Phil Spencer kicks off Xbox's 25 year anniversary with video and logo

Phil finally crawled out from the rock he has been hiding under for a while now? He has been in hiding for quite some time indeed.

Bro, just retire. Man looks like he aged 20 years while dismantling the product he claims to love.

That's just aging. He's turning 58 in three days. Besides that: the lighting is much worse in the 2025 photo. It's also oversharpened compared to the original photo.

I mean, 10 years can affect a lot in the looks department, especially at his age. Of course stress and other variables exist that can make things worse, but I don't think it looks bad per se. He just looks older, which is expected at 56 years old.

The new Xbox will be called Xbox Everything,Everywhere, All At Once.

Here is a leaked screenshot showing off the new console:

As someone who still busts out the OG Xbox every now and then, it's incredible how much better this company used to be. You think you know how far they've fallen, but actually playing the OG Xbox again cements it.

Fire this guy already
Fuck off phil
Looking forward to more slop Phil. Never change.
Now just put the logo on the usual 200 million windows oems sold per year for maximum trolling Phil.
I actually thought this was an AI at first.

PHil honestly looks ill.

His voice sounds weird as well.

is this "the murderer always returns to crime scene" type of a thing
Noped out after 7 seconds.
Guy's voice is like piano wire being dragged through my ears.

At this point the only thing to be excited about is random games that could be good (Clockwork Revolution), and they might make Windows run better + have a cheap PC option for Valve.

Wow, I am so hyped! This sounds more like an obituary than a celebration. Just give me E-Day on PS5 Pro with local co-op, and Halo: CE remake on PC and we can move right along.

The OG Xbox was a present from Bill Gates, they've made a loss on every console sold but it was more than that it was a gift to humanity. :messenger_beaming:

He meant Magic.
Uncle Tim the creator of Fallout is pissed about his franchise Fallout, Todd must pay him a visit and talk with him officially, it's not like we hate them together or separated between seas and states, they don't even look like they hate each other.

Aside from a great year of Big classic IP releases and first party catalog... I think the perfect way to round off the celebration would be (at least) the announcement of new first-party hardware/console. Otherwise, it would feel rather lacking and simply be seen as a great year of first-party releases.

If the rumors and leaks are true, 2027 is the year. A late 2026 announcement, coinciding with the launch day of the original Xbox?
As usual, too late.
And if they're going with 2027, then what exciting games will they have out for launch if Gears, Halo, Forza, Fable is already out?
🤔
