NFL 2011 Week 11 |OT| Blame Rors/Mig/Buckethead For This

To clarify, I don't in the least hate Tim Tebow, I just think he is a shitty quarterback. I loved watching that game last night. It was absolutely fascinating. The whole time it felt like John Fox was Sidney, Tim Tebow was Billy and Rex Ryan was Raymond (that's the big dude who robs the liquor store, right?)

My name ain't Chump, it's Tim Tebow!

What I miss when hearing all the criticism is the mention that he really hasn't that many targets to throw to. The best WR is fucking Eric Decker for christ sake and now Tebow basically is the second best RB on the team.

You say one more god damned word about Eric Decker and I'll kill you, wear your skin like a mink coat, and post a picture of me Tebowing over your corpse to your facebook page.

Eric Decker is a hero!

I do like what they do with Royal he could become what Harvin was when he played at Florida. But give him a reliable TE a RB like Bush who can also catch and one decent deep threat and I'm sure he won't have those awful passing stats anymore. People seem to forget that the Broncos were absolutely awful even when Lloyd was still there. Now their best WR is gone and people wondering why Tebow has problems passing the ball? Sure he has akward mechanics (especially his release is awful) but he was an atleast decent passer at UF when he had talent on the offensive side (I mean yeah most of his passing yards were when Harvin broke free after a short pass, but still).
Yeah he's on a shitty offense, but he still sucks.

Saffold is out for the year. People bitch about injuries, but it's hard not to feel a little sympathy for Spags. Lots of turnover on the roster

Both OTs out for year (Smith getting hurt is a positive)
Both CBs out for the year
Both backup CBs out for the year
Nickel CB out for the year, plus 2 other CBs on IR
Opening day WRs are either cut or IR
Backup slot WR on IR
Lloyd only there for 3 games
Backup TE on IR
SJax missed 3 games
Bradford missed 2 (again a positive)
Clayton on PUP and still not healthy

I've never seen a team with this many injuries since I've followed football. A lot of the guys who are hurt are bums, but still, it's shocking in its magnitude

Tim Tebow is the best thing to happen to the NFL in years. I love this stuff

The only problem is he is overshadowing a legitimately impressive season from Miller, which is annoying.

I'd much rather see an affable, fun hipster douche be the new face of the NFL than surly, cheap, likely rapist Suh.

I've seen so many people bagging on Eric Decker when he's actually been having a solid year so far.

I say un-retire #7 and give it to EDeck. Bring some pride back to Denver.

Suh will be out if the league in a couple years due to violating his future drug related parole.

Von Miller has turned it up the past few weeks. I was bagging on him a bit, but man he shut me up real quick. I hate his glasses though.

I can't believe how you have turned on Bradford. The kid is getting the Alex Smith treatment, he will be a solid QB when his organization isn't in complete disarray.

Ha! I don't have no facebook page!

To clarify:

I'm not saying Eric Decker is a bad WR but he's no Megatron(for example). I mean how many times does Stafford throw into double or even triple coverage and he comes up with the catch?

Cardinals CB Michael Adams had an interesting take on how 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh has influenced QB Alex Smith. “Their coach is doing a better job of limiting what he has to do, kind of treating him like you would a rookie, where he can make easy throws, check-downs,” he said

hmmm...

Cardinals DC R. Horton on 49ers "shift" in short ydg: "cute...and the league has said it's a legal cute play. So kudos to them for having cute plays in."

hmmm....

Neither is 99% of other receivers.

The defensive coordinator is really talking trash? Last I checked that defense is an absolute mess. Mike Adams... name sounds familiar... isn't he the 5'8 db that gets abused every week?

They are 15-58 since 2006. They strive for disarray. It's a goal. You'll get to see when they play SF. You will be in awe of how barren the offense is. There won't be a starter you would trade.

They are so far from being God-awful that Bradford will be full-fledged Marc Bulgered by then.

i wish i had the desire to fire up the way back machine in this off-season when you were saying the rams were going to runaway with the division but now i just feel bad for you and rams fans. reminds me of our 2010 season when we came into it thinking we were going to take the division with easy and then we just shit the bed

I kind of hoped Brandon Lloyd would give Bradford confidence because he is a legitimate receiver with some insane hands. Maybe Spags just isn't cut out for the job, where do you go from there? Any coaches on your radar?

I also said that Harbaugh was the single biggest offseason upgrade in the division. I just didn't expect to see Alex perform like this. Like I said last week, he's more than a game manager now. He's won games for them, with the help of a great D and run game

But since search is coming back, I'll admit to being excited about McD and Bradford working together. I also thought Kololb would be good, and TJack terrible

They have got to hire a good GM. I'll just say Reggie McKenzie since he's the only name I know. Spags' biggest failures are his roster construction and staff selection. He clearly had final say in personnel decisions, and they've been awful. If Spags somehow shows improvement, I'll entertain the idea. But he has to replace most of his staff. Too many players have regressed.

As far as a coach, whoever is the hottest offensive coordinator? Hard to really know. I'd also love Gary Patterson from TCU, but doubt he'd leave after all he's built there. .

tjack has argaubly been the 2nd best qb in the division. i said in the off-season that alex was clearly the best qb in the division once matt hasselbeck left :D

but of course i say that every year.... 1/7 ain't bad!

Good luck and God speed gentleman. With any luck I will see you on the other side, in plenty of time to make fun of the shitty ass Yuccaneers.

Ried. He is great at developing qbs.

Reid is not going to get fired. I just do not seeing happening, even if the season is lost he is going to use Castillo as a scapegoat. Then in the off season he is going to hire Spans after he gets fired in St. Louis.

Rams will then hire Castillo and begin tanking for one of Peyton Manning's children

The glasses are an important part of his nice guy vibe. He has to keep them!

With the end slowly closing in on us, I'm going to continue to read A Clockwork Orange.

Hopefully we all can meet again soon. Preferably on Sunday.

GAF downtime same weekend as Texans bye week....coincidence?

GAF needs extra power next week to deal with the mass amount of "Leinart is our new god" posts!

Packers' Nelson says being white helps him thrive at receiver

"It's easy for someone to say, 'Oh yeah, he's like one of those other white receivers,' " Nelson's Packers teammate, Greg Jennings, told the Green Bay Press Gazette. "He's not. I'm sorry, he's not.

Honestly, I think it is (a factor)," Nelson said.

"It's not because he didn't put the time in. It's not because he's the white guy," Jennings said. "A lot of it has to do with the fact that guys look at him and say, 'OK, yeah, he's the white guy, he can't be that good.'

The stickied threads aren't anchored to their spot anymore either, they float about their other sticky brethren.

I actually think it's better that way. No more accidental wanderings into NHL/MLB GAF because this thread changed its place after days or weeks.

But there was already wandering into one of those threads because I expected the NFL thread to be at the bottom. :'(
