9950X3D2 just give it to me already

It's not clear who it's for?

Gamers simply don't need 16 cores x 2 CCD's, 8 cores x 1 CCD like the 9800X3D is more than plenty

Productivity applications simply don't benefit from the 3D cache, suddenly having 2 CCD's with 3D isn't going to make Photoshop or whatever run better than 1 CCD with 3D

Seems like a waste of 3D CCD's to me that would be better served going into 9800X3D and 9850X3D

Perfectly clear.

This is a complete waste (unless they are competitive on pricing) since we already know Zen6 will have 12 Core CCD, which should be better than this dual 8-Core CCD for games, and both Zen6 and Nova Lake seem to offer 144 MB L3 cache, both of which could put this and the 9850X3D to shame.

That's what the rumours say as well. I don't want to take a half step if the new gen brings actual gains to higher than 8c CCD's with VCACHE.

Yeah, I am waiting for zen 6 and hopefully memory will be more affordable by then.

Its for the hybrid users like me who want the best of both worlds without he problems that come with only 1 3d Vcache on one or the two CCDs (relying on 3D V-Cache Performance Optimizer service/gamebar has its problems) . Thought I still wont buy it as the 9950x3d is enough for me for now.

It's going to do exactly nothing for everything you throw at it. There is no application that
1) benefits from 3D cache and
2) benefits from more than 8 cores and
3) would gain more from the extra 3D cache while taking the massive latency penalty of jumping CCDs
This is a totally pointless SKU but fools and their money are soon parted, and plenty of these idiots showed AMD the demand exists for such a useless product so I guess they're capitalizing on their lack of brain cells.

It's just fun to have the latest toy and sell it afterward
