The badge manipulates the reiatsu of the owner.

Maybe this explains why Ichigo suddenly became a lot less powerful after returning from SS.

The badge screwed him up over the entire Arrancar Saga.

They only let him reach his full growth when it became apparent Aizen was unstoppable.

So yeah, Substitute shinigami really have something about them for SS to put a freaking control rod on their powers.

This does not make sense at all. Ichigo is an extremely powerful individual who is not under SS´s jurisdiction. They would have gotten rid of him, since they can´t control him. They knew that he would be a huge asset against Aizen that´s why they have not done anything. But Yamamoto wanted to control him by preventing him from rescuing Orihime. If SS does not have control over powerful individual, they would feel threatened and do to Ichigo like they did to the quincies. Yeah, i know that the circumstance is different, but Ichigo would be killed.
They would've have killed Ichigo if they couldn't use him against Aizen? No. The only instance would be if he went wild with his powers which would make him an enemy deserving of retaliation. A monitoring device is a minor nuance. And they can't control him? Do you honestly think that two captains or maybe one couldn't take him down? Even if Kugo writes it in, it is a dumb narrative direction. Ichigo would go back to being a student and Bleach would end...which could have happened already.

In regard to the monitoring, Ichigo is given all this access and mechanisms for his ability. So now he would be shocked they have some insurance? How is that a revelation? I would just go to Ukitake (since Ichigo is privileged to communicate with anyone he sees fit) and address the issue. Have they controlled him yet to warrant animosity? Would Ichigo ever revolt? Would they really kill him if he quit cause you know, his father's situation? If anybody should be hunted down it is Urahara and they aren't hunting him 24/7 even though they could.

This is a minor quip that could be addressed with a simple conversation with SS. They will not kill him and that is just silly. I don't buy any of it. And you are also supporting the words of Ginjou who is currently the enemy against a known compatriot in Ukitake... There is always 2-3 more sides of these stories in Bleach. And Ukitake will not be painted a devil.

I retain my words of this being very stupid. The narrative choice is fine yet Kugo chooses these choices paired with terrible character reactions using pea brain thought processes. It's tiring when other manga actually delve into thought processes of human beings instead of trope machine MC's.
This is the meanest thing I have ever read about Ichigo as a protagonist.
Truly a malice attack.

They needed Ichigo because he was the only one who was not under KS. They have not kill him because they needed him. Yamamoto already tried to impose his will on Ichigo by preventing him from going to HM. He lost his powers after the defeated Aizen so they had no problem with him. Urahara has cooperated with SS on many issues. That´s why they have not kill him and his gang. SS has never had the high moral ground. They have Mayuri as a captain. Mayuri has done experiments on humans one of them was Ishida´s father. He also blew up some of his underlings in SS arc to kill Orihime. So SS has no qualm to kill anyone who they see as a threat. Ishida´s thought process will be great according to the spoiler.
If Ginjou was a sub soul reaper. Wouldn't that mean he has a zanpakuto and all the trappings?
Ginjou is confirmed to be a sub shinigami.

Hahaha, I can't wait until this Bleach chapter comes out. The rage will be outstanding. I will wait for the full chapter until I determine whether this is going to be game changing, meh, or just flat out stupid.

Does this bring us any closer to Ichigos family and why his Father was banished or left SS?
That is a storyline I would cleared up as well :/

It explains Ichigo's inconsistency in the last arc; particularly what Ulquiorra said about the incredible contrast between his peaks and lows... But it's kind of weird that Ichigo wouldn't be able to notice that.

Nisekoi

I'm liking this. The gangs are still hilarious.
I need to start reading this. Has it been well received thus far?

Even if the premise isn't as interesting as Double Arts' was, I want the author to do well; I like his style.

I don't even get on what grounds Ichigo would be shocked by this; Soul Society already has engaged in a number of apparently sinister acts, such as:

* promoting a genocidal maniac to Captain and letting him wander around openly abusing his daughter and nobody even says anything, not even Ichigo.
* Letting another captain maintain his position by literally murdering every one else who opposed him.
* Sentencing Rukia to death for no apparent reason at all.
* Issuing a Kill-on-Sight order on the Visored for having a power that doesn't seem to have any side effects on them at all beyond being stronger than normal.
* Letting virtually 99% of the population Soul Society to live in eternal poverty.

That was Aizen pretending to be SS, actually

Not enough people posted impressions really to tell you anything. I dig it. It's pretty standard for shonen romcoms but secretly it has an interesting thing going on with the love interests.

Are you referring to Kenpachi???

I think there's just three of us reading it so far. It's literally just started so it's hard to say where it will go or what it will do but it's rather typical shounen romcom thus far. It seems to want to take the idea of childhood promises but not sure what it will do with it. There's also the whole lock and key thing that will either just be a metaphor kind of plot device or something more tangible. Time will tell on that.

