I dislike them both....but Rachel CLOBBERED Marcus, and Marcus genuinely deserved to go home against Rachel's performance and being in the bottom 3 times in a row.

BWAHAHA, only saw part of the meltdown via a stream. I definitely have to watch that again when it comes on here at 11. I have NEVER seen a total breakdown like that before on TV.

In other news, Leona is quietly releasing a charity EP this Sunday before she unleashes her "Glass Heart" album in March next year.

Previews sound fierce, her voice has grown so much since she won the show.
 
I thought the point of the judges save, was to correct voter shortcomings. Seriously Rachael just murdered Marcus, and was failed by the judges and voted off.

This show sucks so bad, there is no point.

I thought of that, too. I haven't seen tonight's episode but obviously I've read the results.

I wonder if LA Reid talking about "Hollywood circling the wagon" around Rachel last night was coincidence or foreshadowing of tonight's decision.

When you watch it, listern to what she says before they perform. She telegraphed her vote by saying "who can handle it". By default, she's referring to the little girl who is not ready for the biz. All to cover her ass, when she knew who she was going to take out before they sang.

It would definitely explain why all the judges seemed to be going out of their way to avoid criticizing her second performance last night. Judges on these shows usually restrain themselves when the contestant is fated to be voted off...

Wow, I do not like how the voting works on this show. Deadlocks should only happen because the judges feel passionate about the person they're voting to save and it gets evenly split. Deadlocks shouldn't be there to save the last judge from having to make the decision. Seriously, what the hell is the point...
 
See this is why the judges having their own contestants is kind of a distraction from the actual competition. A very entertaining distraction, but still. Although in this case I'm equally indifferent towards Crow and Canty so I don't really care just yet.

Agreed.

You could tell from LA's reasoning that he was more impressed by Rachel's performance, but he votes for I-Canty because he's "his" contestant...

Simon's stare at the end of last week's elimination basically said she was gone.

This week was much less of a travesty than last week. Rachel has zero chance of a career in music but I can easily see Drew making a very listenable album.
 
I am supposed to hate this show, but it just keeps me entertained.

I know she is just 11 or whatever, and I do not expect her to realize this in her position, but this is just the beginning of the rest of her life. It is a competition, not a magical fairytale dream ride. The best thing anyone can do in a situation like that is become even more motivated.

I think we can all agree that Nicole has been the worst judge on any of these types of singing competitions in recent memory. Even Sharon Osbourne back in the infant years of X-Factor UK had something to say once in a while that wasn't just some empty catchphrase.
