I like what I'm seeing and I would never guess that Dylan would be the new playable character. Playing outside now also seems a good change, even though I was a fan of office spaces from the first game.

I am not confident in remedy ability to make a good close combat system.
But I prefer close combat over gun so is definitely more in line with my taste though.
In addition, the environment looks more interesting to me that the first control.

I am guessing game style as well. They wanted to make a different type of game so they chose the brother instead and also want the story to lead to a 3rd game that might have both.

Been replaying CONTROL again and P6 said hiss showed him a dream where the President of America welcomed hiss which will eventually takes over his body. Even the general populace knew about the new hiss discovery who later on even accepted this new phenomena. Which in turn would set the stage to hiss being released somehow to the entire continent making Control Resonant. Very exciting.

Edit - Also seems Polaris and the Pyramid has different objective in mind which is why Jesse went "rogue".

No that's fine, it's surprising that they pivoted from their own original projection.

This is the investor slide I was talking about, I made the topic about it on GAF when it first came out.

They have Max Payne projected for release in H1 2026 and Control 2 for H1 2027.

weird that nothing is mentioned about the unannounced project (ie control resonant) would be a surprise shortening of planned dev cycle to have this be control 2 renamed
