College Football Thread - "Whoa, Nellie"

Wasn't expecting the misses to win, but they did. It looks like another BIG win outside Miami pulling it off. The misses can be dangerous I guess with Chambliss, but their running game gonna have to keep Bain off balanced.

HeisenbergFX4 HeisenbergFX4 I think you will like this one.

That was pretty good, thank you :)

I have watched/listened to some of the Bama fans reactions during and after the game and those have been priceless as well

Heard several fans claim the Bama players didn't want to win to send a message they didn't like their coach

I mean if remotely true why come back against Oklahoma?

As someone in close proximity to many Bama fans, they are a very deranged fanbase. Delusional even at time. And they have existed in a dream world of college football for years so they think they are owed something. Many can be quite tiring. For the most part, Bama fans are fine, just annoying at time to hang out with. We used to have one guy who could only talk about Bama football. That was every conversation I told my wife we have to quit hanging out with them.

There are none better than what calls into shows like Finebaums and even has their own picture up they call in so often

Finebaum loves the interactions (its how he makes his living) but with how he worded his Bama pick over IU and when Cig got his lifetime contract Finebaum ridiculed IU for jumping on that too soon

Wonder how much Bama would offer Cig now

At UF I would offer Cig 200 mil.

He comes across as the new Saban archetype.

Finebaum is an absolute clown when it comes to college football. I have no idea how anyone takes him seriously.

I thought the bama game loss was pretty clear, in terms of how it happened... Ty Simpson is a talented qb but a bit inexperience still in some areas, so he made a huge mistake when scrambling for that first down in 2nd quarter, and instead of getting down fast tried to grab a few more yards. He got hit hard, fumbled and the game was over -- because instead of being about to score to make it 7-10 his fumble led to 0-17 _and_ he was injured from the hit and had to drop out of the game shortly after. Backup QB + huge deficit... it was already over.

The entire game ended on that one boneheaded play, rest was just a backup qb who had no clue what he was doing plus a defense that had given up knowing the game was objectively hopeless now.

There's no mystery about what went wrong -- great opponent and a terrible screwup early that effectively put the game to bed and made everyone give up.

Pretty good game last night between Miami and Old Miss. I wanted Old miss to win so we could have a situation where a coach left a team for greener pastures and that team went to the National championship.

I was pulling for Ole Miss, too. They should be proud though, they played a hell of a game, and did it without their POS head coach.

Lane Kiffin sucks, and I can't wait for LSU to fire his ass mid season in a few years. Maybe he'll be gone from football forever, then.

Maybe just arriving later today or maybe its just because of the distance but seems to be a lot more Hoosier red in town over Oregon green getting ready for tonight's game.

Not meant to be just an IU problem post but this needs to be fixed for all teams

The Ole Miss situation has probably pushed them into a corner. I don't think they can change the portal dates because of enrollment. After all, these are students. :messenger_grinning_squinting:

I have seen talk of ending the season sooner. I would be okay with that but not if it means eliminating the other big bowl games or moving those games to the beginning of the season (I have heard that mentioned). Lesser bowl games can either go away, move, or whatever. (don't hate me Snoop)

Between the Ole Miss/Kiffin stuff, the Washington/Demond Williams stuff and the playoff teams having to deal with the portal, this has been a crazy post season.

Rooting for your Hoosiers to win it all.

Indiana is absolutely fucking insane man. And they're doing this without the "highly touted recruits."

My fellow AU fans who are melting down over transfer stars and recruit stars should calm down a bit. Shitty Hugh freeze showed that all the 5 stars in the world can't save a terrible coach.

Let me sleep for about another 11 days or so please

Honestly I dont eat stadium food as I am nearing 59 soon and my body just doesn't do well eating this stuff

My son ate some nachos that he said was great :)

The Benz is one of my favorite stadiums just cause the food is cheap and the colas bottomless. Last time I was there was for a season kickoff game when Auburn played Washington. In the "nosebleeds" and the seats were fantastic. Ate chic fil et and stadium nachos all game lol

We should make Cignetti turn up the difficulty level. The noob is obviously playing on the lowest one.