...so, basically, a lot of "We'll see?"

Someone else read Hitsugime no Chaika.

I need companions on my quest to follow this generic fantasy action romharemcom.

It's about wizards or something?

These panels seem to imply incest, too.
but it's just a several page joke that she thinks he's a total lazy piece of shit that should get a fucken job

Incest seems like a better hook than magic loli romance, tbh.

But the incest is just a joke (a very strange joke for your first chapter, I might add) and the magic loli romance is 90% of it. Everyone looks a bit like Magical Index too.

I'm saying that I'd have preferred it to be incestuous instead of featuring a loli magical girlfriend.

I don't quite see the similarities to Index's designs, though. They look more like... I dunno, just generic designs with nitro plus eyes. I thought it looked more akin to something like Mirai Nikki.

I get the brutality of SS actions. But that doesn't mean they devolve into having no sense. They aren't going to kill threats until they are threats. And SS is structured and powerful enough to down Ichigo in case he ever becomes one. But that means he has to do it to himself. That is a key point here. Theory is one thing but reality is another.

I don't buy it. Remember, Ginjou is the one playing the speaker here and Bleach always has multiple tales to tell from all sides. It's one of its narrative themes. And if SS admits to this idea wholly, then that is a Kudo derp. And the monitoring thing is so not a big deal. That is the real tragedy here. It's just another example of ridiculous character reactions based on flimsy pretenses.

We wrote a good amount about it here. I was personally very positive about the first few chapters.

I'll check it out.
You don't like incest? That's an odd trait for a manga fan.
How can you ignore an entire genre?

The sister is more interesting currently anyway. Which isn't saying much, actually.

Depending on how the magic stuff gets fleshed out, it could be interesting in that regard. I'm not feeling the loli yet but since it's one chapter and all that happened was "OH NOS MY COFFIN" and her shooting something, it feels a bit premature to decide on that.

The script is out for Naruto

From the way Tobi talks about how he has no real name and cares nothing for such things, would seem to indicate his likely identity to being the Juubi.

Uh....no. They weren't scared when Ichigo about Ichigo becoming in his Dangai form again. That form could literally solo the entire Bleachverse. If they aren't scared of that, they won't EVER view him as a threat. He's an ally through and through. This is the same organization who's top general ORDERED his subordinates to restore his powers.

I don't know what you are talking about TBH. Are you sure you are reading the post correctly?

The Saint Comes at Midnight vol 2
Started from volume 2 because I didn't feel like finding where I put the first one in the pile of stuff, which means I'll have to read volume 1 later.
It's a fanservice-y (although lightly, I'd say) horror story that has some pretty silly moments along with some pretty gruesome parts.
Basically a guy, Rei Iori, is an assassin... of people already dead. He kills the evil spirits that possess people and make them commit all sorts of crimes, while trying to track down a powerful spirit that made his girlfriend commit suicide.
The fanservice mostly comes from the police woman that gets entangled with him 'cause the spirit Rei is hunting seems to have targeted her. She, Aya Mikoyaki, fell in love with Rei in the first volume after he helped her and she spent some time around him. Most of the chapters in volume 2 start with Aya doing some pervy stuff to Rei, but it always turns out to be one of her fantasy, as Rei keeps refusing to sleep with her, much to her dismay.
The end of the volume was nice, with the group hunting the spirit thinking they have finally killed it, only to show in the last 2 pages that it didn't really die, as it seemed to have possessed a baby.

Awaiting Spring

Fuck I'm disappointed. I thought this will come as part of the entire Ctrl+T artbook and not separate. All what I got was a 19 pages manga when I was supposed to be reading a glorious 180 pages artbook.

Some dude is offering the book on ebay. Maybe I should test my luck and see if it's not a scam.

Thats not true. At least one character questioned it. Remember when Ukitate...... ohh

Stood around saying, "man, that's kind of crappy don't you think? ....lunch, anyone?"

I don't consider characters who just said, "that sucks" to be really questioning anything. They just kind of grumbled but did nothing really.

A Girl by the Sea 1-3

Uhh that was different. More rooted to reality than other Asano works and this time it's high school kids so no more depressed college dropout kids feeling that the world is ending tomorrow. There is too much sex, but unlike other shitty manga this one seems to be part of the plot.

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees.

This manga is so good, it is like crystalized angst.

::takes a hit::

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh...

I love you man

I tend to avoid manga like this by choice(not saying they're bad) however are you for real man?

Koume Sato and Kosuke Isobe are two teenagers living in a sleepy seaside town. After getting used and dumped by her crush, the emotionally damaged Koume decides to start a sexual relationship with Kosuke, without any emotions involved. However, they both soon discover that sex with no strings attached do lead to unexpected complications, not just for themselves but also the people surrounding them.

Yes he was serious.
