Features Overview #3: Life in Pywel | Crimson Desert

game is racking up a whole shit ton of hype

This looks so kitchen-sinky, now I find out it has a Sims minigame? They just decided to add everything. But we still don't know if the story and quests will be interesting and well written. I hope so, and hopefully the game will be playable and finishable by just exploring and doing quests (I am not into building settlements and what not, ignored that in Fallout 4 as well).

I still wont believe this is a real game until im actually playing it.

Just ridiculous how much hype ive got for this.
Its def gonna be my holiday game GTA can wait.

<----PC only.

Yeah, this is my concern is well. The game previews have kind of that kitchen sink feeling with jack all trades and master of none vibes.

I hope I am wrong and also hopefully PC version is good.

When someone suggested not putting in a game mechanic during development

Anyway, joking aside this was the most stable looking the game has been frames wise.

I think they might actually pull this off. Game looks great.

I'm glad about that, at least you can customize them to some extent (and your mounts!)

The whole greyman camp stuff really remind me of rdr2 camp.

I think they are trying to emulate that, not sure if they can succeed without charismatic characters that you care for tho.

So hopefully we get at least a couple of good ones.

I dont even think thats the character editor. It says dyehouse. I think its just a place where you can customize yr clothing and stuff.

This exactly. It really looks like they just threw everything at it and see if it would work. Tons of things to do, and they seem fun but the main and side quests and how good they are and story overall really remains to be seen. But if they nail it.....we could have something really special.

My God this game has everything I've ever wanted. And now I just learned about fishing, hunting, AND deep characters customization. I am in love with it.

I wish like anything ACG could get an early review out so that it could quell my doubts that all this is true. If it works out this could be as immersive as TW3 and KCD. Hours and course of gameplay.

My fingers are crossed 🤞

...using very probably native res or FSR4 quality for that sweet IQ.

It will be interesting to see how they optimize this for Consoles. I don't have the base PS5 anymore, only the Pro so I have some expectation that it will be fine.

If PSSR 2.0 somehow is talked about during A State of Play and is implemented with games beginning next month then maybe it will help narrow down any potential issues.

Starting to feel optimistic about this, but still will hold until people post their opinions online as there's some things about it I'm not convinced about.

As someone who dabbled in Black Desert for a couple of years, a lot of this looks like an upgraded version of what's in that game.

In Black Desert you can basically have a number of "workers", who can do a lot of the work for you, like farming, fishing, mining, etc and even crafting, so you can set up a loop where some workers gather the resources and some do the crafting with the resources and just have a factory up and running, and the output just gathers in your inventory even when you're not playing, different workers can have different skill sets and make them more suitable for certain tasks, and you can also level them up so they become more productive.
