I think this game really has all the check marks of a woke game which is why I decided to share it. But I am keeping your words in mind for the future
I just think this is another one of those games where the writing is kind of on the wall, you know? Apparently there's a real small market somewhere for this and these types of games. But I think the majority here don't care for them, and likely never will. So at least there's that, lol.

Miles Morales did great. People loved Blade. I heard next to no bitching about Ghost of Yōtei starring Atsu. GTA: San Andreas is still legendary. Folks loved Lee Everett in The Walking Dead, plenty of people rocked with Deathloop, and Apex has one of the most diverse casts in gaming. Gamers have supported plenty of non-white and non-male leads for years.
What people reject are poorly executed games. But instead of admitting the gameplay, writing, marketing, or design missed the mark, some devs hide behind "gamers hate DEI" like criticism magically disappears if they turn it into a culture war.
And FFS, stop using me and my people as human shields for bad products. If you're gonna push representation, then actually make the game good enough to sell itself.
None of this is to say there aren't racist dickheads out there, because obviously there are. But fuck their opinions anyway.

It's like how I'd never personally met, or read any news stories about Bill Cosby. However, I once saw a re-run of The Cosby Show back in the 90's and his character, Dr. Huxtable, was an upstanding man among his family and community. I now know with certainty decades later the actor must also be an upstanding person, based on my impression of him from a show. I wonder what he's up to these days.

I get their fatigue of having to go through this with every big release, but it's better than changing your personal standards just because you're tired of the wack-a-mole game we're playing with this crap.
