Why does time traveling in OoT change links age but not in Skyward Sword. I get that traveling through time in SS is to a degree that Link wouldnt even be alive, but why do it in the first place IE Ocarina? Seems inconsistent.

I have many questions. Just finished the game today:
1. Can somebody....anybody......explain Lanayru for me? Why is it a desert? Who was the ancient civilization that dwelt there and what happened to them? And why did they have robots (in a Zelda game?)? Why is Lanayru Province not a desert in Twilight Princess? Or am I mistaken? The tree reference someone pointed out earlier apparently makes it seem like it becomes very much grassy again.
2. The Gorons...where are they living? What about the Zora? Why have they only been in OoT and TP, it seems (the good ones...dont' even get me started on the confusion between the good and evil Zoras)? And the Kokiri? Any hints I missed or something? Am I really supposed to believe the Kikwi become the Kokiri which become the Koroks (WW)?
3. Despite the references to Din, Nayru, and Farore, I still didn't see an explanation there. I thought they'd say that Hylia split herself into three or something to explain them. But it didn't happen. So who came first? The three goddesses or Hylia? And are "the old gods" before all of them?
4. Why do they keep calling them humans? When do they become Hylians? This contradicts things like how there are "normal" humans (ones without pointed ears) as WELL as Hylians in other Zelda games...you know...both living simultaneously. Wouldn't Hylia have spared the Hylians instead of all humans, which would be impossible considering Hyrule is probably just a small section of the Earth. It's like they forgot they gave these chosen people the name of Hylian instead of human...
5. So apparently the Temple of Time moves from Lanayru Province (SS) to Faron Province (TP) at some point? Unless the Temple of Hylia becomes the new Temple of Time, which seems to be the case, right? Should I just pretend the old Temple of Time goes away forever, then?
6. I was really hoping to see more and learn more about the Sheikah. Are they not considered "humans" since they were kept on the surface world? Or is Impa the only Sheikah, like, ever born at a time? (joke)
7. So the three dragons...they're the real Faron, Lanayru, and Eldin, right? So what are those Light Spirits or whatever in TP that obviously don't look like dragons? What about Ordona? I'm guessing those three represent the the three goddesses since they're named after them? Ordona, I'm going to hypothesize, is just a guardian of Hyrule's less-important provinces that aren't mentioned (left to the imagination) in TP/SS (I mean, c'mon, Hyrule would be SMALL if it were only those 3-4 places)
Despite all this, I was happy with it lol. The origin story of so much of Zelda-lore was very nice, even if I feel it only addressed about 30% of anything. Le sigh.
I might have more questions later, too![]()
Link goes to sleep in OoT and wakes up older. Him going back in time is just him returning to his younger self.
Could have fooled me. When he pulls the master sword out, they sure make it look like he's time traveling, in the Temple of Ttime no less.

Here's a question I asked in the OT but maybe it's better here...
Does the area around the sealed grove become the Temple of Time in OOT? I imagine so because both the Master Sword and Triforce are there. So what is the Temple of Time in the desert? Why in TP is the Sacred Grove and the Temple in the same spot not really near Hyrule? Is that the same sacred grove in LTTP?
Just trying to track down where the Master sword moves to and from since its forging in SS is confusing me.. :/
And guess who built a store over the seal of Demise...

Ok, maybe that's too much.
Seeing Ghirahim is basically the evil version of Fi really makes me sad about how underdeveloped Fi really is :\ I guess Demise is a lot more imaginative than Hylia.
Well there is a slight resemblance. Really though I kind of wish all those guys showed up in the game. I wonder if they were all weapons? Maybe Hylia broke through them all but Ghirahim.
So we saw the root of Ganondorf but not the start, I was think that Groose would step in or something :/ Still feel like they stuff that happen before this game so it not the full start of it all but it is the start of link getting mix up in it all
What I got from the game was, Demise and Goddess were opposing primal forces of sort and the humans of that era some cave men. So this is pretty much the beginning.

Like I say it the start of Link getting mix into this, we don't know why she did this and see as how they know how to play with time we could see a link going back that far? or maybe play as the Goddess..... I wish
I think next big Zelda will be Demise reborn into Ganondorf

You are the one designing all the temples lying around Hyrule.I don't think going farther back would be very interesting. Clash of the gods and apocalypse... they work as a backstory, but what the hell could you play there :b
Can I ask, with the game breaking bug, will it activate if I do the Lanayru Flame mission second?
I did the Water Dragon first, so I should be safe right?
Yep, also I bet if you could look behind the doors in the past before you fight Demise, that there'd be 2 ZeldasSo if you look into the chamber where Zelda sleeps once the Goddess Statue is back to its original place Zelda is NOT there.
The goddess did have a chosen hero back in her day though. Still thought I'm sure this is the first too. This game is literally the legend of zelda. We find out that Zelda is the human reincarnation of Hylia and we find out the reason why there's a chosen hero. We also finally find out why the hero, zelda, and whatever evil is around at the time always get brought together.
What triggers it is that while doing the Lanayru desert portion, you talk to the goron near the area. If you really want to do lanayru second, just don't talk to the Goron after beating the dragon's part.
Just do the eldin area second if you want to be really safe. But seriously, this bug is extremely extremely extremely hard to get. You would have to do very unusual things for it to trigger. I did Lanayru first and had no problems.
I thought I was going to bring them back to lifeAlso you guys ever wonder if the giant robot statues in Lanaryu were actually functional at one point?

Well I have spoken to the Goron, but that was after already getting the first sword flame enhancement, so I should be safe?
For all of you wanting voice acting in the game would you want it to sound like this? I thought it was pretty good for a fandub

Okay, now I'm convinced. Voice acting needs to be in the next Zelda should they take this route again. For all of you wanting voice acting in the game would you want it to sound like this? I thought it was pretty good for a fandub

Actually, I just realized:
The bird symbol you see everywhere doesn't JUST represent the loftwings. It also represents Hylia herself.
If you look at the pillars in the background, you'll see little carvings of Hylia. Look at the shape of her body, and the wings coming off of it. It's fairly similar to the wings and body of the hylian symbol.

(also, I think it's funny that Hylia appears to be left handed in these carvings)
But yeah, take a look at a goddess cube:

Same body and wings, no bird legs in this one.
I imagined him with more of a Frieza voice.

see this is why i don't want it. just doesn't sound as good as i would have wanted it. too overdramatic (like ghirahim, sure, but i think ghirahim's actions are overdramatic by himself and the voice doesn't need to be). by that i mainly mean the constant shifts between talk and whisper. also, i imagined there being a quick build up to the sick with anger line.
did you say this because you imagined him with more of a frieza voice or because you knew his voice was the actual frieza voice?
But it's not. It just sounds like him.
Because you have seen it without, and now you're seeing it with it. It won't be so much of a problem when that's the only way you'll see it.![]()

i always heard it as:
do you know how that made me feel inside?
outraged, furious, SICK with anger!
instead the guy goes:
do-you-hhhhave aaaany idea how that made me feel inside?
outraged! furious! sick! with!! anger!!!
the way i imagined it builds up with the first line, posing an actual question to link, his voice going up a the end instead of a low whisper. the second line comes faster, and continues to build until 'sick with anger,' with an emphasis on the word 'sick'
