Arknights: Endfield |OT| A Story of One of The Last Originium-powered Multi-surface Vessels. The Year is ~1254. The Name of The Place is Tallos-II

Man, I am kinda bummed that Ive fallen off the bandwagon. Lost track of things during one of the mandatory factory tutorials and haven't gotten back in.

Hey, is there actually no better way to move stuff from Valley 4 to Wuling (or vise-versa...) than using the backpack at the space station..?
That's—to put it mildly—a bit of a suboptimal solution...
Or did I miss something somewhere..?

Not really. But aside from some initial batteries to jump start your bases, I didn't think it was that necessary for anything other than that; maybe another item or two. You can use the automatic metatransfer feature (click on AIC to set it up) but that takes like 1 hour per transfer batch. It's very helpful for a consistent ferrium boost though.

No idea how I missed them, but I just spotted these inject extractors in my valuables stash while doing dailies and I think they came from the last BP. They work kind of like Genshin's system, where you can condense stamina into resin to use later if you're in a hurry and only logging in for the daily reward. I have 10 of them, and it looks like the current paid BP has 10 in total as well. These injectors will def come in handy in the future.

never used this before but yeah i got 10. i assume you can use the sanity items that are expiring then use this to convert it into non-expiring sanity?

Yup, that's exactly how it functions. I had some of those sanity items expiring in two days that I didn't really want to spend immediately so I used them and then converted it with these inject extractors, which makes the sanity non‑expiring.

So yesterday I spent, I think, 4(!) hours tinkering with my AIC setups, and now I'm getting just 1(!) unit per minute of Buck Capsule A, HC Battery, and Cryston Component... 😅... Somehow I don't have enough storage outputs, and the lines I built before never quite fit with the new ones. Has anyone here ever just torn everything down completely and rebuilt it from scratch..? ^^
Somehow I'm managing to produce everything, but none of it is really running at full capacity.

Is there perhaps a fan-made Google Docs document or something similar out there with a checklist for efficient factories?

Wuling
Needs Valley 4 at level 12 for metastorage transfer. Might be outdated with the new outpost, but I haven't gotten there in the 1.1 patch yet.

My factory workflow is to pin the schematic to the top of the screen, then, starting from the end going backwards, place all the necessary buildings inside the AIC Area. Sometimes it's just one at a time, many times there are multiples of the same building because of material requirements of some item blueprints. I kind of arrange the lot, then route the belts and power. There's tinkering at that stage but it's easier once you have all the buildings on the map already.
I used to work my way up the schematic, from the beginning, but this way ensures I have the correct multiples of every component. And yes, I tore down most of the stuff in both core AIC areas to make way for advanced production. It's a lot faster and more efficient with each new attempt.
When it's all done I check the AIC income table to make sure there's enough yield for all the components. Oh and the farms I keep on the other side of the factory, they don't need to be near the Depot at all and are very compact if you copy and rotate the three buildings.

Thanks! But it seems, on PS5 i can't enter the blueprint codes (the search field does not allow entering such long codes) - is this only possible on PC..?

Turns out I was trying to enter the codes on the wrong screen... ^^

On a side note: I didn't realize until now that you can actually move the AIC Core... Lol

This is indeed really good system, sadly, it's tied to BP and you can't get these extractors via other means. And speaking of Sanity, Sanity event was complete trash, I thought it'll give double rewards just like any other gacha in existance doing it, but instead it's just a small discount, ugh, not going to even bother with this event again in the future.

Avy is finaly max Potential, but of course there's no Tangtang (didn't get her sig yet as well).

Also used the thing they put into outpost store to skip the grind for weapon gear (is it just one time thing or it'll refresh in a month or so)? to get perfect essence for Surtrs sig. Thank fuck I don't need to worry about that anymore and before that I got a few for 2 more characters as well so I don't need to worry about that as well.

And what about Prydwen? They abandoned the game or something? There's no Tangtang review and tier list updates - https://www.prydwen.gg/arknights-endfield/tier-list/

Just finished leveling Yvonne's Essence and I'm basically done building her now. I brought both her and her weapon to level 90 a couple of days ago, and I upgraded her important skills to mastery rank 2. I might take them to max, but it's expensive and I'm not sure it's worth it. I'd rather put those resources into the physical team, which I put on hold until I was done with the cryo team.

