like I have to put my credit card.

What the point to be ready to spend 2000-3000$ on cosmetics to not show off to peasants? It's a vanity thing and most do not regret vanity
(peasants though do like to justify why they can't afford vanity :messenger_winking:)

It's going to be either dude has cash out of the wazoo OR it's similar to a gambling addiction.

I mean even investing apps are basically a casino now (day options, betting, etc..). It's all to hook people who have addictive personalities.

If it's the former (aka dude is loaded) then who cares. If it's the latter that's a problem, but the problem is everywhere.

At least thanks to the whales we can enjoy this huge game for free.
 
Yeah I learned years ago that gacha players have a VERY different mentality when it comes to spending money on games lol

If it subsidizes development costs then I'm all for it. More power to them.

Which is why it works as F2P, I'm just happy those higher tier cosmetics are too over the top for me, so I won't get too tempted.

I did buy though all the first time packs already. 🤷‍♂️ Wanted to get that Veiled Edge set (a nice blend between practicality, elegance and edge), but that's gonna be it for the foreseeable future.

This year I probably bought the least amount of games than I did in the last 10+ years, yet I spent a similar amount of money if not slightly more, most of it went to our chinese overlords. Why? Because fuck me I don't wanna fuel any more of the woke slop we're getting (enough is enough), but the cash money was still burning a hole in my pocket.
 
Today I did th Assembly Heroes mission and honestly, it's the first mission where I felt frustration and kinda made me hate the game for the first time in almost 60 hours.

What an obnoxious mission, it almost feels like it was confusing and stupidly difficult just to extend playtime. I hope this is just an exception moving forward.

The game needs more action and less dialogue imo. Some parts are extremely slow

Just reached the story limit. I guess tomorrow I will continue with the story when it unlocks. It's getting very interesting

I just binged the BP. From what I played during this year, definitely gets in my Top 3.

Yesterday, I zoned out of the game for a bit, when I came back I was in prison for the first time :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I was legit confused on what happened, specially because I had my previous accusation cleaned.

The fact that the warden can randomly put you upfront of other prison playing music to reduce your timing...fucking genius.

Battle Pass. It's basically the Season Pass. The one that's going around for 8.65 €.

Gives you a free skin, a bunch of materials and a couple of pulls. Pretty typically in these kinds of games that throw multiple Seasons at players.

Game totally deserves BP support if you ask me.

What else do you get with the battle pass? The skin doesn't look that great imo, its more women orientated.

There is that new skin that looks like a ninja and I really love it but I ain't paying 40 euros for a skin

You can check the items you get before actually buying it.

The Battle Pass is where players can be rewarded with various items like Weapons, Resources, Materials, Currencies and even Cosmetics.

My usual rule of thumb is if I work my way up the BP and reach the highest level, while having fun in the process, might as well binge the rewards for my efforts. If not, I'll stay put.

The skin itself can be dyed, so paired with some other items from other sets it actually looks dope.

That Ninja one is very Ninja Gaiden, but I won't binge 40€ for a damn cosmetic.

I'm sure they'll decrease some values when the game gets even more skins. We gotta wait the patience game here.

Enjoying the game but there are so many mechanics thrown at you at once that it feels a little overwhelming. Bunch of upgrade paths. Like 5 different currencies. Also find myself losing my place in the menus pretty frequently. Gonna need to lean on YouTube heavily to get myself situated.

Man guarding palm is so satisfying to use.

The extra move you can use if you pair it with cloud steps is absolute cinema.

This game as no right of being this good. This sidequest...gorgeous.

Just tried the game. Yikes the amount of info is really taking up my time, and I'm only in for 75 mins with most of the spent time going about the menus, listening to plot, shoot birds, and come across a boy looking for loaches. I even ask the boy if I could fry or steam loaches, and ask for recipe, it gave me an answer. Truly great use of AI chat. Love to read the signposts with players leaving interesting messages.
 


  • Where Winds Meet features a single mode on PS5 and two modes on PS5 Pro.
  • PS5 Pro allows us to enable ray tracing for some reflections. The PC version does not currently allow ray tracing to be enabled.
  • PS5 Pro offers higher rendering resolution than PS5. However, neither of these two consoles is capable of maintaining a stable 60fps.
  • On PC, we find fairly good performance on Ultra/High settings. Even better with an RTX 50, which allows us to play above 200fps without any problems with Multi Frame Gen.
  • PC will soon have a Natural mode that will allow for greater graphic fidelity.

After around 50 hours, I have incredibly fun times playing this!

The only small gripe I have is with graphics. Although overall it looks usually fantastic, some objects have terrible draw distance, which can be distracting. Unoptimized texture streaming leading to some suboptimal 0.1% lows. Also some textures are really low res. I wish they would let us push higher settings.
 
All bosses down on Legend, but then I found out that I have to beat them all again on Abyss Trials to add to the Legend counter... dammit lol
Not looking forward to fighting Wolf Maiden again :messenger_dizzy:

There is an 'Ultimate' spec in the standalone launcher, but it's currently greyed out. I expect it to fix all the shortcomings in the graphics department when it's released.
