I enjoyed UC4 story. Actually i enjoyed the game more than i thought.Must be because of the pirate theme, i love that shit.
I don't believe he is talking about the franchises but more specific games. TLOU2 was hailed by many many people here as the best game ever from every point of view, there were some guys talking about the change in direction and dissing the game. Now you have much more people shitting on the game because of the direction it took.

I only played this Uncharted, but i was marvelled by the hole pirate treasure hunting story. I understand people much prefer the 2nd one and don't think too highly of UC4.

Yeah, that's what i was trying to getting at. It seems to me, UC2 story stuck more with people and a majority prefers 2 to 4 by some margin. I never liked cinematic story games but for some reason, UC4 really stuck with me and i loved the game.

The game does mean more to parents, it's simply a fact. Also, let me know when you beat the game if you would have done things the way Joel did. I already know the answer as I know how much you love your kid, same as me with mine, but I'll enjoy hearing your confirmation when you get there

Yep. Years ago, I got permabanned for the crime of finding an Angry Joe TLoU2 review funny. ( I think he just reuploaded his old TLoU2 review but he increased the saturation or something. I don't remember.)U gotta look at it from logical pov- if u for example defend stupid move of publisher/devstudio, and ppl call that move out and call u out, giving arguments, no1 on here silences/bans u, so u are free to respond, we can see it when for example man_in_boxes can respond in some gaas topics vs 20 ppl at once, he isnt right but he can voice his opinion, present his pov and arguments for it.
Now on rainbow forum if u are against particular ideology being pushed in certain games or voice ur support for games that cater to male audience , mildly even, w/o cursning or personal insults of any kind, u are imediately perma banned, ur post is removed, u get insta-silenced, thats huge difference vs discussions here where all kinds of diverse opinions are allowed and even encouraged
Thats actual tollerance- u dont agree with something/some1 on particular topic, but u are still adult enough to have discussion about it, u tolerate its existence, yes u can post funny meme/gif about it but thats fine
Btw- last defense against ceonzorship(and believe me, i know, i was born and grew up in communist poland) is comedy, comedy allows us to laugh at tabu topics and voice our opinions in a funny way, once even comedy isnt allowed u know dictatorship/totalitarism is in full swing.

Now that I think about it I don't remember ever being banned all those years. Maybe once and it was temporary but I'm not sure. Even though I've had my share of rages they were mostly directed at companies rather than other members.I agree, but as much as I hate admitting it, every now and then a comment slips through and actually gets under my skin. Usually I just go have a smoke and come back chilled instead of crashing out and going full retard.
The funny part is, most of us don't care about politics in games. It's the ham-fisted modern day culture war politics that are so disgusting to most of us. Metal Gear, for example, has a ton of politics and political commentary but it's done in an intelligent and mature manner that modern day leftist developers couldn't replicate on their best days. It's the difference between being a game developer who happens to use political themes and being an agenda driven activist who happens to make games.