It's most likely because of this. Guobafield is the premier guide maker for HSR and has branched out into Endfield guides as well, so if he didn't get access, then there's a big chance Prydwen didn't either.

These are actually fantastic. I didn't want to just copy them exactly—because where's the fun in that? ;)—but they really helped me figure out what and how much of it I actually need.
So—after another 4 hours or so of tinkering around, I'm now at least in Valley 4 (in Wuling I still have to unlock some AIC stuff) close to the optimum.

And I have to say—this whole process of building the infrastructure, then the AIC sites, and the optimization, has to be one of the most satisfying things I've done in gaming over the last year or so... :)

Is there some weekly boss thing or something I'm missing out on in this game? I'm still playing it ultra casual, but if I'm time gated by boss rewards, I should probably try them out. If it's not time gated, then I'm ok.

Oh, and one more thing. When I pushed Yvonne to level 90 and maxed her essence, I noticed her physique got upgraded too. I guess my girl hit the gym between patches, lol.

Man I can't get over how fun my Ice team is with Tangtang. Just that one character really opened it up a LOT. Even Last Rite feels useful and strong now. It's such an active team. I ran out of t-creds to build it out though, so right now I'm playing with all of the characters gimped. Even still, it's good enough to mess around with in the hardest material farming stages that I have access to.

Shame the pull income is so shit in this patch, I'd consider going for Tangtang S1.

That kinda has me thinking, are they really not doing any events or anything in this patch?

Anyways, today I finished getting the 3rd outpost in Valley IV to level 4, now I hit rank 12 economy or whatever for Valley IV. I didn't realize that once you maxed out an area, you can do a "metaphysical" transfer, which allows you to transfer something you're holding in the Valley IV depot to the Wuling depot without it actually consuming anything. I put one of those Dense Originium powder in the storage, and now it's going to transfer like 500/hour to Wuling even though I don't even own 500 of them, nor am I crafting them. Neat feature. It won't let me transfer stuff that originated in Wuling though, like Xiranite or any of the new components.

There'll just a couple events, but I just can't see how in the world they'll have like 50 pulls for me to get Tangtang and I've 100% now, which means if I don't get her before she's gone, I'll get Rossi cuz I already lost to a dupe of Yvonne.

They really want us to swipe our cards and it's is absolute not the thing I'll be doing, meaning that Tangtang won't come home at all and... I'm also beginning to think why I even need Rossi...? Man, all those lost pulls I thrown at Tangtang's sig... all wasted for nothing :messenger_weary: 🫴

Worse still, there's not info on pull count for 1.1 and I bet it's complete shit.

You'd think they'd be a little more generous with events and things that even give like 50-100 Ororberyl, considering a single 10-pull is 5000 of them, an insanely high amount IMO. There's very little renewable reward content in this game right now, pretty much everything is a one-time reward. I would have thought they'd put a renewable section in the Stock exchange for each region with some Origimetry or Oroberyls or something, but nada.

Kinda funny because I'm 99% sure the original Arknights lets your factory farm the pull currency slowly over time. We can't even do that in Endfield which is a lot more factory focused.

Speaking of Rossi, what's her thing anyways? Is she a dps or a supporter or what? I know very little about her other than that I think she's Physical.

Another bad side effect of not having a content creator server to let us know all of this stuff.

From what I've seen she's basically dps Chen on crack. Specializes in physical/vulnerability. She also converts elemental inflictions into vulnerability so operators like gilberta, wulfgard, etc can thrive in a physical team (where normally they wouldn't).

F2P players get 78 limited pulls when you include the 10 expiring permits from the login events.
As expected, complete and utter shit! And that's for both banners which makes it even more obvious that they want for people to pay and whale.

If only I knew it before hand... damn. Now I for sure will not pull for anyone or anything in 1.1 cuz it's completely pointless given the pull count and basically just 1-2 10 pulls for sigs - how in the world are you even supposed to pull anything? Fuck all that. My desire to play through 1.1's story is at rock-bottom now as well.

