I think there is another big one after thisJust arrived the second region and I feel like I already completed a full game but now you are telling me that there is another map with almost the same size? This is crazy

Demo didn't click for me at first because of camera too close but then yesterday I noticed you could change the distance and that made it so much better for me. Then I played until the first real boss before the title screen, which took awhile but then something clicked and now I'm itching to buy the full game…
it's satisfying until you have to clear your inventory for what to break down or sell...Why is it that enemies exploding into loot is so damn satisfying?
Please don't tell me you're not using the loot filters...it's satisfying until you have to clear your inventory for what to break down or sell...
No shame in that. The NiOh games are the only games where I always skip cutscenes, even when they play for the first time, the story is pointless nonsense anyways and isn`t even presented well. It seriously doesn`t matter what general shoulderpads 123 or Monsterbuddah 456 says or wants as long as I get to slay stuff.Man I love this game but the story is nonsensical. I never like to skip cutscenes but in this game I am tempted sometimes

Kinda ironic how Nioh has cutscenes and tons of voicelines, but Team Ninja can't write a good story for shit, whereas From's lore and story can be interesting, but they don't tell you a damn thing. That's the one part they should have taken from Souls games lol, but I guess it'd just make them far too similar.Man I love this game but the story is nonsensical. It literally has some of the best built in item systems of these types of games. They make it extremely easy to get as deep in the weeds as you want or completely avoid dealing with it. You have auto loot, auto sell, auto ignore, auto equip, etc.. and you can set it up however you like.it's satisfying until you have to clear your inventory for what to break down or sell...
It's not that bad, it just has hard set frame limits and you have to adjust your settings to keep the limit you choose stable. It's also the same engine as RotR, so whatever settings you used in that game you can basically copy over to this one and you're set. What a piece of shit of an engine. It's embarrassing to say the least. The only saving grace is no shader compilation stutter.
Playing with Global Illumination below Ultra looks really bad at times, there is tons of shimmering, even on Very High.
I started skipping all the cutscenes midway through the second region. I honestly don't even know who half these people are anymore and I don't really care eitherMan I love this game but the story is nonsensical. I never like to skip cutscenes but in this game I am tempted sometimes
Yeah, I have played more now and the map is fun to explore, you can see they actually put some effort in handcrafting the levels.Should have specified its the way activities are structured, not the way the map is designed.

But how the overall content, activities and rewards are structured is Ubisoft tier. At least it's not as bad as Rise of the Ronin, but it's the same philosophy.
I have not deep dived into Nioh 3 but Nioh 2's central story is Shakespeare compared to FromSoft's something cool happened before your arrival but it's gone to shit and here is an item description with no context or this NPC is kinda fucked up but you get something if you go along with their bullshit.Kinda ironic how Nioh has cutscenes and tons of voicelines, but Team Ninja can't write a good story for shit, whereas From's lore and story can be interesting, but they don't tell you a damn thing. Is the second map as big as the first one?Almost done with 2nd region. Definitely gonna do NG+ later, but playing ninja style instead. Gonna feel fresh and different since im only using samurai on my first playthrough
Its smallerIs the second map as big as the first one?
I have most always skipped cutscenes in NiOh. Fantastic games, but I don't need the cutscenes. I'm too much of a Souls fan where the only cutscene that matters is the first, the boss intro, and the ending. I think I was the same with Wo Long and Wuchang. Black Myth I watched. I am in the second region now.Man I love this game but the story is nonsensical. I never like to skip cutscenes but in this game I am tempted sometimes
I tried to give it a chance but nothing makes sense anyway and that doesn't change for the rest of the game so I definitely started skipping themMan I love this game but the story is nonsensical. I never like to skip cutscenes but in this game I am tempted sometimes
Did you grind levels at all? I'm attempting to solo bosses. Nioh 2 I had to grind it out half way in. Around 100ish, the grind wasn't needed. I'm at that point where I don't want to spend 5 minutes hitting for small numbers.Finished my first playthrough in 48 hours. I skipped most of the cutscenes after the second region, though.
Great fucking game. I basically played ninja the whole time with tonfas, melting everything with fire buildup and fire ninjutsu. The bosses were a bit meh, honestly. I was hoping for multi-phase fights, but instead you get sections where you fight several bosses back-to-back
Either way, I'm planning to scoop up the remaining achievements and mess around in NG+

No grind, really. Just explored everything the maps had to offer. My rule with Souls games: I don't run past enemies, if they're in my path, I face them at least once. So, yeah, plenty of fightsDid you grind levels at all? I'm attempting to solo bosses. Nioh 2 I had to grind it out half way in. Around 100ish, the grind wasn't needed. Is it just me or the pc port bad? I have a 9850 and a 5090 64gb ram and when I got to the open world after finishing up the first sections my cpu is at 97% and choppy I have to drop down to 60fps from 4k/120 to play it without stutter!
Sikining that I download the ps5 pro version and while it's a downgrade in quality and sharpness at least it's constantly smooth!! wtf
What!? Is that a fix for the game!?Put your cpu at 99% in power settings, it will fix the cpu being overheated

Those cutscenes when you get a new spirit animal are so boring imo
Either way, I'm having a BLAST with this game. I'm nearing the end and going straight into new game+
Wow, nice skills. I'm already 80 hours in, I think I'm close to the end, and I'm still only at around 70% completion.Finished my first playthrough in 48 hours. I skipped most of the cutscenes after the second region, though.

The master Ongbal is at it again. No damage. (Spoiler warning)
