That feeling under pressure having to solve a Trigonometry problem is going to beConstructive criticism from this image:
Maybe Bungie should put some Geometry in their extraction shooter in the next patch. Try to hit that market as well.
I haven't done that personally because echo chambers are not good for anyone.Dawg in other thread said he put every thread but the OT on ignore lmao bruh, where am I... Retardera?
I just am old school man is all, back on ign and vn board days people just talked like the common rules were just don't attack the poster but it was all free game to talk the game pros and cons. I just struggle with the idea behind someone has to hide threads to enjoy their game more, I think that underlying says something more than just they want to enjoy their game because I feel when people get that mad about it, it's because there's hints of truth... But that's just my take.I haven't done that personally because echo chambers are not good for anyone.
That said if it is ruining someone's enjoyment of a game seeing the fun people have hating on a game then maybe thread ignoring helps them more with enjoyment?
It's better this way than Era just silencing people full blast. Leave the OT to discuss the game for those playing, and all else out in the other threads.

I do think the worst part of current internet hive mind getting a massive thrill and enjoyment from CCU, calling games slop, concord 2.0, etc is the worst trend to ever happen. It's insufferable and for every 1 thoughtful post on "why did this game fail?" You get 20+ just hate farming. I don't get it.
I do like the memes - even as a Highguard enjoyer lol.
the COPE in this thread is kind of unreal I agree with waiting for the weekend numbers but the same timeSo much canvassing around here
this 1000%I think it's wild the people that don't seem to understand the idea behind wishing failure on a game... I'm not going into the OT for this just carrying over the notion but everyone wishes some type of failure in life, it's not anything new... I mean don't we all with sports wish for other teams to fail? I wanted mahomes and chiefs to fail to get new blood in the superbowl, what's the difference? It doesn't hurt the sport, and my wishing failure doesn't hurt anyone it's my own stance
Someone said it's weird to wish failure on a game, I think it's weird to be so attached emotionally to a game that someone can't handle people having their reasons why they want something to fail.. I hate extraction, I don't want anymore. Do I realize more will come? Sure... But to slow the pace some failures I hope happen. Its merely a point of view, it doesn't affect anyone that loves extraction. Just as those individuals want more, whether they get more or not it's up to the gaming world... Whatever comes down the pike comes down the pike, but we can all have opinions.
Then there's work ethics and morals that sometimes people include in their dislike etc. It all is just how we're wired.
The biggest thing I feel we see tho is alot of personalities that think if you don't like what they like, then you're the problem, you're crazy because how could you NOT like the same game they do and how could you even ever wish it to fail? That's to me what is prevalent and the new wave of thinking.
Anyways just ramblin
Maybe he shouldn't hurry, might be made F2P at this rate. Honestly I might even try it if it was, just to say I played a Bungie/extraction genre game. Keyword being "might" lol.Something tells me that you better hurry...
they should have already learned this with helldivers 2Maybe this is the moment Sony will realise that success comes from making games we want to play rather than games that they want us to play.
That's asking for too much though obviously.

In that case Marathon is doomed.
and I will say this one more time Halo and Destiny are completely different games than what marathon is.I believe they're still high and mighty on Halo and Destiny but those ancient big hits
It's just frustrating because to me destiny really was a special game, it broke the barrier which is so hard to do these days for live service it pains me to see how they basically put that game on life support for this.and I will say this one more time Halo and Destiny are completely different games than what marathon is.
Destiny had at least some campaigns I'm like Marathon which has none.
the only thing Marathon has going for it is really damn good lore
maybe but I think it being paywall the might hurt itPlayer count isn't great for live service, but 87% positive user reviews is damn impressive, I have to say.
This may turn into a "word of mouth" hit.
Either way, this ain't concord comparable. Time to put that to bed.
edit: user reviews addressed below
Once you pop, you cant stop! Pew Pew Pew.Too many shooters online.
Just stop
Its not weird, Sony was still in love with their expensive buyout of Bungie and considered them the ultimate experts of live service. Their Factions 2 is 'not very sustainable' report to Sony played a major role in its cancellation, regardless of whatever ND's Twitter PR said. It's weird that they dropped the Last of Us Online when that was the one title that could have continued that trend. If it was because Naughty Dog didn't have the resource for a GaaS they could have brought in Bluepoint or another dev to support it.
AAA gaming has been circling the toilet for a long time as costs go up and everything is just seen as a platform to extract money over a longer and longer period of time. Enough people are finally sick of it and it's about time. Sure people are celebrating and having fun with it but that's just one side of a much larger issue people have with these games and companies.I haven't done that personally because echo chambers are not good for anyone.
That said if it is ruining someone's enjoyment of a game seeing the fun people have hating on a game then maybe thread ignoring helps them more with enjoyment?

