- "Trophy Syncing" pop-up showed up when the trophy app was launched. Gah, I hate this screen and was hope for a seamless syncing process. It just HAS to be faster and better implemented than the PS3.
Lol at those ridiculous memory prices. Screw you, Sony.
I don't see how anyone can justify those.
Don't other companies usually come out with cheaper memory cards soon after? Sony's are the ones that are always expensive. I wouldn't be worried.
Honestly, 64GB for $120 isn't that bad. But maybe I've just been poorly weathered to these things...
Only Vita uses these Memory Cards, you think Sony's going to license out that or have a monopoly on them?
what? there isn't a 64gb card.Honestly, 64GB for $120 isn't that bad. But maybe I've just been poorly weathered to these things...
Prob not. I can't compete with the OTs people put out these days
By the way, there is a new 16 minute video of some lads playing around with the OS here, from the London event:

VERY annoyingly they seem to be stubbornly avoiding trying out multitasking while a game is open/suspended. They close the game entirely before trying out other things.
FWIW, though, at the start Top Darts seems to be suspended, with a few other apps either open or in a suspended state themselves. But I would still like to actually see someone hopping from game to app etc. to get an idea of speed and how many or which apps can actually be opened without exiting the game.
Anyway, they look around a few different things. An empty PSN store, a near app that seems to have locked up, settings, an empty music player, the content manager (although they obviously couldn't connect to anything), the remote play app (again, couldn't connect to anything), and perhaps more interestingly, the web browser. They check out their own site and youtube. Don't actually try to play a youtube video. The initial page load speed IMO is not great. I hope that's a function of their net connection there rather than that pre-page-load pause you get on some devices :\
Also at the start you can see how hitting the power button while in a game suspends it, Turning it back on brings you to the lock-screen. Going back into the game is very fast.
They also look at the trophies app, which seems to also have activity feed for the player.
Guys, I'm going crazy. I swear I saw 64GB...
I'm probably going to buy a 32GB card for $120 and cry so much.
Ugh,
I buy the system, I buy the game. But still cant play because i cant save crap. Its like buying an incomplete system.
These are the things you love apple. You give someone an ipad. Thats it. No freaking crap attachments.
Still day 1 though.
Have really high prices for cards early and get all the suckers.
I'll wait a couple months and buy when they are lower.
Still not sure whether to get wifi or 3G. Just in case

Prices for memory cards are ridiculous. I would like to buy some games off the store and download my psp games but there's no way I'll be able to with the 4gb one the value pack I'm getting comes with, and I'm definitely not buying a 32gb for over a hundred dollars.
Yeah, Vita comes with an AC Adapter.AC Adapter...? That's just replacement, right?
Edit: Just looked back at the PS Blog post about the first edition bundles and saw that it was the 3G model ONLY in the bundle? That's so stupid. Especially considering Canada gets the bundle I'm sure most of us would want to get, for $299, instead of our $349 bundle. I had my mind set about what I was going to get, because I didn't realize it was the 3G model for the bundle.
Canadian retailers have dropped the 3G model preorders, and the lack of it in the early adopter bundle has me convinced we aren't getting them at all.
I'll stick to the 16GB card after all. I think it'll be enough, as I don't need to carry ALL my games with me at all times.
With the amount of RAM the machine has, it shouldn't be a problem.i hope it's standardized... in some ps3 games calling the home button takes longer to load in some games than others.
With those prices, I'll just get a 4GB and wait, those prices can't stay up there forever.32gb for 120 is this real life? Hope those are just place holder prices.
Of course it is. The same real life where Vita cost $250 and not $400. Which would be the case if not for the accessories pricing.32gb for 120 is this real life? Hope those are just place holder prices.
