A Rick and two Dicks, what are you trying to pull here mate?

Has anyone here checked out the series Power?

Honestly, it's really damn good. Season 1 is solid, but everything after that is prime TV, in my opinion. Although it can get VERY silly

Just wanted to throw a recommendation out there. There are six seasons and I'm almost done.

Plus, there's a spin-off featuring one of my favorite characters, which makes it even better

I don't think I'm a very entitled person but one thing I'm very entitled with is waiting in lines. I refuse to do it. I have a 15 minute limit. Including waiting on hold on the phone, waiting in lines in stores, whatever. If it takes over 15 minutes I'm out. And if me leaving said lines inconveniences someone else, so be it. Life is too short, people were not meant to waste their day waiting around and standing around.

Had a package I needed to mail ASAP. Walked into my local post office and there were about 20 people in line with one person manning the register. Immediately left. On the way home, passed another post office that only had 2 people in line. Btw the post office is far and away the worst in-store experience these days for me. I was telling a friend before I left that every time I go to a post office there is someone at the register trying to haggle or asking a million questions about something with no regard for the line behind them. Naturally, when I go into that other post office, as I walk in the guy at the register was ranting to the clerk about how a package was marked as attempted delivery on Saturday and he was like I was waiting on my porch all day, there was no attempted delivery. You lied! And the woman at the register was like I don't know what to tell you sir I just work here, it's out for delivery today so you'll get it today. And he was like I want the name of the person who lied and marked it as attempted delivery. He wasn't there to be a customer, he was just there to rant. Every single fucking time I go into the post office, same thing happens.

Anyway, after he left, I was next person up. No line waiting. Win!

That's fucking capitalism. Staff costs money. Don't hire staff, let them work more and the customers wait.

Last October I finally started the process of settling my mother's assets with a notary after she died in 2020. Closing her bank account, validating her will, collecting her insurance etc...

Oh boy is this shit taking forever.
Bureaucracy at its finest.

I have to sign an authorization in person at the notary's but she says she's very busy this time of the year and I haven't heard from her in 2 weeks.
I just sent her an email to put a bit of pressure while remaining polite & professional.

Back in 2012 I was executor for the will of my mom's neighbor and it barely took 2 months to resolve the whole thing.

I hate notaries; they're loser nerds who failed at becoming lawyers 😐
