A new State of Play airs February 12.

People really like being disappointed...

Im expecting absolutely no new FP game, maybe one of the already announced is shown, marathon , indies, horizon gaas dogshit , third party multiplats

These games are perfect for VR; that would finally motivate me to buy a VR headset.

But yeah, you're right, Sony has so many IPs, it surprises me too why they don't do anything with them. They don't necessarily have to be AAA games.

every general SoP since 2024 had new FP announcements (except for the last one that had the wolverine re-reveal) lol

Exactly.

SEGA is currently going through it's older IPs, but they're not AAA monsters that cost hundreds of millions.

Sony could do the same. Make some low cost games with their IPs. They could even farm them out to smaller third party developer teams.

  • Flight Sim PS VR2 date

Honestly, I still have some faith in Wolverine. I think Insomniac understood the essence of why Deadpool & Wolverine worked, mainly by mocking the whole woke agenda. I don't believe they'd be dumb enough to do the exact opposite of what the movie did.

SM2 was good game and beautiful graphics but its really frustrating that there are push and force dei, woke and pride agenda in the game. I think Sony learned ( I hope and pray thats the case ) there lesson, as Ghost of Yotei was very clean from any twisted dei and pride agenda crap despite some leftist and antifa actress and development team members.
 
I liked the last SoPs, but there's no way I'm hyping any Sony event after the 2023 showcase. In fact, I think that the bigger the event is, the higher the chances of it being a bad one.

I just hope they don't waste too much time on live service games and PC port announcements. One of the dumbest things is tuning into a PlayStation event only to see them announcing games for PC.
 
what's with all the live service fearmongering, SOPs barely have GAAS stuff. Marathon hasn't been shown in a PlayStation direct since 2023 lol
 
I highly doubt we'll get any sort of PSSR 2 announcement at a State of Play, it's most likely been shadow dropped to developers without any public announcement, similar to what they've been doing with previous PSSR versions.

I also have a hunch we'll get an FF7 Part 3 announcement teaser.
 
Will be interesting to see how hard they push Marathon in this.

Games i wanna see
- Wolverine gameplay - HUD n all
- Something from intergalactic given the rumors
- Fairgame$ - just rip the bandaid off already
- I would say Saros but I'm already sold on it.
- some new end of generation IP from someone other than Naughty Dog

Hard, they need as much exposure as possible. Outside the Marathon channels the sentiment is still a bit shit to say the least, its do or die time.
