I regularly listen to the Game MIDI archive as I work and Descent 2 pops up a lot.

Quite a sizable list of composers. The archive has a few tracks that were only in the shareware version.

It's a shame Descent games were never remastered, I'm still hoping that Nightdive or some other company will make them available for modern hardware. The only remotely similar thing I've played in recent years were the cyberspace minigames from the System Shock Remake.
