If it flops expect another 15+ year wait for another attempt at the franchise, it was never like this in the Pierce Brosnan era of games, right up until Bloodstone (2011), I'll be measuring this game against that last good entry in the franchise which was Bloodstone

I don't understand the mixed reception, it looks fine, and it's not gonna be all shooting.
It's weird, because third-person action games have large fanbases, Uncharted and Tomb Raider was big hits, and this is trying to follow that road. I expected more people in here to be excited, even if the showings have been so-so.

I didn't think it looked that good and I lost interest at the "snarky, overconfident know it all" character tone they've given bond.

You probably got confused, Bloodstone is no FPS, full on action Uncharted like game, with driving bits included from the team behind the legendary Project Gotham Racing series, and it quite regularly appears on underrated lists when it comes to 360 games...I recently started playing Everything or Nothing on the Wii, as I missed out on it during the time of its release, by far it is better to control than the preceding games, as you can easily lock onto targets etc....hopefully it will be a better experience than the Bourne conspiracy game I played on the PS3...

Honestly when Idris Elba was rumoured to play Bond I don't think anyone was up in arms about the prospect.
As long as its not a game respectful of pro nouns and purple hair I think it will be fine.
For the game itself, I think it looks like a respectable 8/10.

James Bond has always been a franchise of its time. When it was cool to smoke, he smoked. When it became cool to be healthy, Daniel Craig worked out and emerged from the sea in Casino Royal.
When it was cool to pat the butt of the Jame Bond girl, Sean Connery did it; remember what he did in the shower with Kim Basinger even. Times change. You wouldn't see that in modern James Bond, and that's fine too.
The game looks great but needs a bit longer in the oven. I loved the Hitman series, this will be great I'm sure.

Well, I'm out. There's so many other games to play these days that there is no time for this type of shit in my life. I look forward to reading (about 6 months after launch) how it failed to meet sales expectations.
