Crazy numbers. I'm gonna try it out this weekend.
Didn't Riot try to cancel this? And now it's an instant sensation. These big publishers really don't know what they're doing.
Looks like something I'd like to try but not really viable for me at the moment, no PC. I'll need to wait for GamePad support + Steam Deck or inevitable console versions.
Yea the story of this game is wild
Thanks for sharing this. It clarifies why Riot posted this yesterday:
Probably gonna get royalties from the deal. Will be clear eventually in their financial statements if so.Rare class from Riot.
I really have to ask. where do these games ( and their audience ) come from ?
I mean, I consider my self a hardcore gamer, when I have time, I always have a second page open on neogaf or check some tech / gaming sides like videocardz etc.
I never heard of this shit, yet its more popular than 95% of the games that were released last year if not 100%.
How does this happen? even a word of mouth cant spread this fast :/
The only people that make minecraft youtube videos are 40 year old boomers...what are you on about?Minecraft and Minecraft YouTubers are extremely popular. Just not with the 40 year old boomers of NeoGAF.

I'm going to make some for hytale but I'm 54 so……The only people that make minecraft youtube videos are 40 year old boomers...what are you on about?
I would watch it...have a friend who's kid loves mincraft and I am always watching him play...the people he watches on twitch and youtube all look older (some grey streaking their beards etc) hence my comment.I'm going to make some for hytale but I'm 54 so……

He means boomers on Neogaf. Not boomers in general. A lot of people on Neogaf get annoyed when there's an indie showcase with no AAA games, so I doubt a lot of them are in tune with the Minecraft community(I don't blame them lol) and stuff like this. The only people that make minecraft youtube videos are 40 year old boomers...what are you on about?
A lot of people were excited about this when it was first announced half an age ago. I'll be surprised if it maintains this over the years in EA, or if it does anywhere near Minecraft numbers every year. How does this happen? even a word of mouth cant spread this fast :/
Played a few hours tonight really liked it so far of course a lot of things missing but it's pretty polished so far. First two hours it seems pretty "Minecraft" clone with a few wrinkles. Crafting is more streamlined and the attack a defend style mechanics are a slight revision. Seems promising hope it continues to progress!!I would watch it...have a friend who's kid loves mincraft and I am always watching him play...the people he watches on twitch and youtube all look older (some grey streaking their beards etc) hence my comment.
If must be picking up steam I head about it from the kiddos this afternoon, "its just a better minecraft". Sounds like a youtube clickbait titlePlayed a few hours tonight really liked it so far of course a lot of things missing but it's pretty polished so far. It was, Publisher closed the studio.I remember a friend telling me about it years ago. Kinda thought it is dead.
It's supposedly still being worked on, but years away. Are they still developing that MMO based in the same universe as LoL? I'ts the only MMO I'm interested in after WoW.
Would also be sick if they'd end up creating an single player RPG, too. Their universe is really cool, but LoL is fucking terrible.
Yeah, My kids used to love watching Minecraft YouTubers until they were about 10. YouTubers themselves in general ranged from teens to early-mid 20s.The most popular one I can think of, Dream, is like 22. How many Minecraft threads do you see around here? How many Hytale threads do you see? This game is doing Palworld / Wukong numbers.
Looks like a minecrap clone.Whats hytale

What a bizarre article
I've never had a problem. In fact, I really like their return policy.how the fuck is steams refund policy not ok?>
What a bizarre article
Thanks for mentioning this. I almost bought it for my kid. He would have been so disappointed if I hyped it up and he couldn't really play it.Didn't Riot try to cancel this? And now it's an instant sensation. These big publishers really don't know what they're doing.

They must be putting some drugs in these games, that art design would give pubic lices 5 min in...
Looks like a minecrap clone.
They didnt say that steam "is not okay"...just saying Hytale is better. Its 2h vs 4h. Good stuff! But to be honest...i have never ever refunded a game. Usually I know very well what I am buying.how the fuck is steams refund policy not ok?>
I think this is something that's not repeated enough, and I hope one day gamers come to the same realization that book readers have already come to.Gaming's a very big hobby after all.
What a bizarre article
Don't just read headlines. This is directly from the developer's site, which PC Gamer's article linked to:PCGamer's article quality has declined a lot in recent years.
Just avoid their nonsense.
how the fuck is steams refund policy not ok?>
Saying "Their refund policy is better than Steam's" is not saying "Steam's refund policy is not ok/bad".I've never had a problem. In fact, I really like their return policy.
I prefer to play games myself instead of watching a bunch of twats narrating them.He means boomers on Neogaf. Not boomers in general. Don't just read headlines. This is directly from the developer's site, which PC Gamer's article linked to:
Hytale Refund Policy:
And they posted a long list of refundable payment methods:
- We allow refunding your Early Access game editions at any time before early access begins on January 13, 2026. After early access is released, you have 14 days after release and having less than 4 hours of playtime.
- If your purchase is made after the early access launch, you have 14 days after purchase and less than 4 hours of playtime to request a refund.
Saying "Their refund policy is better than Steam's" is not saying "Steam's refund policy is not ok/bad".
So it's a clone with adjustments?Played a few hours tonight really liked it so far of course a lot of things missing but it's pretty polished so far.
