Multi-SSR pulls always feel great.

I did about 80 pulls for 2 copies of Snow White, but I got a few misc SSRs along the way. I'm going to wait to see what the consensus is on her kit and I'll either MLB her or Rapi: RH with gold tickets depending.

Don't forget the New Years Step Up banner. You can use free gems and the last step gives a selector box for any non-limited character up to the new Soline. I picked Sora since I skipped her banner originally and never got her in a spook pull. Elysion's wishlist is too packed, so I figured I'd grab her for collection's sake.

Yeah, the step up for the selector was the 1st thing i did, got another 3 SSRs from there. 2 during the step up pulls and the last from the selector. Great value for 6.6k gems i think it was. Picked Bunny Ade cuz i skipped her during her banner, only missing 3 nikkes that are still in my wishlist. I skip most of the non limited ones cuz i like to fill the wishlist with characters i dont have and then go on a pulling orgy using just normal tickets and get a bunch of new characters.
Collabs, Limited, Pilgrims and Overspec Nikkes i always pull on they banners.

Just recorded a GFL2 video with new year celebration wishes from each character I have. I wish every gacha game did this and MICA did it 3 times already in just 20+ days (on my birthday, pre 2026 wishes and now this)!

Happy new year, folks! Hopefully it'll be a better year for each and everyone of us!

Gacha revenue report for December 2025 is up!

xNkqxaKQk2FrwUev.png

I never cease to be amazed that the revenue from Love and Deepspace is practically the same as the revenue from all of miHoYo's games combined (I'm exaggerating a little, but it's not far from the truth. :messenger_tears_of_joy: ). Nikki is safe because of this and that's the most important thing, nothing else matters. :messenger_sunglasses:

Daaaam, GFL2 at almost 6 mil? 1st anniversary and Crew Deck did wonders! 🫵 :messenger_open_mouth:

I bet ZZZ and WuWa will have like +20-30 mil to the current sales in January, cuz literally both of them launched with huge updates at the end of the month and WuWa more so than ZZZ with it's gigantic 3.0.

So this report also includes Dec 30 and 31, but even so, the ZZZ top‑up event + YSG continues to track really well in both JP and CN, so January should bring some strong numbers too. Heck, just two days of YSG + the Top‑Up Event already make it the 3rd best grossing banner period in ZZZ's history on JP iOS, beating Yixuan + the Top‑Up reset and sitting just behind Miyabi and Ellen's original banners.

Edit: Found the CN chart for the day 1 revenue estimates.

Not bad honestly. Most of the games I enjoy are seeing stability or increases.

  • Glad CZN is doing well despite their home fanbase abandoning the game completely. I've really been enjoying my time with it since the recent updates.
  • Stella Sora continues the decline, but they are (slowly) adjusting to the fans expectations. They increased the amount of gems you get from the subscription, and have been very solid with handing out f2p renewable resources via events and login bonuses, even well past the honeymoon phase. I still think they have some more to do, but their New Years message laid out a vague plan that they're still going to work on income and various other aspects of the game.
  • WuWa having a strong if not breakout month. I think they're probably satisfied with that level of revenue, but obviously wish it was higher. I still haven't played 3.0 stuff (hoping to get into it tomorrow), but I hear nothing but good things about it.
  • ZZZ back up, which is good. I am not impressed with 2.5 as much as I thought I would be, but they continue to make changes, and the old character buffs are a great stepping stone to goodwill for them.
  • Glad to see Nikke fall. They really rest on their laurels more than any other dev, banking on toxic positivity fans and $60 skins to save their ass. The surface mode they worked on was almost universally hated, and they milked like 2 sub par events for the majority of December. For the amount of money the game makes, their development cycle is fucking terrible. I'd like to see them and Star Rail both in the dumpster for a few months to wake them up.
  • A lot of cash grab pump 'n dump anime IP games are doing well, which is unfortunate. I have no issues if they are high quality products, but 99% of them are decidedly not.
  • DNA didn't make this list, but I saw the were around 500k. Their monetization system still sucks and the game isn't fun to play between story quests, so hopefully they turn things around and figure out what they need to do.

