I watched it again and im satisfied a bit and it looks great. Its just missing some shadows and also dicapitation of limbs.

If you're a Wolverine fan, i think you're in no matter what… However, this game is not remotely impressive to me. Graphics are ps4 like and the gameplay looks boring and repetitive.

I'm confused, theres quite few orange/redish marks on Logan and looks like as if he is wearing...lipstick? Really weird.

In the end, the leaks are spot on. What a shame. Looks like theres no hope for me buying this game.

What a weird take when they are showing hype trailers. You want journalist gameplay that looks janky with someone who hasn't played the shit out of it to show it off?
surely there's some way of making enemies somewhat threatening without resorting to janky gameplay? there's nothing even mildly threatening about the enemies in both trailers, other than a couple that can be dealt with by either pressing r2 or tapping square...

Currently playing Bayonetta again, released back in 2009, almost 20 years ago, and the gameplay and fight design looks so better than this.

I also think people complaining about cringe dialog and expecting a plot need to go buy another copy of Logan and remind themselves that 99% of Marvel products are comic-level cringe, and that's what the audience wants.

Liked the gore, everething else felt on rails. This would look awesome if i didnd experienced the same set pieces back in Uncharted 2 and 4.

The enemies barely react, it's almost annoying how easy it is. And then there's Wolverine's regenerative power.

I thought it was cool that he got all covered in blood... and then immediately cleaned himself up. :messenger_neutral:

Out of all the characters, why Wolverine?

Is this not going to get repetitive? Just clawing?

Deadpool would have made more sense. Sword, Guns and combat.

Or iron man
Yeah, why make an game with one of the most popular characters EVER in Marvel, right? Some of you guys fell on the head when you were babies and your parents never told you.

Same goes for the Spiderman trailers but you can put it on the hardest difficulty.

This looked really cool. Pretty much exactly what I would want in a Wolverine game. Hope there's a bunch of content. From the looks of it, I'd totally buy a Steam port. But with the other Sony releases.... me getting new Sony hardware is getting less and less likely. This one looks great though.

Skifi28 Skifi28 I called it:

They're just going to claim that the devs changed it due to internet reception and then switch all future negative focus to Debra Wilson.

I should charge money for being a fortune teller.
Looks amazing. The made Jean less ugly too which is a big win.

I guess the leak Jean Grey is over...

However, Debra Wilson present and everywhere... is real…

Would prefer any other Jean Grey costume over this bs trench coat look.

All those outfits shows Jean breasts size lines, so I don't think they would be ok with that.
Also, its not like this Jean Grey retained any of her comics attractiveness. Her jaw and face are square and she doesn't look like got much of body or curves.

Just what we needed, a 3rd person over the shoulder action-adventure game with light RPG mechanics. Glad at least one of the Big 3 is pushing the envelope.
Please enlighten us on who is pushing the envelope. I know Nintendo is about to release a Star Fox remake, and Xbox just released another FH game, and is about to release a Halo remake, then a GOW reboot. I'm not seeing any envelopes being pushed.

Looks exactly how I expected. Seems fun, but since Control and Silent Hill Townfall are also releasing on september I don't know if im getting this day one.

Same goes for the Spiderman trailers but you can put it on the hardest difficulty.

I can beat most fights in Spiderman 2 (on the highest difficulty that you unlock by beating the game) with one hand... literally... I tried... it's not even particularly hard to do due to how shallow the combat is, and by extension, how shallow the enemy behaviour is.

Graphically it looks great. Gameplay seems way to context sensitive / scripted environment.

Interesting to see that Control game female character made an appearance.

That's the point, nobody is. Gaming has become stale and safe. Everything is min-maxed for the highest chance of profit and lowest risk of failure.

Looks alright I guess. Very similar in gameplay style to the new God of War. Lots of blood too, a bit unnecessary. Could easily tone it down 30% and people will still get the message.

I only asked because you said one of the big 3 was pushing the envelope. It just sounds to me like you move the goal posts for Sony.

Sesame Street Idk GIF

Shiet, put that on your dating resume, you killer.

Insomniac makes games for kids(to you), man. You should expect more of the same. Keep scrollin

this wasn't a flex, it was me making clear that Spiderman 2 is a brain-dead game that requires no skill nor any strategizing or any kind of brain power to beat on the highest, unlockable, difficulty.

and their (recent) games aren't made for kids, their games are made for people who are hyper casual. as in, people who buy 2 games a year maybe, and who can't remember the controls anymore the next day.

back when their games were made for kids, you actually had to have some skill still lol.

If there is a single stealth sequence in this game, which can only be solved by stealth, it is a complete and utter failure.

In fact, I would want nothing less than the game to present an ultra-high security building, go over how to infiltrate it unseen in detail for a few minutes, than be able to walk straight through the front doors (after ripping them open with your claws) and just murder the living fuck out of everyone inside and get the objective and back out in no time.

Looks no better than Uncharted 4 from 10 years ago.

Man, Sony first party studios are disappointing me so much lately (this whole gen). They seem stuck in 2018 or something.

Maybe its due to the long development time, but reusing PS4 tech when their games sell so much seems so lazy .

And that's regarding visuals only. In the gameplay department it looks like it plays exactly like an M rated Spider-Man would.

They wont get their shit together cause this game will still sell a lot, but as a Sony customer since the early PS1 days, its sad to see the current situation

The only hard parts in Spider-Man 2 were the little bike rides

Absolutely terrible controls lol

Damn that is one ugly Jean Grey. I don't get the designs in general. They're limited only by their imagination and it looks like a live-action movie with real people wearing costumes. Why not make it look like really cool comic art?

You realize the more it looks good the more money they gotta spend. Sony PS4 level games are still expensive to make.

lol.

it was funny when I found out (through a friend) that the drone chase sequences almost play themselves (you automatically stay in the air stream without any inputs) unless you play on the 2 highest modes.

I think I would have stabbed myself if I played on normal, just to feel something 🤣

action set looks great, I'm a little bit disappointed with the environments and presentation but I feel Spiderman looked better but that's just me.

Im sure Sony has more money than at least 90% of the devs who made the best looking games on the market today

Money is not the problem

i liked Wolverine Origins on the PS3, i'm in.

needs more diversity though. in the ones that wolverine slaughters. there was like only 2 female mercenaries?

this is the Sony target demographic. Realistic cinematic movie slop for the mass audience.

youll never in 100 years get a Jean Grey that looks like this from a WESTERN studio.

Game would probably look better if they just lifted all the Rivals artworks and assets and used those instead.

As soon as any showcase ends, the comments here are instantly full of people saying everything shown was shit. It makes you wonder whether half the posters on here even enjoy gaming at all. It almost feels like they get cathartic relief from declaring how unimpressed they are with everything.
I like how anything short of fellating Sony is "being miserable" to you people, even when posters are detailing exactly why they weren't impressed.
