Fave Five?

5. Kane return promo Kofi Johnson (I haven't forgotten Nascar man!)
4. The Great White
3. Championship Material Punk
2. Unmasked Cody Rhodes
1. The Barrett Barrage

Actually I like a lot of the current roster, making a fave five was a tall order, Ziggler puts on entertaining matches so i'm hoping they do something with his character soon, he comes off as a pretty bog standard heel on the microphone yet I'm sure he can do better. Bryan needs more of an angle with the MITB case so i'm hoping this Henry stuff is leading to something.

approve of numbers 2 & 3 on the first list Ubertag

Who all got WWE 12 on PS3? we should set up a royal rumble or something.

im about to take y'all down jabroni avenue and check y'all into smackdown hotel and lay the smackdown on your candy asses with michael cole.

BOOTS TO ASSES.

I DON'T FUCKING CARE WHAT IS TRENDING ON TWITTER. I'M WATCHING FUCKING RAW.

Depressingly accurate.

1. Dolph Ziggler - Hardest worker bar none, he's on the Shawn Michaels level of selling

2. CM Punk - Even neutered his character is more enjoyable than pretty much everyone else and he is still the best wrestler on the roster

3. Cody Rhodes - Either he or Ziggs need to have a nice long run with their belts to an eventual Ultimate Challenge style champ vs champ match

4. Tyson Kidd - Suffers badly from lack of character direction, but one of the best untapped talents on the roster. Would benefit hugely from a Jim Cornette or Paul Heyman type manager

5. (Mah boy) D Brine - The crowd is really starting to click with him. I wouldn't be totally shocked to see him be the David take down Mark Henry's Goliath. They really need to step up the commentary for his matches though, calling him a submission expert doesn't mean much in an era where John fucking Cena is also called a submission expert with his weak STF. Also, his kicks were as infamous as his submissions at one point, would be nice to see this get acknowledged.

No, because the story was Cena getting booed out of the fucking building, which is basically ignored by Cena all the time for his stupid "all that matters is the people have a voice IN THE WWE AND THESE FANS CAN ROOT FOR ANYONE THEY WANT AND THATS WHY THIS COMPANY IS GREAT BLARGHHH" cheap pop back patting bullshit once again.

I thought they were starting to go there a little more and planting the seeds for Cena to become more jealous or something but they didn't go through with it, which would have actually been interesting.

Instead, it looks like we're just going to get more of the same old shit - Cena gets booed and completely outclassed by The rock, and Cena tries to keep the tired face act up by trying to get cheap pops by giving The Rock praise for being back, giving the WWE Universe praise for chanting fruity pebbles, giving praise to the match being what Wrestlemania is all about, and more of his tired bullshit over and over again the next several months. Why? So some snot nosed 8 year old wants for their parents to buy him the new color Cena shirt. Great work.

if there were ever a time for cena to go back to thuganomics, now is that time.

Edit:

Generation Me asked for - and received - their release, I believe. As for the Motor City Machine Guns, Sabin or Shelley is injured. Or both. Someone else will hopefully clear that up.

Thanks!

Yeah it seems MGM is still signed because they mentioned them on the last impact.

Btw..ist there any ways to watch ROH or NJW here in Europe via stream or something?

Really interested in the non WWE stuff but I have no idea where to look.

And Colt Cabanas podcast is truly awesome but I guess you guys already knew that. As boring and bland as the WWE is at the moment I never get tired of the business itself. So many great stories and characters. And I'm a bit proud I don't even know what trending means. Or maybe that just means I'm really old.

He had Michael Hayes be his manager... for a day.

Tyson Kidd is going nowhere in WWE. They already killed him by him having a new manager every week and all of them turning on him after he lost to other jobber4life types.

My Fab 5

Rhodes
Del Rio- Could make it if and I mean IF he gets rid of his announcer
Barret-Finds a way to win
Sheamus
Cena-Yes Cena. WWE needs to let go of the leash and let him perform

R-Truth probably failed for Spice. They are failing people for something that is legal. Also, now with him as a face this probably means he is going back to his horrible whats up stuff when he comes back:(

I picked up WWE '12 on PS3 and All Stars on 3DS today, but I'm in the middle of Skyward Sword so I'm not rushing to see how bad I wasted my money on WWE '12 just yet.

That is an awful drawing of Miz in that comic...

1. Cody Rhodes
2. Dolph Ziggler
3. Zack Ryder
4. Wade Barrett
5. Daniel Bryan

Sin Cara was my #5, but I'm not wasting a Fav Five spot on someone who won't be around for 9 months... :(

You do know they only fail people who aren't on prescribed meds which is better than TNA and meth Hardy. They are stupid for even doing it.

