I thought the Bronn fight was weird. I mean, I understood what they were going for, they wanted the audience to be surprised that the sell-sword beat the noble knight. But they made Bronn a little too much of an underdog, he is supposed to be a straight up badass in the books, and they made him kind of awkward in that fight.
I agree it shouldn't have looked like Bronn was the underdog. He pretty much is in control of the fight in the book until near the end when the guy bull rushes him.

They are almost in sync!

Going to be weird to listen to the kids talk about the third episode. I think it had the least amount of sex in it, but I swear there's at least two sex scenes as well as a scene in a whorehouse.

Cant wait for the Teaser tomorrow. I'm hoping we get some glimpses of Jaqen, Qhorin, and a better shot of Mel. Plus some spoken dialog from some of the new characters.

Awesome news. I initially figured there would be a teaser before losing faith as we got closer to Sunday with no news; plus I kinda figured the night would be focused entirely on the BE finale and the Luck premier.

This show will sell gazillions on DVD/BD, so I hope HBO was proactive and funnelled in more resources when appropriate. The dragon looked great in S1, but if they aim for them to be on screen, they shouldn't cut back at all.

ok I need a new show, people keep talking about this show. I don't wanna read the post due to hints and spoilers.

Make it simple, is this show that good?

Yeah, it's good. It just starts a bit slow and there are quite a lot of characters, so it might take a while for you to really catch up with who's who and how they relate to each other.

Yes. It's not the greatest show ever made, but it's a type of show that doesn't get made everyday. It has some extremely difficult source material to adapt from, and the show does an admirable job in bringing something fresh to television.

In all, if you like the genre, you'll probably like the show.

Started watching this with a group of friends last night. Really, really enjoyed it. Think it helped that we had someone there who had read the books and could help clarify who was who and what was what. Kinda makes me want to read the books. Sheeeit.

Started watching this earlier today. Fuck it's awesome. Kind of like a slightly more serious old English version of Spartacus!

I can't believe that the season 1 DVD is still not released. It would have made a perfect Christmas gift....oh well. :P

They're decision to hold it off stiff baffles me. I know they like to release their blu-ray/DVDs right before the new season starts to help advertise the new season (except for Boardwalk Empire, not sure if we ever got an explanation on what happened there), but it seems like a great missed opportunity not to get the set out before Christmas.

I really don't understand their DVD policy. It's like they hold sets off until the next season with the intention of the new season driving DVD sales, instead of releasing a DVD set in order to get more people interested in the new season.

Well, yeah that was a teaser... No kidding. Would have been nice to have given us some more instead of a few fading transitions from character to character while Stannis talked but that goes without saying. :P

Stannis is in it, plus it looks like his wife is standing next to him. That's it though, it mainly showed the returning characters in short clips. The short clips though give a good indication of what's happened/happening to the characters.

As excited as I am for S2, I just can't fucking WAIT for S3, especially (A Storm of Swords HUGE spoiler):
the Red Wedding.
HOLY FUCK that moment is going to be fuckawesome. It could be the best moment of the series, so far.

And no, I haven't even finished ASOS yet, I'm still at (SPOILERS!)
Joffrey's poisoning (FUCK. YES.), Sansa's escape and Tyrion's imprisonment)
and it has been... sogood.gif
