I like how Yamazaki is in the Seigaku uniform for half the episode along with Echizen's hat. Prince of Tennis would be so much better if it was done by this guy.
I honestly can't tell when you guys are seriously trolling as opposed to merely sort-of trolling. But I'm thinking of picking Ro-Kyu-Bu up. I was going to drop CLAMP-B anyways out of sheer boredom, so why not add some lolis playing basketball?!

This series is basically two completely disjoint shows in one. For the first twelve minutes we have a show with this clumsy high school student with stupid hair who exasperates everyone she knows by how airheaded she is but is good friends with them all. For the next eight minutes or so we have a girl who gets beat up by demons for a while then turns her eyes red and proceeds to brutally kill said demons.

She's only amusing if she's not serious though else she comes off as a sad loser who can't snare a loser kid, that's like the saddest type of criminal.

Hahaha. Well, the first couple of episodes she didn't bother me that much, but after a while, especially when she
starts being a total bitch
, I absolutely detested her. Easily the worst girl in the show.
Heh... I don't know if I'd thought about it that way, but maybe it's true... I'm not sure though, was Charles actually almost a real character, or did she just stand out in a show where everyone else is so pathetic?
Still though, there's some truth at least to that, probably. And I do understand what you mean about a character that's almost real-seeming but isn't can be almost more jarring than clearly absurd ones, yeah.
It's a mixture of both really in Charles's case. I mean, from the start there was no reason to assume she'd be handled better going of all the other characters' previous stories but there I was assuming that they would do something with her because it almost felt like they were going to. Silly me. If she'd been a little more cookie cutter I wouldn't have gone that far and assumed she was going to be what she ended up but she wasn't great from the start either or anything. Like his sister's not exactly great either and yet people liker her for a handful of traits and, well, seemingly not wanting Ichika's special sauce.

Certainly true, but the female characters are worse.
I think I've said this before but I do not fucking buy this. I'm not saying women aren't portrayed terribly, they are, but I think there's several points of reference you have to use here when saying who's portrayed worse than who. Because you have actual people, boys and girls, men and women and you have the societal prescribed ideal man or woman, or young men or woman in this case and then you have the anime portrayal of these groups, none of them are the same. None.
It is my opinion that for me to say women are portrayed worse than men in anime that I would also have to then hold women to their higher societal standard as opposed to just judging them like people, which is amusing because then the way I'd see it by me saying women are portrayed worse than men in anime then in actuality I would probably be judging women worse in reality. So let me try and explain this theory.
What does a Man need to do in fiction? Not much really. Essentially all the man has got to do to fit the perceived "man" card is have a penis, use it as often or as little as he wants, come through when necessary and that's about it, everything inbetween is gravy because we can do whatever we want so long as in the end we come out on top. Now what do women need to do in fiction? Well they need to be fairly pure, they need to be monogamous, like their male stereotype they can also break down emotionally but they can do it more often, so they have one thing going for them, but they can't ever really doubt the male they gotta be loyal, I could go on and on with silly little shit but lets just stop this crap as they're just in school still in anime usually and we don't have to also drag in all the adulthood crap.
Anyways, the only reason you could say women are portrayed worse is if you hold them to their higher societal standing while in reality what we should expect from men and women should be more equal. So looking at it from this perspective they're all fucking terrible and not so much because of what they do or want in their respective TV shows but because of how poorly they're written. A girl that really wants some dude's cock in an anime isn't necessarily a shitty character because she wants one dude's cock, from a monogamous societies' perspective they're already in the clear where as a guy who fluctuates between the woman of the week is also not necessarily a terrible character for that but really is pretty sad from that same perspective. Ah but society treats them different see, for a guy you can want them all, one or none but the second you treat women and men the same and view it just from a monogamous relationship standpoint the guy's actually the lamer character. Remove any social perception about who can have sex and with who and how often and all of a sudden none of that shit even matters and they're all shit just because they're whole inner workings can be written on the back of a napkin.
Trust me, there are no winners in anime characterizations between the two sexes.
But what really amuses me is how bad some of these characters are. You don't have to be a deep and well thought out character to just be awesome. Spoor from Crest/Banner of the Stars is fucking awesome and you're shown literally nothing but her awesome moments that are about all the same, she has essentially zero characterization and yet is still infinitely more interesting than all of the IS cast.
Blood-C 3 - Really good episode this week almost makes up for episode 2 being exactly the same as last week, there was actual plot progression like saya
actually touching the dog this time around,
and the fight at the end showed there MIGHT be more to saya character then what we initially perceive her as, can't wait for next week!
Sometimes, you string words together into a sentence which makes logical sense but which cannot possibly make metaphysical, metaphorical, or metabolic sense. I'm just saying.
I think I'll watch it anyways. Then maybe this will make sense to me:
I'm pretty sure not knowing how to draw older characters is not a flaw relegated solely to SHAFT. It's a pretty strong general trend reinforced by most series featuring young casts with few important older characters ever appearing.
I don't think that's such a good idea, if the Madoka thread was anything to go by, if this show got it's own thread it would be anything goes, which is a really scary thought.
I don't think it's a rabbit hole anyone would want to jump into.

