Bleach: C+

This chapter was wickity wickity WACK. Nothing but cool poses and random ink spills!

Nah but seriously, this chapter was just alright. Not horrible, not great. The parts with the captains talking was awesome up until Hitsugaya started riding the homie Ichigo's dick so damn hard. UGH. Ice Princess is back.

Ginjo is a troll? No surprise. He's become fodder, and Kubo is gonna have to have a very solid flashback to turn his villain status around, otherwise he will be a POOR followup to Aizen.

Other than that, the art in this chapter (outside of RANDOMSLASH X and FOLLOWUP SLASH Y) was very fucking good. Like, Kubo's art is usually good so it doesn't need to be mentioned, but there were some panels (of Ichigo) where I said "wow that looks fucking awesome."

Bring on the next arc.
And BTW IchiRukia is legit now :P
What? Wtf is this shit? Beam, I know you're a IchiRuki fan but that shit is downright awful. As far as I'm concerned, Rukia has done just as much as Orihime in this arc in terms of action. She didn't even finish her fight, we don't even know what happened to Riruka. She just fell out while big boss Byakuya came to rescue lil baby sister. Rukia just remembered some stuff about Ichigo. That's what everyone else does too.

Naruto: F

Good god, I didn't even read this shit. My sister was scrolling down the page while I was trying to cut through my chicken in a Penne Rosa from noodles and company. She kept stopping while I was looking down but I told her to go on and describe what the motherfuckers were saying. It went something like "THE KAGES. KEEP THEM SOMETfedoaeghsroi8hg4otgihw4eto98s4hto8is4nt BLAHG BLAH BLAH"

In other words, I don't know what the fuck happened, so I'm giving this an F.

Hunter X Hunter: B

Finally, a good chap-what? No, wait, this chapter wasn't up to my recent standards I've set for HxH!!! What the fuck was happening? I think Togashi sometimes expects us to read HxH to read his chapters like we're supposed to read a goddamn map. I CANT DO THISSS

No but seriously, I'm loving the Killua action, and the fact that he's building up the suspense with the Illumi-Killua-Hisoka triangle. I want to see where it goes but I hope the election stuff doesn't interfere too much. But then I feel like the two things are about to blend with the conclusion of this chapter. Overall, a solid chapter.

I guess my problem with your grades is that you hate the premise of Naruto itself so you're grading it on a curve and giving it a "D" when it's "meh." The problem is, when a Moon's Eye Plan chapter comes out, there's nothing reasonable for you to give it because you gave it "F" in some chapter because people were just standing around talking (which you did 2 weeks ago).
No I gave it an F because the art was especially terrible that week and so was the action scenes. This chapter was just meh in comparison, neither was terrible this week. There's just no excuse for the shit-a-tude of a chapter last week

You did not expect Ginjou to measure to Aizen did you.

Jesus, dude. I am not IchiRuki fan. I was just making fun, therefor the :P

Hunter X Hunter

Pretty good chapter, although I'm actually more excited to see what's happening with Leorio and the elections

One Piece

I call it now: Sometime later in the story the strawheads go back to fishmen island to "get" Poseidon and then will Luffy destroy the place! Forshadowing.

Bleach, wherever I was at through ch 476 - End of the Aizen arc wasn't that bad, all things considered. Of course, doing the ~100 chapters in bulk changes my opinion a bit since I'm not on a week-to-week basis, I suppose. Fullbringer arc has a lack of a sense of real ... well, urgency.

You need more than a handful before you can be considered a "force" :P
Quality, not quantity, my friend.

Shipping wars are a line I am not ready to cross. Especially not in Bleach where anything not obvious is absolutely ambiguous as shit.
Stat Flow, Tactical Fox, and mugurumakensei (i know you want to MK :D) are reserve ready for deployment whenever
Serious shoutouts to Tactical Fox. I hope you are staying safe...if you can read this.

oh really? lol

I really think that would be the final straw in regards to discussions in manga-GAF. I agree about bleach's scenario, plus the MC completely being clueless doesn't help either

Indeed.

Well then what would have you given the chapter in which Tobi revealed the Moon's Eye Plan?

It's kind of silly if "bad art = F" but "totally fucked plot = F also."

I also don't think the art in that week looked any different than it always does. Kishimoto's art is nothing better than serviceable in any case.

Sometimes it's not so much quality as it is "is the author actually trying to show something interesting?"

When Bleach actually has backgrounds once in a blue moon, it doesn't mean the art is "better", it just means you have more things to actually look at.

If Big One's anything like me, he'd probably grade the art in Naruto not just by how "good" it is, but also if there's anything genuinly worthwhile to look at.

Bleach
Okay chapter , this arc should be finish soon.
Want to see what the next arc about

One Piece
I love party chapters since there allot of fun .
Jinbei will join later and finding out more history is always good.
Great chapter .

HxH
Should be fun to see what happens next .

That was the arc that made me a fan of the series, and it was even better animated. Its been hard for the fullbring arc to compare

Werent there rumors for the arcs left before Bleach ends? Some on Isshin?

Naruto vs Sasuke end of Part 1?

I never noticed it before but it changed how I viewed the outcome. Naruto pushes his rasengan onto Sasuke's head protector while Sasuke hits Naruto's chest. I just find it interesting because otherwise, Naruto would've won the battle (the plot wouldn't have moved forward though). I hope he doesn't hold back against him in their final battle...

