I actually don't think that's it, because someone like Kollar would probably know better than to call a game whose existence is now one of the worst-kept secrets in the industry "surprising." But perhaps I'm just not cynical enough.

Most Game Informer readers probably don't pay attention to GAF and its ilk, though, But their Twitter followers are probably decidedly more likely to do so, so who knows.