True, but it's probably because one would expect Sony's ambitions to be higher than that. A more realistic benchmark could be Arc Raiders, which isn't a Fortnite level cash cow either. So many internet hot take producers unable to comprehend that a game can be in between a Concord/Highland bust and a Fortnite level cash cow.
Your Friday night plans suck lolI look forward to see what tonight's drop looks like.
This is the bit I don't get.
Why spend so much time and effort making a game with such a high barrier to enjoyment.
It's obviously great fun for skilled, organised groups. But casuals can go kick rocks.
Ehh, when you're 40+, Friday nights don't mean that much. I have enjoyed my evening though, occasionally opening the tab to see Marathons demise.Your Friday night plans suck lol

Maybe they're having a post chicken nuggies nap before getting a game on?
The problem is the rumored $250 million budget, this game needed to be a Fortnite level cash cowSo many internet hot take producers unable to comprehend that a game can be in between a Concord/Highland bust and a Fortnite level cash cow.
Damn now I could really go for some 76 dollar mcnugsYou guys are real assholes, you know that?
Now I have to doordash McNuggets.
Satiate the question with completely unralted informationBro I really don't give a fuck I was just looking for card games to satiate your question
I'm completely over arguing about dumb fucking ccus
Sure.Casuals can play something else. I will never touch Dota or LoL but I never wish for these games to be simpler and easier to play. They are just not for me.
I too am 40+...Ehh, when you're 40+, Friday nights don't mean that much. I have enjoyed my evening though, occasionally opening the tab to see Marathons demise.
This is basically what I did, except I hopped on the Battlefield Labs Solo Redsec solo test.Maybe they're having a post chicken nuggies nap before getting a game on?
Steamdb estimate 300k copies sold, if we're generous (given the PS/MS store rankings) and double that, it's roughly $24m before the stores take their cut... how much did this game cost again?
The game alone? Easily north of 100 million, probably a lot more. And still producing ongoing costs for new content etc.Steamdb estimate 300k copies sold, if we're generous (given the PS/MS store rankings) and double that, it's roughly $24m before the stores take their cut... how much did this game cost again?
Americans still have brand loyalty to Bungie, Halo Reach was 15 years ago. The way Xbox have fucked up the last 10 years will be studied for generations.Welp looks like i lowbailed it yesterday, 78k 24h ccu peak durning US primetime, looks like americans love the game much more from europeans, especially if we consider 800m eurobros vs 350m freedomfighters
Still game lost 10k ccu on its 2nd day when normal thing would be some kind of weekend bump
Currently at 10:30 am eurotime game sitting at 38589 so about 7k higher vs yesterdays 31k.
It's not a GaaS specific problem, the reality is the gaming market is contracting.Got a feeling while Marathon is not for me ( I'm done with any GaaS FPS game), it doesn't seem to be a bad game.
And it seems that there's more and more people no longer very interested with GaaS. And the once that are don't instantaneously abandon their current game for a new one.
Weather is cold and rainy so I'll be clowning marathonBefore you guys start making fun of the game for today please educate yourselves and remember it's national play outside day