It is the absolute worst gacha game when it comes to pull income and how much you need of it to pull anything. 1.1 made it even more clear and worse.

Not buying BP and Sub, they don't deserve it.

Crazy that they're already saying "Fuck the F2Ps". A little over half of a single character hard pity when they're releasing 2+ characters per patch. At least the limited characters so far go to the 50/50 loss pool permanently, but still that's pretty cheap by big gacha standards.

That actually sounds cool. I like characters that add flexibility to teambuilding like that. But yea, I had to hard pity Tangtang, so my chances aren't looking good.

Probably the side effect of making dupes not really THAT good, and as far as I know there's no endgame sweaty mode to really push your teams right now(?)

Though, from all impressions I've seen, the 1.1 story is supposedly very good. Since it's featuring the Soupreme Chief, I'm definitely looking forward to it.

Yea, skipping 3 characters to guarantee the 4th seems like a bad player economy, especially when the factory stuff filters out a lot of people and Valley IV is a pretty shit first impression of the game. So they're looking at a tough sell to bring in new players, and now a uphill battle to retain people that can't pull for anything. Strange strategy. It might work on a 2D .png tower defense game, but in a super expensive high budget game like Endfield...
I have terrible gacha luck in this game, its rough lol
Bro, same. Out of all the big name gachas, I've by far had the worst luck in this game.

Yeah, I enjoy the game, but I'm not happy with the pull economy, so I'm avoiding pulling for Tangtag right now even though I want her. The Monthly Sub + BP is a cheap expense for me, so I'll keep paying that, but nothing more.

Tbh, the bigger issue for me personally is the time commitment, since I can't play it as casually as something like HSR, WuWa, or ZZZ (five minutes in and out, tops). I'll have to reevaluate how I spend my time in Endfield once NTE releases.

The new mining setup is a little confusing, but you have to make use of water to mine.
The spot with 6 rigs you can use 2 regular water pumps in the nearby lake with splitters and connect them to each rig.
The spot with 2 rigs you need to connect them to the wifi water output, connect that to a wifi water input north of there, then connect that with a pipe to a water pump over the wooden platform.

The 1.1 quest seems like it was made by 2 different teams. The regular part used mostly stock animations and poor use of camera angles/spanning, but then you get the post quest aka character quest that seems like it took 10x the effort to animate and plan.

Well, the dupes... they're basically necessary for certain characters, so no, not all of them are not really that good, unfortunately - you need all 5 for Arclight to be considered playable for example.

My desire to even do it now is... Idk if I'll care anymore if 1.2 will have just as shit pull count as 1.1... I'll probably just drop the game and call it a day. I'm not going to pay anything just to get only one character each update if even that. Fuck it. I better invest into GFL2.

I'm very curious to see what kind of response 1.1 will get after people will realize that they won't be pulling shit in 1.1 unless paying a shit ton and potentially in all future updates as well.

It looks like next patch the time required goes way down. Some of the resources will auto collect (like the Recycling nodes). I think even in this patch, they added that overflow goes directly to your mail for the character/weapon growth map materials.

(I think that's what this means - timestamped)

I checked yesterday but forgot to post here. I've had all the rare growth mats from Valley 4 capped for a couple of days now since I already have plenty, and at the moment I'm only focusing on gathering the rare growths from Wuling. So far, I haven't received any of the Valley 4 gatherables via mail. Unless I'm missing something, it's probably a feature that didn't make it into this version.

That said, I'm glad they're paying attention to this aspect, because I'm sure I'm not the only one struggling with the amount of time the game demands daily, stuff that usually takes 5 minutes tops in other popular gachas.

Iwintolosegaming just released his Tangtang guide. He puts out solid Genshin and WuWa character guides, with detailed calcs for weapons, teams, dupes, etc. Worth a look if you're curious about that stuff.

