Good luck trying to find a cat you can train to put up with abuse from a toddler that is ignorant of it's own strength or the affects it's actions can have on the cat - plus, it's a great learning experience for the kid. As I, and every person who spent their toddler years with a cat in the house, can attest, at some points kids are going to fuck with the cat (probably, like me, by pulling it's tail) and learn a valuable lesson on the points of sharpened claws; don't fuck with the cat.

The cat is innocent. The kid is clearly a spoiled brat. Look at that room of his, the wood, the sheets, etc. Unless they were filming a 10 minute cat vs baby fight scene, I doubt they would have kept rolling after the original cat mauling that caused the kid to cry like that. No, that little brat is crying because he doesn't want to go to bed. Mid-cry, he decides to target sprinkles, to illustrate his rage to the parents.

Not even reacting to the permanent damage the kid more than likely caused. Sprinkles gently tries to put him into the bed. If that little pompous scumbag wasn't shifting his weight for a second, or third uppercut, he would have just settled into the bed.

Actually, they should also have stopped the cat.
It's prolly used to roughing around a bit with the adults as can be seen by the light biting. For for a toddler that's a bit too much, those teeth are sharp.

That said, cats are great because they show limits to your kids. If they adhere to them, a cat can become really really loyal to a child. Dog loyal. Really interesting lil critters ;-)
