Watching a streamer with 6k viewers play the game and I was expecting worse honestly. Don't get me wrong, it looks like crap but at least it seems like a step or two above those shameless ripoffss that infest the eShop. Definitely not worth $50 though (or any $ for that matter) lol

The game doesn't look bad at all, sure it's asset flip but COD does that every year and still has crazy fanboys.
Well i have to disagree, even just looking at someone playing the game on twitch, i almost get sick from the close camera and motionblur. This alone would make the game unplayable for me and i'm not even talking about the characters, assett flips, jank and bugs :D

I think they are lucky because its exactly the kind of game that people like/want. resident evil style dinosaur game with cake. Problem is that its overpriced. For $20 i would buy this to be honest. Looks like a 5/10 but i love resident evil style games. But $50 for a 5 hour indie game is insanity. And that T rex bossfight is a joke

I know everyone's ragging on this game, but I don't mind there being more B-movie style games where they're so bad they're ironically good to laugh at. A few more kusoge games never hurt nobody and it's nice to have that break from games otherwise trying way too hard to be taken seriously by following all the typical production trends, but never being so outright bad where you can ever actually make fun of them and laugh.

Also I have to commend a Western dev not being scared to actually make their female lead an attractive woman with some cake on her. And for having some fanservice in there to boot; tired of weirdos (who generally turn out to be actual misogynists) trying to control how women can be depicted in media or think "the male gaze" is something to defeat like a final boss.

There's nothing inherently wrong with sexy women in media (including games) or fanservice, any more than there's nothing inherently wrong with games featuring guns or swearing. Let adults (whom games like this are targeting) be adults and trust they realize the game is a work of fiction. It's not real, and 99% of the players aren't going to start going out IRL harassing women. If you want to make games without the "male gaze" or games filled with super-hot guys instead, you're free to do so. Just don't demonize the people who want to make games with attractive female characters, either.

And, at least some dev out there is listening to the Dino Crisis fanbase; Capcom continue acting like they don't exist, even tho they clearly do. But hey I guess Exo-Primal was enough of a bone, right? Is that game even still online anymore? I'd doubt it.

Yeah, not a good look for them at all. I remember them saying why they weren't bringing it to Steam, but in light of just how, um, bountiful and full the main character's assets are (which I enjoy, of course 😁), it makes all that earlier stuff look like virtue signaling and projection. Because that's basically exactly what it was.

The woman in this video is 100% right about the real reasons they didn't bring the game to Steam. However, it could have a second wind of life if they bulk up the amount of content (maybe throw in some extra modes?) and fix up some of the mission and boss encounters, as well as tune up some of the gameplay mechanics & controls. Launch it there at a fair price, maybe show off how the game can be mod-friendly (quietly acknowledging you were wrong on that point), and I can see the game doing quite well there. Probably better than it'll fare on PS5, that's for sure.

Could be akin to a Stellar Blade-like scenario, tho that game actually had solid gameplay from the jump and didn't patronize potential fans with virtue-signaling crap just to do all the things they were projecting others'd do in the actual game.

Code Violet is one of those games whose potential to be more than it is makes the entire thing feel all the more disappointing as a result. It squanders an interesting premise by presenting its story in such a convoluted fashion that it fails to capture the attention of its audiences.

Its dinosaurs might have been a redeeming factor if their viciousness was backed up by predatory instincts that made them a challenge to take on. Its levels feel like they were designed to keep you running around in circles to pad out its thankfully shorter runtime.

This one's not going to be among the year's best titles, not by a long shot. What an epic disaster!

Hold on a second...

They took that dance scene straight out of The Vampire Diaries.

Also, I feel like this developer REALLY wants to be bought out by Sony, cause why would you as an Indie developer, purposely avoid Steam, just because of mods?

You don't know this developers history. Go find a PS fanboy account on X and that's how these developers act. That's also the only reason this game sold at all. There are a ton of losers just like them that only bought it because it was exclusive to the console and the developers were based for shitting on Xbox and PC gamers over the years.

Plus, you couldn't sell this garbage game on PC for $50 when it's literally no different than the dozens of asset flip games just like it on Steam that cost less than $10. It would get destroyed and refunded to hell and back. PS fanboys will buy it, realize they've been had, and then Sony will tell them to kick rocks.

Code Violet Devs : "We want to protect the modesty of our female lead character by not releasing the game on PC because of modders."

Also Code Violet Devs : * immediately start the game with her in her underwear and then we'll offer you a host of revealing outfits to choose from, including one called "Badonkadonk" *

This was just a PR stunt to drum up ANY attention they could get for a game destined to fall flat on it's arse.

The worst thing to come from unreal engine is now any retard can make a game. This is the result.

Endless slop.
They would have made this game anyway dude like millions of indie devs did before ue was a thing, the only difference is that at least doesn't look like an upressed ps2 game made in unity engine...

Ugh, I think maybe I dodged a bullet for not having the game on PC. And I'm not celebrating it, a game filling the Dino Crisis void would be nice even not being multiplatform (the excuse about this game is pretty nonsense though).

So now the clowns at Teamkillmedia are copywrite striking anyone who makes a video about the game or it's issues:

They're also astroturfing the hell out of their main X channel, full of fake and foreign accounts pretending the game is amazing.

They are a scam company. I dont know how people are not seeing this, because it's so obvious

I mean I'm usually against frivolous copyright strikes but some shitty youtuber making accusations of tax evasion is a little different than a negative review or bitching about social media behavior.

These guys make shit games but pander to PlayStation exclusivity to get attention on their crap. It was the SSD in Xbox for Quantum Error, it's mods on PC for this. Why do we give any attention to these scammers?

Nothing about this says 'courage'. They've gone that route as yet another gimmick to market their game to dummies.

It's bait.

Man, screw these devs, lmao. From the whole, "we don't want to put the game on PC to avoid distasteful player models / skins" but then essentially does just that on PS5 anyway. To them making it a "PS5 Exclusive" knowing that the refund policy on Steam is VERY forgiving. So they can charge $50 for this and not have to worry about refunds, lmao.

Gman also pointed out that their X account was retweeting all of these "positive reviews" from nobodys that never posted anything before. So, I can't help but assume they paid for all of that, lmaoooooo. Just throw in the towel and give it up. No one is going to fall for these low effort asset swaps anymore. At least they shouldn't, if you gave these idiots money you should be ashamed of yourself! :messenger_tears_of_joy:
