Spazzed out but I'm back again. This was almost like a diss track to all of his haters with so much love for his "Astronauts" and all of his fans on Twitter....like this is the song that he content leaving on. He's already transcending a genre he isn't even a part of yet. As always, it was compelling, clever, well-rehearsed and bold.

He was good. I'll easily say that but no idea if he will be safe after last week. We got a whole week to brew on him. One night/performance may not be enough to fix if.
Astro is just ridiculously good. His attitude last week aside, his talent easily puts him in the top tier of all the contestants. I hate that one mistake like that will determine his future in the show but I'm confident that after this is all said and done, someone will definitely pick him up (LA Reid I'm sure) no matter what happens. Dude is too dynamic and talented to fade away at least now.
Astro is the only one who has done an original every week. Straight talent
Astro/Chris do them because they incorporate rap, and unless it's say, a Linkin Park song, using someone else's lyrics is a massive faux pas in hip-hop.
Putting your own words into someone else's beat...especially in rap...is not talent.

OK apparently she can't pull off emotionally powerful. Still one of her better performances and she didn't depend on that flourish that she always does.
It's easy? Especially with manufactured non-drama.

Aside from the minor vocal hiccups, it was great.....and very poignant, considering the introduction and who she was dedicating her song to (and why). It was perfect. Her voice lacks the power to pull it off as well as the original, but her voice has a uniqueness where it was done differently, but well nonetheless.

Except he wasn't. For him to say this was a song a 40 year old would sing shows how clueless he is about the industry.
He hasn't given her a single useful piece of criticism all season. Everything he's complained about has nothing to do with her vocal ability or potential as a pop singer. And if she did happen to go down the Rachel Crow-esque route of youthful bubbliness, he'd just say that she isn't being true to herself. Nothing she does will satisfy him.
I didn't even know who sang the song (but I was quite familiar with it), but I hate it when people criticize someone for picking a particular song and saying that it's "too old" or "too young" for them. That is very insulting. People feel all sorts of ways at all sorts of ages. Stop pigeonholing them.