No major drama this time as far as I see.

I saw Star Rail finally revealed their un-Japanized new character designs, and I hate the new Sparkle. I still haven't finished the Amphoreus story, but once I do, that game is uninstalled. I actually don't feel like even finishing it, but I stuck around to see the end, so I'm going to.

Here's to Silver Palace, Azur Promilia, and (maybe?)Ananta for 2026!

It makes sense, but with China, things will change dramatically. Games will remain the same, only the rankings will change.
Considering what Love and Deepspace is, the success of this game defies all logic. Well, unless a whole bunch of boys are playing and hiding it :messenger_tears_of_joy:

Damn, my man here seems to secretly like Love and Deepspace, since this is the second time you've centered your reply around it, lol. 👀

I genuinely do not understand posts like this. Unless you're doing some insider trading shit and own stock in these companies, it really doesn't matter to the players how much money is made besides the servers shutting off. Which is another topic altogether because why have us download all this crap if you're just going to brick it remotely for no good reason? We need to have some legislation passed to make these games playable offline once the servers go down. Especially for the whales.

New account, first post on NeoGAF... If the topic doesn't interest you, how about you don't post anything instead of dropping nonsense like that? 🙄

Odd comment, considering that you yourself give the answer to the question.

And yes, we are interested to know if the money we have invested in the game will be lost soon or it's safe for the long run.

His hand accidentally shook. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
He'd better have some good explanations for why he's siding with that new account trying to police what gets posted in this gacha OT.

Sales discussions have been a thing on GAF since its inception, and that's not about to change just because some random nobody says so.

For some reason, it sounded like this in my head. :messenger_tears_of_joy:

I agree/wish that if a game goes EOS it had an offline mode with the basic world/non-online events available.

In games like Genshin or Nikki, or any other similar open world this should be a minimum.

Memes aside, let's be real. Just ignore the topics you're not interested in and move on. I'm not going to stop posting about sales just because someone doesn't agree with these topics, lol.

Dude why the fuck are you coming at me like that?

Seriously, you're making a storm out of nothing. It's a damn reaction.

Yes, I do I agree with the guy to a certain point - making these games playable offline once the servers go down (hence my reaction to it), although that's never gonna happen.

But contrary to him I do find the information interesting and useful.

Don't get me wrong Thick Thighs Save Lives Thick Thighs Save Lives you're one of the users around here that I engage the most and I like your content, but sometimes you tilt way over mere things.

I wasn't guns blazing at your content, like, at all. It was just a mere reaction.

And I appreciate you posting stuff like this.

I'm not trying to do any of that I just was under the impression you were agreeing with a new account trying to police what's acceptable to post in here. But since you explained below that you only agreed with the part about making sure these gachas are playable offline once the servers shut down, then it's all good, and I share that sentiment.

I appreciate your posts too, my man, and I enjoy engaging in discussions with you, and will hapilly continue to do so. It wasn't my intention to single you out; I just wasn't sure what that reaction was about.

Looks like I missed everything cuz zero notifications for this thread going my way and I just don't get why that is. Well anyway, I absolutely agree that there must be a law or something to inforce offline state for gachas, complete removal of gacha system, 100% unlock of all characters and their weapons etc. so that when devs decide to turn off servers, people could still play the game they paid a lot of money for, even if it's just monthly Sub and BP.

I was already expecting a big boost in revenew since its Brown Dust II 2.5 anniversary and even if its the months they are the most generous by giving away free pulls like candy (+500) and brand new maxed out characters, its always on Annis and Half-Annis that they get more money from atracting alot of new players. But all that Steam drama ended up doing some damage (in a good way) and it seems it brought more awareness to the game, making this month they highest revenew month ever.

Alfter almost EOS shortly after launch were they changed direction to focus on gooning, it seems the game keeps growing and growing each year.

