Yea there is an improvement , the Game moved from total trash to average Gaas FPS. Still far away from monsters like COD or Battlefield or new ones like Arc Raiders.

This Game wont save Bungie..they need somethig different ASAP.

Battlefield is dying on its ass. COD sales are down 60% this year.

Not sure anyone should be chasing the arena shooter at this point.

still don't see why this game should be free. I can pay an upfront cost and enjoy support and more content for nothing extra and probably will unless the content drops are really good in which case i'll throw the dev's a bone in appreciation.

The same is true for f2p gaas games. Extreme whale games like genshin impact drop like 500m every year to support the game wirhout an upfront cost.

Anyway they "should" do whatever they like, i just wont try b2p gaas games in the future at least das one.

What about Forza Horzion 6? Not all service games are the same nor should they all follow the same FTP model. Its not that simple.

I paid £25 for Arc Raiders and its worth double. It would be a worse experience if it was free to play no doubt.

Booting up most f2p games is like staring into the void. I liked The Finals but it was a very rare exception. I'll take $40 (slightly over half the cost of modern AAA garbage) and a standard cosmetic shop/battle pass model over horrific f2p chinkslop.

It would be a different story if Bungie also invested in proper single-player content, but without that, it's a hard no for me

Like i said it might depend but the average gaas games throws you no sp, a handful of maps and charge you upfront for it. I regretted it with ark raiders and wont do it again.

Clearly these types of games are not for you.

Personally Ill get hundreds of hours out of something like Arc for a very low cost. Best value proposition in gaming.

Ive not really given a shit since its announcement, the only thing that was interesting to me was the sound of like destiny raid puzzles and how the first team to complete them would unlock a whole new thing for the public and so on

Does it still have that ambition or is a box standard extraction now

Lots of ambition. Taking big swings that may or may not blow up in their faces.

Because that was the only interesting thing theyve said about the game before

Anyway, back on topic. Rook is such a cool idea. Dedicated loot goblin shell that adds an interesting dynamic to trio lobbies. Although this isn't going to be a "don't shoot I'm friendly" game like Arc, it'll still be interesting to see if trios might let a Rook go, since he's immediately recognizeable and with a weak free loadout, no threat to a trio. Or maybe giving a Rook player a gun and some gear (low level but better than he spawns with) and letting them tag along as a hired gun, but if that trio gets in a tight spot later on, the Rook player could have a chance to fuck them over. I've already heard some funny anecdotes from the most recent testing. I don't think any extraction shooters have done something like this before, and I'm already loving the potential of the concept.

Hopefully its not as convoluted as some of the later Destiny Raids though. Some light raid mechanics and more straight up combat would be my cup of tea.

Now this is what they should have aimed at for a showcase or reveal. It has a definitive look and FLAVOR. It looks 10x more interesting than before.

Idk if I'll get it, but it finally made into my radar.

They have just been showing the action bits, which makes sense. There is plenty of quiet moments as well.

It has a little APEX DNA in there, but not much. Never tried the Cycle.

Give it a go when the free weekend drops, I was very pleasantly surprised.
