I remember the GCN era had some pretty amazing games, but how did that "software" make it out of Japan back then?

Or were people just so undemanding back then?

I'm not playing through it because I like pain (at least not if it ain't giving me any trophies), but simply because it's the only way to receive a legit Jirachi in 2026 and I want to complete my living origin form dex in Pkmn Home.

I'm baffled by the fact that a company charged money for Pokemon Channel 20-something years ago.

You don't become the highest-grossing IP in the world by giving away what you can make people pay for.

I circumvented most console games. Played the first Pokemon Stadium on the N64 but then realised it's just better to stick to the handheld games. And as far as I know, Pokemon Channel is the only really really weird game you have to use if you want to complete an Origin Dex. As far as I know I also think that was it with the console-handheld compatibilities needed. From gen 4 onwards it should be handheld games only.

We had a lot of fun with the minigames in Pokemon Stadium back in the day :]. Never played this or Hey You Pikachu, though
