Both me andWasn't able to snag a Steam Controller. It's sold out.
I'm ordering that Brook Wingman for the PS2 today.
Any word on the 8bitdo Ultimate 3E? no new news.
3E has May/June launch date so nothing precise yet.

I'm really enjoying Xeno Plus, and G7 Pro 8k uses the same sticks.Fuck, now the G7 pro 8k date changed to may 12th sigh. Im getting this instead of steam controller. Atleast i can use this on all launcher without messing with steam overlay and also switch 2 support
They fixed the DPAD in the 8K versionsI'm really enjoying Xeno Plus, and G7 Pro 8k uses the same sticks.
I bet you won't be disappointed, if you know that Dpad is a bit wobbly. Other than that I think with updated sticks it will punch above it's weight for sure.
It didn't sell out until like 30 something minutes but their payment processor kept spitting out errors. I managed to snag one. Hope it lives up to the hype. At the very least the touchpads should be a great help for playing X4. I might even try playing CK3 with it.Both me andDurin couldn't even get past the payment - did it sold out that instantly, lmao?

Should've just spammed the button I guess, because I tried to space it out thinking that would help. Both me andDurin couldn't even get past the payment - did it sold out that instantly, lmao?

I could see X4 and other Space Sims being way easier to control with the touchpads for interface, along with all the different buttons, and doing radial menus on the left pad.It didn't sell out until like 30 something minutes but their payment processor kept spitting out errors. Yeah, I already play X4 with a controller but I have to switch to KB/M for management stuff. By using the back buttons as toggles I can use one touchpad for more hot keys than I need and keep the other touchpad purely as a mouse.I could see X4 and other Space Sims being way easier to control with the touchpads for interface, along with all the different buttons, and doing radial menus on the left pad.
I'd imagine the haptic squeeze for gyro to look around the ship would be cool too. X4 is still on my backlog just because it's a dense game, but looked cool.Yeah, I already play X4 with a controller but I have to switch to KB/M for management stuff. Steam Hardware - Steam Controller: Reservations open May 8th - Steam News
How to reserve yours, and what we're doing to mitigate the challenges from earlier in the weekstore.steampowered.com

Valve are not happy with the scalping, it seems. Good. Sucks for people that genuinely want more than 1, but hopefully the mere existence of the reservations kills off the scalping market for this controller.Steam Controller reservations are open for those of us that didn't spam buttons as much, lmao.

MOJHON (BIGBIG WON) STORM Wireless Gaming Controller
Compatible with Windows, Switch (NS1/NS2), Android, and iOS Supports 2.4GHz USB, Bluetooth, and Wired Connections 2000Hz Polling Rate (Wired & 2.4G) for Ultra-Low Latency TMR Magnetic Sticks (No Drift, High Precision, Long Lifespan) High-Precision 6-Axis Motion Control (Native Switch Support)...gadgethyper.com
Storm is available on GadgetHyper. But I just reserved Steam Controller so I will sit this one out. Apparently it uses JS13 TMR sticks, which G7 Pro 8k, Xeno Plus and Steam Controller uses too. I already have Xeno Plus and will have SC, so honestly I don't know if I should order Storm in a near future, lmao.
Have you tried to check out the Steam Input options in the game page? Fairly certain you can do that from there.I cannot give a detailed impression of the Steam Controller since I'm not technical enough but I have to say that it feels rather cramped. Might take a while to get used to it but in terms of how it rests on my hands, it's comfortable enough however for me the handles are not angled enough.
EDIT: Also, I typed this post using the controller. Desktop functionality seems similar enough to the Deck when using it in desktop mode.
EDIT2: Getting the hang of it. I still think Dualsense is comfier but after some time with Crimson Desert I've adjusted to the point it no longer bothers me. What does bother me are the XBOX glyphs. Steam really should let you fool a game that you're using a Dualshock or Dualsense, I much prefer seeings PlayStation symbols than letters. I really do appreciate games that let you chose what prompts to display.
Nope, otherwise I'd have already done that for my Steam Deck.Have you tried to check out the Steam Input options in the game page? Fairly certain you can do that from there.

We will see, but I expect better materials than on G7 Pro + switchable ABXY.What's so special about the 3E from 8bitdo that makes it worth waiting for? Seems like the Gamesir I ended up with is basically the same thing.
IMO it's Impossible for the latter to happen when it's Xbox-licensed.We will see, but I expect better materials than on G7 Pro + switchable ABXY.
Maybe I got confusedIMO it's Impossible for the latter to happen when it's Xbox-licensed.
Someone managed to open-source a dualsense PC dongle that can retain most of the features wirelessly! Might try to get my hands on a Raspberry Pi Pico 2W and print a case for it.
I've been messing with the windows over the past week or so and I continually get hard pc crashes. At one point I got a message stating "A recent update was removed due to stability issues when booting into windows".![]()

Do let us now how it fairs there.Cheers for the linux distro post!
I believe the compiled windows firmware does OC the pico w to account for the audio requirements but I don't use controller audio so cannot speak to that quality.Do let us now how it fairs there.
I don't have DualSense anymore so I can't test stuff yet, I've been actually wondering myself if I should buy it and mod it with TMRs but dunno.
I like Linux a lot, to the point it's my main OS basically so I tend to tinker with a lot controllers in there too. It would be best to know what I'm getting myself into at least. For future reference.
Is it true that dongle can OC DualSense to 1000Hz polling rate?
Did you put TMR modules in Edge?I believe the compiled windows firmware does OC the pico w to account for the audio requirements but I don't use controller audio so cannot speak to that quality.
WIll test both the Edge and the regular dual sense and let ya know!
I have one of these that I tried for a bit in place of the left stick. It was fine....but the Edge isn't my favorite to be totally upfront and I don't really care about the haptic triggers.Did you put TMR modules in Edge?
I haven't owned anything from CRKD, but a friend's kid uses the Nitro Deck for the Switch and gave it a good review.

I'm reading through the specs rn, but this one has force adjustable sticks, which is fantastic tbh. That's sexy, ordering one.
This one seems different. No switchable ABXY but force adjustable TMRs. The question is, is it the same size as 3E.I'm reading through the specs rn, but this one has force adjustable sticks, which is fantastic tbh.
I like the colour. But im not jumping the gun till I see size comparisons between it and 3E.That's sexy, ordering one.
I don't usually like the lighter colors for gamepads, but this looks nice.BeardSpike Just saw this on 8Bitdo's insta story.. Preorders for the Ultimate 3E are starting in May 26th.
