Where are the arcade racers?

i started playing this on steam deck other day, i had xbox 360 version but didnt know it was also on pc(abandonware ofc)
Physics are wild, you can basically drift all track like going downhill in u2 drift race. Graphics and art are impeccable. Also game has really cool track deformation system since all shredded tracks etc persist through race and affect your line

On PC it also has an unfixable bug where the game is locked at 62 fps and has terrible frame pacing and never looks smooth. This was never fixed.

Arcade Racers nowaday are everywhere
Too bad no one buys them because no one really care about, at least not enough

Been playing this and i was pleasantly surprised. It has a bunch of weird mechanics but as i played more they began to make sense within the context of the game, giving it a surprising amount of depth (so i suggest anyone trying this to go through the tutorial).

Another impressive thing is the amount of content. Its insane, this has more tracks than mario kart 8 deluxe by a comfortable margin, every cup is composed solely of unique tracks with unique themes and courses (no reverse or mirror bullshit).

Its 100% free, give it go if you're at least slightly interested

Missed the Spark the Electric Jester dev has been developing an F-Zero like too. Tbh Aero GPX looks like the best of that lot (well, only if playing F-Zero GX forever doesn't suit you) so I might have seen this one before and just skipped it unaware of the dev, though the story stuff is intriguing too.

Raw Components Racing (RCR) - terrible name - recently got announced and despite there only being a teaser available and a bit more info on their website, it does look really cool. Vehicle customisation seems to be one of the main mechanics and it has a cool sci-fi look.
