Yes.

I'd use it on pedos. Those that have actually sexually abused children. IMO, if you sexually abuse a child, you don't deserve to live. I'd also use it on those that have caused harm to children, like the parents of the Baby P case in the UK, who beat their baby to death. People like that would be gone.

oh yeah.

I'd find every name of every member of the government of russia and write a nice little list.
and cause of death would he dehydration due to excessive diarrhoea 🤣 just as a last bit of humiliation.

it would also mean people would probably think they were poisoned by some new unknown substance, in a deliberate attack... which would also be fun to see people speculate about.

The rule states that if you use it, you can't have an afterlife no? No heaven / hell.

If that's the case, no.
I only watched once....I didnt remember that.

I just read all the rules:

Core Rules

  1. The human whose name is written in the Death Note shall die.
  2. The cause of death must be written within 40 seconds.
  3. If no cause is specified, the person dies of a heart attack.
  4. Details of the death must be written within 6 minutes 40 seconds.
  5. The user must have the person's face in mind while writing the name.

Time & Control Rules

  1. You can manipulate a victim's actions for up to 23 days before death.
  2. You cannot force a victim to perform physically impossible actions.
  3. A cause of death must be feasible and realistic.
  4. You cannot kill someone under 780 days old.
  5. "Old age" cannot exceed 124 years.

Ownership & Afterlife

  1. Anyone who uses the Death Note can neither go to Heaven nor Hell.
  2. A Shinigami accompanies the human owner of the notebook.
  3. A human who relinquishes ownership loses all related memories.
  4. Memories return if the person touches the Death Note again.

Visibility Rules

  1. Only those who touch the Death Note can see and hear its Shinigami.
  2. Touching any part of the notebook allows a person to see all Shinigami connected to it.

Mechanics of Writing Names

  1. The Death Note will not work if the writer does not know the victim's face.
  2. Nicknames, stage names, or false names do not work.
  3. Writing the name while thinking of multiple faces will cause the note not to work.
  4. Once written, the cause of death cannot be changed.
  5. You cannot kill the same person twice.

Transfer & Possession

  1. Ownership of the Death Note can be transferred to another human.
  2. Upon transfer, the Shinigami follows the new owner.
  3. Losing or giving away the Death Note causes ownership (and memories) to vanish.

Shinigami Rules

  1. Shinigami extend their life by killing humans using their own Death Notes.
  2. A Shinigami who saves a human will die.
  3. A Shinigami may possess more than one Death Note.
  4. Only a Shinigami can kill another Shinigami.

Special Rules

  1. Writing "dies of old age" only works if the age is 124 or less.
  2. The "13-day rule" is false (a fabricated rule by Light Yagami).
🤔.... 6 is huge.

I would ask about the lore of the world; the "biblical" aspect of it.

Depending on the answer, I would use it or not.

Anyone who says "no" is a fucking liar.
Well if you use Death Note your soul will never go to heaven or hell, so yes that would make me not want to use it. If I hate someone that much I will not sacrifice my soul for their sake.

That Death Note be oddly specific, eh?
And lol at the last one I quoted above.

Anyway… I'm Italian, brehs. I can feel my hand cramping just thinking about the list I could write, and that's just for people from my country, before I even begin tackling the rest of the world.

Hmmm… can't go to heaven or hell. What does that mean? What's their afterlife like?

IMO people who say they would use it sound pretty immature. Especially when they say they'd write down the names of politicians, that sounds like something a college student would say.

The answer for any well adjusted adult is NO, I don't need that shit in my life.

No heaven? No thanks.

But for a person that was already going to hell that would make them use it for sure. It's almost like a reward for killing which is really terrible.

IIRC I read somewhere the no heaven or hell thing is an addition to the anime, in the manga the Shinigami says there's no such places and all return to nothingness.

I'd use it on traffickers and slave traders, human or endangered species.

There being no such places, and such places being beyond the Shinigami's realm of perception, would look exactly the same to it. A character in the Death Note universe would be unwise to take its opinion on this matter as gospel.

A Death Note, but instead you enter their In game name, and there WoW or MMO character or Online Game Acct gets erased/banned and its unrecoverable
