and who proves it for you? metacritic? a stupid youtube video or do you play it and form then an opinion?
user metacritic score + youtube review normally does it for me.
im quite cautious about this game with all the features shown right now.

Either this game is half ass in every department, of the devs are really godlike, we shall see

game of the gen potential
If a true 8.75 dropped tomorrow it would run away with game of the gen. But I get what you're saying. This looks like they took some notes from RDR2 on the quality side of things. That's the game I see the most similarities with actually. A lot better than last time I checked in on it for sure. Reckon I'm on the hype train now.

Western leaning RPGs normally aren't my thing, but I'm keeping an eye on this for my man Croove. It's incredible to see him go from DJMAX all the way to music director of Pearl Abyss.

I'll wait to buy it and see whag ppl say. perosnaly it looks to me stil like a action mmo game .im sure it has alot of content but its like dragons dogma looks cool but not very deep

The more I see this game the more I feel it wil just be another dragons dogma. Looks cool but its shallow on charcaters lore and story.it just comes off very generic with a game of thrones like story. Very boring not comparable at all to some big gaming ips. But maybe it wil be a huge suprise and story characters are actualy intresting .so far from trailers everything feels flat to me

I'm excited for it BUT the open world being as big as they're claiming has me worried. Sometimes developers create a world so big that you get overwhelmed as a gamer and feel like there's too much to do.
It was an mmo. I doubt they wil add intresting characters lore story etc tht would make this game amazing .so far they just added bunch of features but it seems to be lacking in any sort of charcater as an ip.

I also noticed you play apparently 3 characters in this game and control each of them individually for separate portions of the story. So it's going to be interesting to see how they balance everything out and try and give each character enough depth to get u invested. I do think the graphics and world itself artistically looks really nice on the eyes.

Could be cool, game seems to have a ton of content and variety. I just hope it's not one of those "wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle" kind of game.

That David Android fellow is banned. I think the mods must have figured him out.

I'm guessing he was a previously banned member come back to stir shit.

Either that or he was just an ass, lol.

I can't shake the feeling that this game is some sort of scam being run from an internet cafe in Nigeria or India.
The game has been shown at various events over the last 12 months, not sure why you'd think that.

This is from 8 months ago. It's very real.

This is one of those games i'll come out of my comfort zone for (online MP) and give it a go.

It seems way too good to be true, but here's hoping... I wasn't aware these guys are 1400 developers, but I guess that explains the massive scope and detail.

I haven't been impressed with a game's scope and since probably my first Elder Scrolls game.

There has to be some catch to all of this.

For whatever reason I can't get excited. I am interested though.

I wonder if this will be the Expedition 33/Baldur's Gate 3 of 2026. Seems like it has the potential to.

Edit: dude, there's fucking bear mounts and mechs?

Seems to be doing almost too much, hopefully it holds together as a package.

Should we be a little concerned that they seem to be throwing everything but the kitchen sink at this one? If they can patch it all together then fair play.

If I had to raise a personal beef, it's that I'm not feeling any strong characters. Similar games like The Witcher 3 work so well because of the incredible cast. This game seems very beige in that respect. I haven't the care to even know what the main guy is called.

It's a fine line. I'm ok with a game doing a lot, but it has to roll things out gradually. I don't want to start the game killing bandits and by level 10 I'm in a mech. I want to earn the cool stuff over many hours of play.

Having played BDO, I'm very cautiously optimistic.

Because I think the story is going to be pretty meh, while the various systems might work very well. The story in BDO was just very, basically kid's cartoon level, the kind of writing you'd expect from an episode of Transformers or TMNT. It's not horrible and cringey like some of the modern writing, but also nothing that would impress an grown adult.

Yeah lots of question marks over this game. it talks the talk. Lets see if it can walk.

We've seen 2 1 hour long demos with pretty much uninterrupted gameplay, people were allowed to play it for 30 minutes at TGS and GamesCom last year. If a developer is this confident, then I am not worried about the game being real or not.

This is a far cry from what CDPR did with Cyberpunk (their fake demo was behind closed doors and no one was allowed to play it).

I am also not worried about performance. The recommended specs are a 2080 ffs. It will run on M1 Macs. So the engine is scalable. We know that a 9070XT runs the game at 40-50ish fps at native(!) 4K... so mid-range PCs and the PS5 Pro should have a very decent experience.

The only thing I am worried about is polish. How much jank, how many bugs? Will we see dragons flying backwards? Will be get catapulted into orbit after doing some fancy combat moves? Jank can be funny, but I generally don't like to see it.

It was about time
Nothing of value has been lost my man. If fact it's a net gain for my eyeballs.

That my main concern, the scope is insane. But i'll take a bit of Jank if the game is good. See Arc Raiders.

It was first being built as an MMO and then changed to single player. That's why it has so many systems and things to do. They just kept it all in and made it SP focused.

It's not gonna be a big narrative and cut scene heavy game most likely, more like Zelda or Elden ring after it opens up. So if that's what you're after, its probably not here.

This game looks absolutely insane in its depth. Hard to believe it's all real and coming from some next to unknown dev team. Definitely my most anticipated game right now but at one point I was also really anticipating Biomutant so we see things don't always pan out the way we'd want.

With that said if it does turn out the way it looks like it should, this will absolutely be a 90+ meta/opencritic GOTY contender and sell a metric shit ton.

Looks like they forgot all the stuff tht single player games need.good charcaters and good story and good lore for rpg . So far nothing hooks me about this copycat game of thrones story

Zelda and Elden Ring are missing all that too.
I'm with you on the characters and story... but lore? Elden Ring has exceptionally good lore. There's a reason there are entire communities built around Fromsoft games who spend countless hours sorting through the details and piecing everything together. Fromsoft is masterclass at lore in gaming.