Yeah, he's definitely a lolicon and not fooling anyone about it. When you're openly trying to find ways to spend more time with a grade school student...
Really though, if they're in sixth grade and he's a first year in high school, that's only a three year or so age gap, which makes it a bit less creepy. But it's still really creepy overall so it doesn't really balance out much.
Twin Angel 03 - In this episode, we meet main character #3, a Rie Kugimiya tsundere loli. Yes, she's in this show too. Here, she's a 10 or 11 year old genius who just tested into high school with the other two Twin Angels, and she's related to the rich girl so she knows about Twin Angel too and apparently also has powers. She starts out hating main character girl, but of course it's all a tsundere front and actually she likes main character girl a lot, as we see by the end of the episode.
Also, villain girl fails again. Shocking! And even more surprising, once again Misty Night saves the day. They're playing his Tuxedo Mask-clone character really, really straight... well, apart from adding a bit more comedy. The scene where villain guy pulls a bar of soap out of his speedo (not bathing naked in the hot spring, huh?) and throws it at Misty Knight, who
catches it with his foot and then starts rubbing the soap onto his legs with said foot
, was the funniest thing in the episode. But overall, this show is quite bad. Don't watch it, probably... though the Kugimiya tsundere loli thing probably will get more people watching, won't it. Don't fall for it!
NO. 6 3
I don't think I commented on this one yet...
I don't like the homosexual undertones of the series.
World is interesting but I don't think it's interesting enough to actually make me want to watch the show.
I hate the main guy for not fucking that one chick.
I want that chick to come back and keep asking the main guy to fuck her even though it's futile.
So, bored and decided to watch it. The first episode, for the most part, follows the pilot with some minor edits here and there. Perhaps one-upping Taiwanese Hayate, the real life anime effects are amped up to the point where many of the anime gags are reproduced:

Other than that, I have no idea if it's terrible or not because I've become acclimatized to Asian drama acting. It doesn't help that the guy playing Tamaki hams it up in order to try to match the anime counterpart.

Well from the images it doesnt seem as bad as I thought it was and the twins seem pretty cool and hilarious still. Though doubt I will watch it since its odd to see live action stuff subbed.

The humor is this show is fantastic. From the change up in the transformation scene to the Penguin antics there isn't any point in the show where I don't have a smile on my face.
Mayo Chiki 3 - Cute episode. I'm starting to like the sadist more and more with each episode, which makes me wonder about myself a bit... Anyway, I'd actually be fine if they had left it just between Kanade and Konoe but we'll eventually get more girls into this and make a harem proper, won't we.
Mawaru Penguindrum 3 - Bitch be crazy. Like, somebody should put her down just in case kind of crazy. And I love it.
Curious, though ... is she writing the diary or is the diary pre-written? The latter seems to be the case since she thinks of herself as the executor of it's will but ... some of it just seems too much like something she's dreaming up and writing down.
Ro-Kyo-Bu! 4 - Another cute episode of cute lolis playing basketball.
I half expected Tomoka to take the last shot triple-teamed and still make it, but I guess they remembered their theme of the whole team being important rather than just God's Gift to Basketball (or "Shiny Gift," lol) Tomoka.
Also, if I didn't know any better I'd totally say the MC wants to smang Tomoka. But the "I just love seeing her form" will turn out to be totally legit and it's all a big misunderstanding.
Well, you are correct, but Where Kai explained the whole conspiracy and the people behind it (Matsuribayashi-hen) It didn't actually went deeper into motive,
The Parallel world
and the character further background and thier devolpment into thier current problems. Rei explained it in more complete version of the events and the motives.
Ironically, Rei was the extra 3 chapter devoloped as a fan disk for the games. Didn't know they were Kanon. But I am glad they went with it.
I totally neglected to mention what an excellent finale (well, the real finale, not the stuff that happens afterwards) this series has. God damn, easily the best of them all so far, but that's not surprising considering that S was the best season overall. I'll be sad to see it go, even if they final episode was something of a whimper.
[Sailor Moon SuperS 128 - 130]
So it's going to be like this, is it. Chibi-Usa focus, character degradation, enemy degradation, no sigh of the outers.
This show certainly isn't devoid of failures. Time travel done right is an extremely rare event, I only hope that the story holds together until the end.

Unless there's something I'm missing, I think that ship has sailed already, unfortunately...
Still enjoying the show though (and slowly progressing through the game).