How do you guys feel about the game? Nonwithstanding the pull economy? I feel the hype for this game really fell off. None of the characters feel like must have, the story is going nowhere, the 1.1 added bit was laughable and it's lacking in content severely. I know, can't compare it to old gacchas that got update after update but they need to come up with a replayable mode that doesn't involve sanity or else they'll be in for a rough time.

it's lacking in content severely.
I can't say anything about the rest of your post because it's just opinion, but this is factually false. This game had an insane amount of content at 1.0. 1.1 definitely has only added a small amount compared to launch, but it's insane how many systems/quests/growth mechanics/etc were in the base game at launch.

Anyways, for me, I think they do need some modes with renewable rewards to help the pull economy and bored players that bumrushed the entire game in the launch patch, but that's easy enough to add in. People at large love 'current patch shill' endgame modes full of DPS races and timers, so I'm sure there will be one of those sooner or later.

But yea, they're fighting an uphill battle to keep people interested in their factory stuff and anti-QoL mechanics that serve no purpose other than to take up unnecessary amounts of time.

I'm currently having fun working through stuff slowly, personally.

After 1.1 release I lost all faith in it cuz they didn't address absolutely anything the game done horribly wrong incl pull economy. There's literally nothing to do in it if you're done with 1.0, the end game is terrible to bad, the events are crap, boring or lazy + to say it's not enough of them is to say absolutely nothing. You literally don't have almost any pull income in the game and the one in the game now is 10-15 times less than it should be.

I honestly think their BS ego is gonna EOS the game in like 2 updates from now, cuz it is clear as day that they're not willing to make all nessesary changes to make the game better as well as pull economy. They've spend like 30% more on advertising than HoYo did for Genshin for over 6 years since launch! WTF? What does it tell you? Did it make the game better? No. They're just throwing whales money away instead of making the game better and doing stupid streaming events for CC a lot of which turning down paid promos and don't want to play the game.

Kuro spends a lot less on advertising and it's one of the few best gacha games on the market in comparison. Moreover, GRYPHLINE advertising 1.1 and saying that it has 140 pull while in fact it's ~2 times less! And as if that's not enough, there's no early access servers for CC at all, meaning that all content will be at least 1 week late if not more and if anyone will even decide to make it and get like 10-15 times less views than they could've gotten pre-release or day one. They're so tone-deaf it's un-effin'-believable and even paying people to play and stream the game is no working right now as I said, a few CCs still doing it but it's a drop in the ocean and knowing that it's sponsored there's no reason to watch it, cuz you're not going to get honest opinion about the state of the game.

They deserve what's coming, but I don't think it'll change anything in a way it needs to be changed once and for all for the game.

I get your disappointment, my bro, but there's no chance of that happening unless they seriously mess up the content they plan to release this year. In China, for the month of February, it was the #7 most played PC game according to Lenovo stats (they track data from over 200 million monthly active users on PCs and laptops they sold in mainland China, so it's about as accurate as third‑party data gets).

And on JP iOS, the Tangtang banner is performing well, and it'll probably end up around the same level as Gilberta and Yvonne.

Are you for real with the ad figures?

I mean yeah that's what I was saying, hype was quite insane prior to release and on day 1, I could see ads on repeat over JP tv here.
I can't deny I had fun discovering the game and I actually liked Valley 4 better than Wuling. But even though they packed quite a few quests 1.0 it feels less content than the other games for some reason. I can't pinpoint why, could be cause once you're done with AIC, you're set up, combat not being that engaging (can clear anything easily), the meaningless story, convoluted companion quests.

My daughter's account is all character minus Tang Tang and Last Rite, pretty sure she has all 6 stars twice. I got Lifeng twice, Gilberta 3 or 4 times, Ember twice, 2 accounts (because there is not enough of currency for you to level up multiple groups), all characters except Tang Tang. I know pull economy is major pet peeve but to me that's not even the major gripe, I don't even feel the need to have a new character cause their playstyle doesn't feel that special. I think they fucked up just having one button for combat mechanics and going one button combos/reactions. So once you take combat off the equation you got very few modes that are appealing. Nothing to chase, really.

Also quite amazing that they still didn't put VRR on PS5 and that you have a performance and quality mode that barely do nothing yet the game is pro enhanced.

