Yes yes crazy idea. But they already tried countless time WW2, Cold War, Modern Warfare, Futuristic War. Battlefield worked at WW1, so why not?
It only takes a matter of seconds to reload a bolt action rifle. The guns on BF1 were all wrong but fun. You could reload in seconds.
Gonna be hard to sell Beavis and Butthead skins if they set it in that era
True. The rest?It only takes a matter of seconds to reload a bolt action rifle.
True. The rest?
MP 18 far from this speed in real life.
Could be some form of Steampunk. The series needs something new.For sure, you're absolutely correct. Still though, I feel like it'd be tougher to suspend disbelief for the Napoleonic era, but maybe there's a way to do it right. I'd be interested if they did.
Big time agree on that, absolutely.Could be some form of Steampunk. The series needs something new.
You are correct about the size of regular maps, but Battle Royale is huge. I would love to see something similar to The Battle of Leipzig there, lol.I think the problem with doing it in COD is COD match sizes are tiny. It kinda works in WWII and forward because you can just imagine that you're a small squad in a much larger battle, but I don't think Napoleonic warfare was really like that. It was about coordinated actions with hundreds if not thousands of other soldiers, so without a massive rework of the COD engine to allow for a huge number of bots and players, it just wouldn't feel even slightly real imo