If there are a dev team that deserves success in the gacha space, its these generous MOFOs.

Looks like they're buffing Sparkle and Black Swan in HSR ver 4.0. I was hoping they would add the former to the token shop now that Elation Sparkle is dropping as well in the same patch, but I guess not. 🤔

Sparkle was powercrept in the very next patch after her release, which annoyed me since I got her and her cone. She deserves BIG buffs, but based on their past record, I am not holding out any hope with it. Kafka is the only one so far who got actual relevant buffs, which isn't a great track record.

Not like it's going to matter much, apparently leakers are saying that all new characters from 4.0 to 4.2 will be Elation, so you need to roll for new Light Cones and they will likely all buff each other and require each other to play, just like Remembrance.

I dont understand how they make money at all. I have a lot of x5 characters being totally F2P. Also, a good amount of their respective weapons. Prestige skins don't make that much of a difference when you have normal characters being equally lewd.

If I understand their revenue, I think it's mostly Asian players that compete for top scores on the event raid and guild bosses. Apparently people spend a LOT on powder to refresh gear to get SSS. Outside of that, new players will come in and buy some of the more lucrative packs to try to get some of the more enticing/stronger characters.

As a veteran of over like 6 months, there's very little reason to spend in the game. I'm down to maybe 11 total costumes that I don't have at +5 and most of them are Gray and Lathel.

I also bought all 3 prestige skins, as my way to support the devs, and I like them.

Im guessing most of what they make are from new players that buy some tickets and gems packs to catch up and a few wales that like to max out every character. The prestige skins also increased the revenew by a good amount. But even before the prestigue skins they were already in an acending route.

I started playing the game 6 months after release and even without spending any money on gems or tickets i managed to catch up and get all the characters in the game, alot of them also maxed out already and i also have amost all the weapons. This without spending any gems on the gacha since i started playing. I have now horded 500k+ gems and 1200+ tickets. Its crazy.

I do hope the buffs make OG Sparkle owners happy, especially those who heavily invested in her. But honestly, in my case I only want her because even without buffs she's BiS for my fully built E0S1 Archer, and I'd like to actually make proper use of him on one of the knights in Anomaly Arbitration.

I was kind of banking on Sparkle being added in the next shop refresh, which I assume will happen during the Anniversary patch, since that would've been the ideal and cheap way to get her as I still have 2 golden tokens, but that hope is surely gone now with the announcement I just posted, lol. I also don't plan to roll for any pre 4.0 units aside from Evernight, who I need for my Cas team to free up TB for the Elation path, so there's that as well.

Speaking of HSR, I just finished building Blade today. I got his E1 last patch during one of my 50/50 losses, and I've been slowly grinding his mats over the past few weeks since there isn't much to do in this dry patch, plus I'm not planning to pull until 4.0 drops in February.

Used him as my main DPS in MoC XI against my man Lygus and 1 cycled him. I also snagged 40k points in the first half of Pure Fiction IV. Obviously he's not as strong as the 3.x units, but he's still pretty fun to use in things like Currency Wars, Simulated Universe, and the lower/mid difficulty end‑game content.

Not just gachas, but all these big mostly single‑player games with an online co‑op component should have the publisher either release server binaries so people can host private servers, or patch in an offline mode.

I'm mentioning this because this tweet popped up on my TL reminding me that Anthem's shutdown is coming up in a week, and it just annoyed me all over again... I put over 100 hours into this game and, despite its flaws, I really enjoyed it. Once every year or so I'd reinstall it and mess around for a few hours because the flight system and the moment to moment combat felt so good. Fucking EA, man… It's too late for Anthem, but I hope the Stop Killing Games initiative succeeds and that future online SP/Co‑op titles won't suffer the same fate.

Some 4.0 HSR leaks.

Sparxie's idle dance and ult animation are pretty cool.

These "Aha" animations when you have multiple Elation units are going to get old real fast, lol. And in general, I'm not a big fan of the circus/clown‑show theme for Elation.