R-Truth was at the party with Evan Bourne where they both smoked the stuff. Bourne got suspended, while Truth only got a $2,500 fine for marijuana because they wanted to save him for the main event at Survivor Series.

Mah Fave Five;

1. Dolph Ziggler - charismatic as hell, great on the mic and has quickly become one of the best in-ring performers in all of the WWE. If he didn't have the insta-heat generated by Vicky, I could easily see the fans getting behind Dolph.
2. CM Punk - regardless of opinions on how he's been used since his return, Punk is still one of the best in-ring and probably the best on the mic in the WWE. And I'm a huge Punk mark, so sue me.
3. Mark Henry - although his momentum has been sucked away somewhat by this feud with Big Slow, they've done a great job of building Mark as a heel and a lot of that is down to his promo work and intensity in-ring and on the mic.
4. Cody Rhodes - I think Cody is just waiting for that one big feud to push him over the edge. He's got a ton of talent and has improved a ton this past year or so.
5. D. Brine - like mah boy CM Punk, I'm a huge D. Brine mark and am pleased to see them using him for something more worthwhile in recent weeks. Hope they can give him a smart build into WrestleMania.

Honourable mentions; Wade Barrett and Tyson Kidd, wherever he is.

ROH you can watch on their website http://rohwrestling.com/, they put the previous weekend's show up every Thursday (although you can usually find it quicker for download elsewhere on the net).

Also, I assume you mean NJPW - you'll find most new shows from Japan (and classic shows and matches too) posted on youtube by a bunch of different uploaders - here's a link to some of the one's I follow (the top two are my own);

http://www.youtube.com/user/SenorLARIATO
http://www.youtube.com/user/MrLARIATO
http://www.youtube.com/user/ProWrestlingARK
http://www.youtube.com/user/PuroClassics
http://www.youtube.com/user/DoubleMiz
http://www.youtube.com/user/BurningDiscipline

And here's a link to the latest NJPW show on youtube;

NJPW "POWER STRUGGLE", 12.11.2011
Osaka Prefectural Gymnasium
6,000 Fans - Super No Vacancy

Bunch of great matches on this one - check out Nagata/Ishii, Richards & Romero/Tiger Mask & KUSHIDA, Devitt/TAKA & Kojima/Tenzan.

I've lost interest in keeping up with ROH's TV show at the moment.

There's good wrestling on the show, but you need compelling characters and feuds to complement that as well. I appreciate what ROH is trying to do in creating a more sports-oriented atmosphere, but the roster is really weak in terms of guys who have that natural charisma to hook people in on a regular basis.

Hopefully, things will improve in the near future, but right now, their TV show (not speaking about their iPPVs) is just not that interesting to me. They really need a guy like Eddie Kingston on the roster who has that natural charisma both in the ring and on the mic.

So, I'm thinking of creating a WrassleGAF arena with WWE '12. I would at least upload some highlights to youtube with it. Not sure what else I could do though.

Yeah, the focus is definitely on the in-ring action and a more sport-orientated presentation. But that's not to say that ROH doesn't have the guys with the necessary charisma to transcend just great wrestling, it's just that the spotlight hasn't necessarily been on those characters as of yet. They've mostly been focussing on Davey Richards, Eddie Edwards and the World's Greatest Tag Team, but guys like the Briscoes, The All-Night Express and Kevin Steen are there waiting in the wings. It couldn't hurt to add some depth and diversity to the roster though.

This week's episode is probably the best I've seen out of them yet - they're building well towards the iPPV (Davey/Eddie II is going to be nuts) and are ramping up the Kevin Steen storyline stuff, plus the main event of Davey Richards vs his student Kyle O'Reilly was just an awesome, hard-hitting match-up. It's obvious that with the storyline surrounding Richards/Edwards and with Dan Severn coming in as Eddie's trainer that they're definitely trying to appeal to the MMA crowd.

I've found I don't watch an episode of ROH if I'm not interested in the wrestling, and some weeks I have only watched the inside ROH.

By that standard you really aren't watching any wrestling company, are you?

Let's be honest, people use this reasoning for not really following ROH all the time, but how many wrestlers in the WWE really have natural charisma? 2? 3? And we're lucky to get 1 "compelling feud" a year. I'd much rather follow ROH which is 1 hour per week of a company with an overall focus on what they want to get across to the viewer without pandering to children, using nostalgia, abandoning all logic, and having no skill in building to ANYTHING. At this point, the absolute only things the WWE has going for them as a wrestling company are exposure, and production values.

i watched Smackdown 5 times in 2 days and cringed at the sharpshooter every time

what's funny is this was a tag team match and AJ's bff just stood there on the apron and didn't break up the submission or help AJ out the ring. I smell a heel turn.