Hunter x Hunter B

Pretty damn crazy, but slower than the other chapters. With Illumi having zombie soldiers this arc just got more interesting

Well then what would have you given the chapter in which Tobi revealed the Moon's Eye Plan?
That'd be impossible to rate cause that goes way bellow failing as a manga. By that point, it gets personally offensive to me. I would probably rate it an "F" but there's so much more things wrong with it that graded quality is pretty minuscule to how much magnitude terrible it is. It goes beyond manga as being one of the worst plot twists in the entirety of literature itself.

It's kind of silly if "bad art = F" but "totally fucked plot = F also."

This is where you're wrong in a lot of ways. Of course Kishimoto has moments similar to last week's where his art is just downright putrid, and I'm not turning a blind eye to that, but this chapter kind of combines them all. Sketchy art, TERRIBLY drawn backgrounds (which is what Kishimoto is usually good at!), terrible proportions (again his proportions are pretty consistently good), and nothing interesting going on whatsoever. The art in last chapter is too busy and offensively assumes we think these characters are badass, especially since it's following a minuscule amount of chapters of actual awesome characters like the Five Kage, which also pisses me off greatly. Yeah let's switch from something actually important, to this garbage.

It isn't just the art either but also the fact that all of them have the Rinnegan and Sharingan, which is still abysmally idiotic

One Piece
Ugh. I dont want Jinbei to join their crew. He was a Shichibukai. He was and still is too much of a badass to work under Luffy.

Luffy and Zoro are definitely stronger than him, no debate there. Sanji is either stronger or on the same level.

Did Naruto do that intentionally? I don't remember it.

REAL vol 2

God damn it, why isn't Nomiya playing ball? So sad seeing him there watching his team get completely owned and embarrassed due to lack of leadership and training. Loved the Togawa flashback. It's always about strict dads wanting their sons to play piano isn't it? Piano must be the most hated evil hobby ever.

I had no idea about this points division system. I guess it makes sense since there are varying levels of how crippled you are. I also need to look up the rules on wheelchair basketball. I have no idea how much dribbling they have and how long they get to keep the ball on their laps.

If they dont hold back then one will die. Unless it is going for both dying from a simultaneous blow in each others arms, then I do not think the story will go for that type of tragic ending. They both have skills that would also extensively leave each other hurting for life and unrecoverable (rasenshurkin).

Quality, not quantity, my friend.
How does that work exactly?

I am reading some really weird stuff today. Mangaf-Wed is so very odd.

Am I the only would who feels this thread would be more entertaining if Grim/OP graded each others posts? Or am I trolling too hard today?

Believers, by Naoki Yamamoto.

It's not exactly trashy in the sense that it belongs with the usual harem work. It's more like an examination of sexual desire and how it pushes these characters caught up in the wake of a dying cult.

Did Naruto do that intentionally? I don't remember it.

I think so, he didn't want to kill him. I always wondered why he wasn't the victor (besides for plot) because it was explained Rasengan is more powerful. But seeing that, it made sense. It didn't even touch his skin whereas Sasuke went in for the kill. I feel like the anime didn't show this either but I could be wrong.

My guess is that he is currently stronger than Zoro but will be surpassed very soon. Later on, when Jinbei will join, everyone in the crew will already be schikibukai level.

Zoro trained with Mihawk and lived. I really get the feeling that Zoro hasn't even tried yet in battle. I mean Mihawk can cut through an entire fleet of ships...

NARUTO

I seriously lol'd when that Pokemon appeared, but I guess it looks more like a Dragon Quest monster.

I always read Bleach and Naruto before Hunter X Hunter otherwise they'd look like complete shit well, Bleach was. Naruto was ok. Hunter X Hunter was incredible.

But but...personally offensive? I thought it was an obligatory read of yours.

It's personally offensive cause at one point, Naruto was pretty good. The action was good, the artwork was good, and the characters were awesome. Sure no matter how you package it, Sasuke's backstory is putrid shit, but Naruto once had a lot going for it. So much so that it was actually a solid action, shinobi shonen manga.

Naruto went exactly downhill when it was revealed that there are other tailed-beasts in the series (tying in Gaara's demon with Naruto's even though they're completely different in how they're used), and kept on getting worse. Once Tobi's plan finally came up, it was practically a punishment for reading Naruto up to that point.

believers -

Finally got around to finishing it, and it was good. I think parallels to Aum Shinrikyo are obvious and needn't be pointed out.

I didn't like the end very much - especially the exposition detailing just what happened, and how. I don't think an explanation of how the cult came about was necessary; the story just needed its existence as a looming presence motivating and justifying their ever-deteriorating actions.

Hunter x Hunter volume 25

Don't fuck with the King's chess buddy.

It's funny seeing when these hiatus's happen, this definately would have killed me inside waiting in real time.

fujimura-kun Meitsu

Not too far in, but this is fun stuff. One of those gag-filled romcoms with average-to-mediocre art and a somewhat interesting cast. Eri is love.

Just finished it.

I don't like these video games comparison. So the cult started from people being addicted to the game or something like that? Anyway, I take it that the girl is dead and that scenario at the end with the hostages was fake I think? Man this was a weird ending.

Yeah, the
videogame thing just felt weird and not in a good way. Everything after where the Japanese soldiers barge in felt unnecessary, actually.

I think the scenario is with hostages is real,
since one of the inspirations for the work was the Japanese Red Army, and that felt like a little send-off regarding said inspiration. The girl is
definitely dead though. In a way he finally cleansed himself, I guess. Not the greatest of endings.
