He had a nice position, which ultimately had no power, because pappa microsoft doesn't care about gaming, or enough to invest in it.

Spencer was a gamer with a title in a corporation not really interested in gaming.

Ironically, he would have fitted better at Sony and the dude from Sony, which felt like a suit, would have fitted better at Microsoft.

the $70 billion sale is already in the toilet, xbox hardware is dead, rog ally was a flop, gamepass sinking like a stone, magnus is a nonstarter because of the rampocalypse, fable looks like ass, halo is a B-tier franchise...

Xbox needs a change of direction, not sure if this is it, but if you survey the entire landscape there's not a lot to be positive about in this area.

That whole team was fucking trash, so good riddance. With the exception of Matt Booty (who still wasn't doing a good job), there was absolutely zero reason for any of those clowns to be there, let alone in leadership positions. I have absolutely no doubt that the new boss will be equally useless, but I haven't had faith in the Xbox business in well over a decade so whatever. Sink the ship.

Gotta be one of the worst runs ever for someone in his position right? Basically zero good years in his entire reign and arguably just got consistently worse the longer he was there. Any other company without that kind of money would have just closed down shop by now,
 
Phil and Sarah either made the decision to leave this week or they was pushed out .... the retirement is happening way too soon for it to have been on good terms but who knows .... this is nuts.

Seems she may know her audience more so than the CEO of MS. Well at least how to word a statement.
 
We have like two or three years of Spencer's planing, then shit will be changed for real, and I'm seriously in doubts of will be better or worse

Also, it's just me or Spencer is looking kinda sick? His face doesn't look good in recent days

Nah I dont believe that at all. She probably said that as way to imply that their AI is top notch, and not like those other AI garbage content in the market. Willing to bet she believe in AI supremacy.

The irony is she's basically admitting that the rest of MSFT, pouring billions of dollars into AI, is simply churning out souless slop. :messenger_tears_of_joy:
