It was cool when it just allowed some advantages, when it turned in to you need sharingan or rinnegan or you're fucked it got ridiculous.

Please don't make me re-read any Air Gear. It was just so bad near the end it was damaging. But things made sense up until they stopped making the story about territories. Then you had all that
clock tower shit, the girls singing, super duper technicians, near magical skates, and all this crazy elemental training stuff.

What didn't make sense about the clock tower, the technicians, the training etc? All that stuff seemed to make sense to me, and it also fits perfectly in the Air Gear world.

Actually it's called "I've made you guys millions of fucking dollars you can't do shit to me. SWAG."

Infuckingdeed

didn't the volume right before HxH's return sold like over 500k easily for that week?

Just you wait. Lee will make his triumphant return, kick some arse and show that hard work does indeed pay off!

Right....right?

:/

Nah the MC doesn't need hard work anymore so Lee is fucked...

XD It always comes back to that.

"DEM EYEBALZ!!1" <cue fist shaking>

I remember the days when it was theorized that the Byakugan could be better than the Sharingan.

Should they? The others aren't completely parallel either.

That's a strange detail to take notice of.

Well I was going to say no one elses follow either but his especially stood out since the others, the lines could at least be motion lines (they're in the direction they're moving). Bee's are just lazily drawn in

Has Big One trolled the Naruto chapter yet?

"Naruto: C

Everything about this chapter sucks. This is what happened in the chapter. It was okay, but I hate Kishimoto because I have a vague series of complaints about everything."

joke post? :p

look above you man.

I like that thing he does where he sounds suspiciously like he's going to say it was a good chapter, but then realizes he hates Kishimoto for no apparent reason and then labels the chapter with a "C".

Of course it's not. Angry Grimace doesn't even know how to read the posts he responds to
Pretty much everyone knows you're a joke character like DTL at this point after your insane Oda is among the best writers in the world rant.

Nobody's buying that old chestnut where you argue that people aren't reading your posts to "respond properly" after you got utterly humilated and then run off for a week and hope everyone forgot you said something inane.

We should talk about people stealing DNA instead , do people think Sasuke going to get some DNA to make him better so he can get Rinnegan and fully control it .

Side note every week people seem to have bring up Oda , Kubo and Kishi to make a point.
Which just get us to the same old same old thing , yeah it used happen but not so often .

Naruto

I love orochimaru as a villain, but naruto or sasuke would wreck his shit at this point.

I think its best to leave him be since hes already been treated as a joke since Part 2 started :p

Togashi: SWAG

actually that situation is very ripe since he implanted Itachi's eyes (an injection while being sedated, after the operation was complete, etc)

What? Naruto has be F and D level quality in my book for the last few chapters. I think I gave it a C last week, but that's only cause it was decent at best.

A rant that doesn't even exist. If you want to pin me down on that for some reason, sure.

No. No, it wasn't.
It was stated by Kakashi that the Sharingan is thought to have come from the Byakugan. Why would that even be mentioned if there's no basis in reality for it?

sure why not, everyone else has senju DNA why not give some to the sauce too.

Togashi: SWAG
from the baddest villain to uchiha fodder.

It was stated by Kakashi that the Sharingan is thought to have come from the Byakugan. Why would that even be mentioned if there's no basis in reality for it?

Yeah, you said nothing like that.

All you ever do is argue the same point over and over - you realize the only difference between your argument with Beam two days ago was that you said, "my point is better because One Piece is better than Bleach." He argued that Bleach was way deeper than people give it credit for, which was largely the same argument you made about One Piece like 5 days prior. But no, your point is better because you like One Piece better, so you spent post after post just repeating yourself.

Add in the fact that you threaten to tell on people who don't like you, and you probably wonder why you get such a hostile reaction. There's literally no purpose in arguing a point with you because you will take no points and give no quarter on anything. You are always right because you just ignore whatever is said and repeat yourself.

Another example: "Naruto's art sucks, there's too much posing and scribbles all over place." Even though Oda's new MO is constantly putting so stupid shit on the page that you can't even tell what's happening, but no, that's genius because Oda did it.

What didn't make sense about the clock tower, the technicians, the training etc? All that stuff seemed to make sense to me, and it also fits perfectly in the Air Gear world.
OK, I see where you are going with this. Something making sense within a "manga world" is quite different then a narrative that makes sense based on the source material. Anybody can create a manga world that makes sense since it is fiction. "Oh man, did he just headbutt that guy and steal all his memories. Yea, he gained that power from his father who is an ancient kung-fu mage." There, I just took something completely idiotic and made it make sense in a manga world.

Air Gear went for over a hundred chapters in one direction, A-T battles. It was entertaining and had some nice sub-plots like the tragedy of the dude's accident. Even back-stories like Buccha and Akito were entertaining. You always had a looming suspicion that the girls around Ikki were up to some more serious business. But for a long time it just wasn't known. Then we got to that point to bring up that darkness. And you know what? It was just a ball of shit from that point on. We had a nice "manga world" at that point which was then overhauled to a new one. Nothing in the new world makes sense in the old one. Any normal character upon entering the new narrative would be like "can you believe this shit?"

It is the pitfall of many manga. I would call it the "reveal" turning point in many of them that store up this looming backdrop. Some of them do it well and some like Air Gear don't. In hindsight you can probably defend any of my criticisms with it making sense in the world but I see two worlds in Air Gear up to chapter 185ish. And more importantly, one of those worlds was entertaining and the other one was painfully reaching every chapter.

It was stated by Kakashi that the Sharingan is thought to have come from the Byakugan. Why would that even be mentioned if there's no basis in reality for it?
He said that it was rumored that the Uchiha clan's origins lie with the Hyuuga. That doesn't mean the Byakugan > Sharingan.

Only aspect of the Doujutsu that's ever been said to be superior to that of the Sharingan is it's perceptive capabilities, not as a whole.

Yeah, you said nothing like that. Maybe you should call the mods again and see if they'll ban everyone who disagrees with you.

Well that fact is that I didn't. I dunno what to say. It's your fault if you've ever interpreted the debate as that. I admit I cannot find the video about Neil Gaiman, so I lose, straight up. There isn't any backing for my argument that keeping track of your series is a writing talent. Me saying that Oda is talented because of this, did not mean I said Oda was better than or equal George R.R. Martin. The fact of that matter is however is that writing isn't a sole entity of talent and is actually more expandable than that. Some writers are simply more talented in others at certain things, and this fact will never change as long as literature exists as a medium. By no means is being able to acutely reference something that is otherwise insignificant to the main plot is a common thing you see writers do, and you simply won't find any solid examples that are frequent enough in the said work outside a few writers. I'm sorry if you're too short-sighted to realize this, but I'm going to leave the argument like this cause no matter what I say or prove you're simply going to respond with a dumb, offensive, and uneducated response trying to go against me on the premise that I have an opposing opinion.

Naruto

I don't know why I'm getting excited, nothing's going to happen next chapter. I'm sure someone, or thing, will stop the battle and everyone leaves unscathed.
I think it's still a bit too early for Tobi to be taken down, and the odds are against Naruto and Killer B. Itachi's plan to deal with Edo Tensei will probably be the deal breaker.

Actually, your main point was that writers can't remember their own universes while writing books and that Oda is amazing for being able to do so, and then it was pointed out this isn't really true, there aren't any examples of this and your theory no basis in any evidence at all.

You went off on a tangent where you cited a bunch of irrelevant stuff about how Neil Gaiman couldn't remember the plot of Sandman 10 years after he wrote it, which is completely, patently and utterly irrelevant to your point. You just made up that theory whole cloth and then got angry when it was suggested that you don't know what you're talking about - well, frankly, when you just make an assertion and have nothing to back it up, it's a pretty logical conclusion you're just making it up.

Oh, but surprise surprise, every time I bring up exactly why this makes no sense, you magically don't want to talk about it anymore and the counter argument is dumb and uneducated and people aren't reading what you write (which makes no sense, if people weren't reading what you write, there wouldn't be a bunch of direct point, quoted responses to what you're saying) or no apparent reason.

This Naruto chapter did suck. It was a bunch of action where it was impossible to tell what was going on, it reminded me of the Marineford war arc in One Piece, and Tobi acting like an emo. And in the end nothing happened since we're back where we were at the beginning of the chapter.

To be fair does it even have that advantage anymore over the sharingan we know now?

The only thing i could see left is the near 360 degree sight. :/

It's such an irrelevant point, I don't see how it matters edit: whether it's related to sharingan or not. Maybe it's all the people who sucked at using Sharingan so now they have the crappy version lol?

360 degree sight is a useless power at this stage given you just sense where everyone is with magic.

That, it's penetrating vision, the ability to see miles away, and the body's Tenketsu.

As an Eye Technique that's actually used to, um... See stuff, it still reigns supreme. Even above the Rinnegan.

I think it's still a bit too early for Tobi to be taken down, and the odds are against Naruto and Killer B. Itachi's plan to deal with Edo Tensei will probably be the deal breaker.

I don't expect Tobi to be taken down, yet. I was hoping more of a badass fight, with maybe a few of the other Tailed Hosts being taken down and Tobi's mask being removed.

That wasn't my main point and never was, my main point is that the level of consistency amongst works that are down right to the smallest detail (such as the frog line in One Piece) is very rare. Of course if you cite the Song of Ice and Fire, you have a solid argument. But that series isn't representative of most long running series out there, nor is it representative of what is commonly written in literature. That series is high tier quality for a reason, and almost anything that is truly high tier keeps it standard to have that level of consistency (which isn't always true, see: Alien movies). The only solid examples I can think of that is similar to this is pretty much anything by Alan Moore due to the amount of very tiny references that he inserts into a variety of his works on a consistent basis, the prime example being League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.

Why the fuck would I make up anything of that sort? Have you really thought about this for a second? I don't even care what you think, but what he said is what he said. You're the only one insistent on dragging this out by demanding proof for it. Why the fuck would I lie about Neil Gaiman? What motive would I have for potentially lowering him down as a great writer? Like you said it doesn't even matter, but the fact that you're so insistent on not believing me is straight up dumb. No problem demanding proof but to assume I'm lying just because I can't find a video I saw on youtube a year or so ago, is just inane expectations.

Oh, but surprise surprise, every time I bring up exactly why this makes no sense, you magically don't want to talk and the counter argument is it's dumb and uneducated for no apparent reason.
I want to talk about it, but everytime I do you constantly berate me with insults, so why would I want to talk with you about this subject? Every week you try pulling some BS with me for no reason other than I have an opinion on something. Haven't you figured that maybe the reason why you're even making a counterargument to the most pointless things, is just to spite me? What the fuck is your problem, exactly? What did I do to you? You simply have no respect for other people's opinions at all and your constant opposition is just getting tired

There are no insults. Disagreeing with you is not an insult. It's in your head.

Disagreeing with me is not an insult, but saying:

"Naruto: C

Out of nowhere is.

As is lying about things I said.

Name one thing I "lied" about and I will post the original post where you said it.

I don't know why you have such thin skin when people argue with you; you only read four series and all you balls to the wall hate two of them and complain literally every week about them.

Byakugan can see up to many many kilometres ahead, if an Uchiha and a Hyuuga go to eye doctor, Byakugan beat Sharingan :P

and don't forget looking through objects. the thing I'd do if I can see through clothes...

Well, the chapter finally answered just what kind of abilities Tobi's Neo Pain would have. Got to at least hand it to Kishi for not having any one of them resort to using a Rinnegan ability thus far. But of course, the fact that they retain both their ninjutsu skills from when they were alive AND their Bijuu powers somehow, well, puts them in the insane tier level of power.

My guess is that Naruto and Bee will be bailed out by Itachi when he succeeds in ending the Edo Tensei (thus neutralizing all the edo jins since they're not real dead bodies being reanimated like the original Pain). It'll probably be a good cop out for Kishi too trying to keep up with all the powers he's given these things so he may not have to have them try and use Sharingan or Rinnegan abilities on top of what he's already got them using and will leave those for Tobi by himself to show off.

Why do you care so much? If he's a joke character, then you're in on the joke because you're the only one that really provokes him and gets into pages long arguments about nothing. You used to be just as negative as him back in the day. That's where this came from:

Because he's wrong and mean spirited about it.

360 degree sight is a useless power at this stage given you just sense where everyone is with magic.

It was more of asking if the advantage that sai talks about still exists and 360 degree being one of those that could help keep the status quo.

That, it's penetrating vision, the ability to see miles away, and the body's Tenketsu.

As an Eye Technique that's actually used to, um... See stuff, it still reigns supreme. Even above the Rinnegan.

Forgot about the penetrating vision, so add 2 then.

Though there is more to perception than just seeing i will agree that it seems to have that part on lock.

X-ray vision? sign me the hell up. :)

add that invisible Devil Fruit from OP and dammmmmmnnnn.
