Wtf 119,99 for 16 and 32 for 69,99 ?

Those Memory Card prices are the same as those in the survey, which were the Japanese prices. :(

Obviously, I think the listing was reversed for the 32, and 16 cards.

Lol at those ridiculous memory prices. Screw you, Sony.

I don't see how anyone can justify those.

got a samsung galaxy s2 and i have doubt about buying a vita. memory card prices are insane and i need an extra 3g sim card...good luck sony! to be nice, vita web browser with side bar yay!

Don't other companies usually come out with cheaper memory cards soon after? Sony's are the ones that are always expensive. I wouldn't be worried.

Honestly, 64GB for $120 isn't that bad. But maybe I've just been poorly weathered to these things...

Only Vita uses these Memory Cards, you think Sony's going to license out that or have a monopoly on them?

AC Adapter...? That's just replacement, right?

Where does it say 64GB is $120?

Prob not. I can't compete with the OTs people put out these days ;)

By the way, there is a new 16 minute video of some lads playing around with the OS here, from the London event:

http://gamezilla.komputerswiat.pl/publicystyka/2011/11/pokazujemy-polskie-menu-w-ps-vita

VERY annoyingly they seem to be stubbornly avoiding trying out multitasking while a game is open/suspended. They close the game entirely before trying out other things.

FWIW, though, at the start Top Darts seems to be suspended, with a few other apps either open or in a suspended state themselves. But I would still like to actually see someone hopping from game to app etc. to get an idea of speed and how many or which apps can actually be opened without exiting the game.

Anyway, they look around a few different things. An empty PSN store, a near app that seems to have locked up, settings, an empty music player, the content manager (although they obviously couldn't connect to anything), the remote play app (again, couldn't connect to anything), and perhaps more interestingly, the web browser. They check out their own site and youtube. Don't actually try to play a youtube video. The initial page load speed IMO is not great. I hope that's a function of their net connection there rather than that pre-page-load pause you get on some devices :\

Also at the start you can see how hitting the power button while in a game suspends it, Turning it back on brings you to the lock-screen. Going back into the game is very fast.

They also look at the trophies app, which seems to also have activity feed for the player.

I hope you can customize those bubble things on the UI so that you can take ones out that you don't use. So if you want you can only have 2-3 bubbles and it won't take up that much room.

The way it's designed now looks fuuuugly, too many colors pictures faces etc. some customization would be nice.

Not even a reach around on those memory prices. I bought a Class 10 32GB memory card a few weeks ago for $30.

Strongly reconsidering my pre-order. :|

Definitely getting 4 gig memory card, just for game saves.

I will update when the 32 or 64 gig memory card goes for reasonable prices.

Ugh,

I buy the system, I buy the game. But still cant play because i cant save crap. Its like buying an incomplete system.

These are the things you love apple. You give someone an ipad. Thats it. No freaking crap attachments.

Still day 1 though.

I really hope someone releases an adapter that allows you to use a memory stick or SD card with the Vita.

Also, I don't get this... One of the reasons they used Memory Stick for the PSP was that you could just take out a memory card from a Sony camera and view your pictures on the amazing screen (at the time in 2005). I guess they just don't care anymore.

If Sony had the kind of mainstream appeal/die hard fans Apple has it would probably put all the stuff into 1 package as well (and bump the price up). But Sony has to be cautious with this thing and make it as cheap as possible for the device itself.

Have really high prices for cards early and get all the suckers.

I'll wait a couple months and buy when they are lower.

Still not sure whether to get wifi or 3G. Just in case

Prices for memory cards are ridiculous. I would like to buy some games off the store and download my psp games but there's no way I'll be able to with the 4gb one the value pack I'm getting comes with, and I'm definitely not buying a 32gb for over a hundred dollars.

Edit: Just looked back at the PS Blog post about the first edition bundles and saw that it was the 3G model ONLY in the bundle? That's so stupid. Especially considering Canada gets the bundle I'm sure most of us would want to get, for $299, instead of our $349 bundle. I had my mind set about what I was going to get, because I didn't realize it was the 3G model for the bundle.

sure you can, you just only be able to hold maybe 1 Vita games and 1 psp games. I'd say 8GB or 16GB is ideal. can probably hold 2 or 3 Vita games along with a few PSP games as well.

Canadian retailers have dropped the 3G model preorders, and the lack of it in the early adopter bundle has me convinced we aren't getting them at all.

I'll stick to the 16GB card after all. I think it'll be enough, as I don't need to carry ALL my games with me at all times.

I end up owning a 4GB, 8GB, and 16GB for my PSP. thank god I can use those mem card for my digital camera or just as data storage. I think I'll go straight for 32 GB this time for Vita. Vita games should be bigger than PSP games anyway.

Just noticed on Gamestop's web site that Ruin and LBP have a March 31st release date (that usually means before the end of that quarter). Resistance is marked as launch game, but it's highly likely it was delayed.

Well Gamestop here in Sweden is always more expensive than other bigger electronic stores so that you trade in your games for a cheaper price.

What a disappointment, if true. Both the 3DS and now Vita were unveiled to overwhelming response only to shit the bed as they near launch.