I'm fine
Don't care about pull economy as I have credit card
1.1 story was good and kinda unusual to have boss battle in the middle of story instead usual trope story-boss-short ending
Factory keeps getting ridiculous but I love it. Just made setup for SC battery and thinking about creating wulin advanced med line

Generally I don't play too much, as I generally don't have much time to play and also play WWM, so spending 1-2 hours across different activities feels nice. ZZZ boring me a lot in comparison because it's all combat and nothing else after patch story is done.

I'm genuinely having fun. Love the new factory stuff, keep building new teams which provides good variety in combat - generally there's always something to do each time I log in outside of dailies. Maybe a quest or too, maybe I decide to add/improve a production line or just running round.

The gacha system is stingy but maybe they'll loosen the strings this year, cash in on the "devs listened" trick. It's easy to be generous at first but you'll be expected to follow up forever afterwards so there's that too. It's a privately onwed company afaik so they have the leeway to do things their way for better or for worse.

As it stands outside of story I don't really have any major gripes with the game.

I know, can't compare it to old gacchas that got update after update but they need to come up with a replayable mode that doesn't involve sanity or else they'll be in for a rough time.
I think the game is good but considering I'm playing Wuwa, ZZZ already and have high hopes for NTE after playing the closed Beta, being just good won't cut it for much longer. I'm still logging in but it becomes less and less. On average every 2-3 days during the last weeks. I also cleaned up my friends list two days ago and removed everyone with 3 or more days offline and I had to remove 57 of the 100 people I added in the first week.
I don't really care about the factory stuff so in the end it's a game with okayish combat, great graphics and performance , a trash story (though 1.1 was definitely an improvement) and mostly uninteresting character designs for me personally- which just isn't enough with the big amount of open world gachas out there.

Welp, my 50/50 winning streak on the character banner is officially over (lost to Last Rite). Went all the way to 120 pity to get my copy of Tangtang, but at least I managed to get my Xiahi to P5 in the process.

Are you for real with the ad figures?
Yes, I'm dead serious, you can easily check this on specific tracking sites which can be used to track how much companies spending on advertising for each game. It's absolutely insane, dude. They spend a lot less in march so far, but march is not over yet.

I like the idea behind combat in Endfield, but I absolutely hate what they did with idiotic stagger mechanics and just how much time you need to spend dealing with it to then actually deal dmg to enemies. Like, I shit you now, it's so idiotic that you can kill Elites before the stagger bar is fully depleted even making it completely useless. The enemy design is absolute shit in the game as well outside of Wuling's unique creatures based on the environment.

The whole game feels like it was made in a lot of ways by very, very unexperienced team which didn't know exactly what they were doing and what game they were building so it took them years and multiple betas to end up with the mess we have now. And then there's greedy and arognat af Publisher of theirs who's making the absolute worse possible decisions and trying to kill the game instead of making it better, spending a shit ton of money on ads in hope to bring players back somehow after a ton of them left - Kuro also did the returnee event after 1.0 disaster btw.

Like, it's not a bad game, but they did everything they could to kill absolutely any hype around it amd CC in fear for leaks - clearly they don't want us to know how bad everything is and now even more than before. Thick Thighs Save Lives Thick Thighs Save Lives said there's not chance for it to EOS but seeing what they did or rather not did to make the whole situation any better, I just can't think of any other way for it to end soon. Far less impressive games gone EOS cuz of various stupid decisions made by their creators and refusal to make things batter, so why with Gryphline and Endfield it'll be any different?

I just can't see how people can stand all this shit for months and months. Gryphline clearly can't give two shits about making things right, 1.1 should've been their first step towards it and they blew it. There's literally nothing to do in the game when you're done with the story. You don't even need to spend a lot of time on dailies - it takes like 2-3 min at best (Char and Weapon lvl up, one gear craft, 5 stuff to collect, 1 crafting) and then that's it. I simply can't fathom why people wasting their time with deliveries or collecting shit from various stations on each map or mess around with Dijiang more than once a week. Why? It makes no sense, absolutely pointless and needless. I can't remember the last time I did all this which just goes to show how pointless it all is.
