I have a 4080, PT could be off the table if it is heavier than cyberpunk.
my 5080 is only 30% faster and it is more or less fine at 4k dlss performance. The first area was definitely the hardest to run and hovered around 50 fps but there is no gameplay there so it was fine. the alleyway was a locked 60 fps with room to spare so i switched to dlss balanced. indoors i can probably push to dlss quality because there is still some performance headroom.
the game is mostly set indoors from what ive seen. play with it on and if it becomes worse during the more open leon sections, just drop the resolution a bit. i really wish these games had DRS so i dont have to keep switching back and forth.
Edit:
I should mention that the 5080 is complete garbage for Path traced games. And games that use ray reconstruction. I can max out a game using Ray tracing at 4k DLAA and the GPU wattage barely hits 300 watts, but the moment i turn on path tracing or ray reconstruction, and it goes up to 360 watts. The fans start moaning like a whore and i basically have to reduce settings or turn off these ray tracing settings that are taxing the GPU so much, it goes into overdrive. Which would be fine if the cooling solution would keep up with it but nope.
Never seen this before in my 2080, 3080 and GTX 570 all those years ago. You should be able to max out your GPU without fear of it burning out because of poor cooling.
What is the most comparable game to re9? anal wake 2?
SlimySnake
what looks better?
lol i played for only 20 minutes at midnight last night. i got kids and have to wake up early to get them ready for school.
in those 20 minutes, the early section is peak graphics. right up there with the best UE5 has to offer, if not better. Forget alan wake 2, it is in a league of its own. Maybe marvel 1943? But once you go indoors its dark and last gen assets everywhere. evne in the bathroom which isnt completely dark, you can tell its last gen with Path tracing slapped on. its no Silent Hill 2. of course, im only 20 minutes in.
