-Why does the MC have a hair clip?
New series Ban-Kon in Shounen Sunday. So the MC is sort of a Tomoki (Sora) except his deal is hopeless confessions, less perverted. Quite humorous actually. Anyway, the MC makes a prayer at a shrine and is whisked away. Then we have wish granting (for agirlfriend wife) and bam, he gets a wife. Cept the wife is actually the god herself even though her (original?) form is some towering giant in armor concealing her face (like the tower knight in DS).
Anyway, long story short (too late /clue film reference), the MC is now involved in battles (shocking!), territory ones, being a proxy for the god. The original idea is that their weapon is related to the wish so they fight with the red string of fate, which is attached to both pinkies (I believe). The comedy comes with the idea that the red string grows in thickness based on the affection between each other, or truthfulness to the wish. There are some funny lines from that.
The unanswered currently is sort of a frivolous one where the MC is concerned if the original hulking form of the god is the real one. Really close to the Inukami issue and it makes him waffle the same. Anyway, he is also pulling a Tomoki, as in ignoring the angeloids not being human, and enjoying her cute form for what it is worth. I think that line summarizes things pretty well so far. Guy makes a wish, gets a girl, fights in god battles. So pretty much ordinary day-to-day life in Japan. It's just three chapters so far, though, so I can't say too much about the direction as of yet. However, I can say that I want to see more battles just for the sake of seeing more abilities out of it. Seems to o down the fun and whimsy route on the subject.
Also, lol at Isana's "true" form and the MC's imagination of being in bed with her (...that? it? How does she fit in the bed in those imagination bits anyway?)
I'm truly hoping for a "because I love you Meiko" and the shit goes all yuri.
That shit was funny especially Isana's retort of "what gets bigger!?!" Isana is adorable FYI.
He's got quite the imagination. The whole tower knight look is pretty funny espcially in comedic form. But what is under that mask...I'm thinking she is just a bigger version of what we are shown. She is definitely in a female form.

Finally there is a new chapter out. I almost thought they dropped the manga but I'm guessing it's really monthly.
Anyway so there is talk of aliens making up those games which seems really likely seeing how the cube fell on the hospital from the sky. This new game seems more luck based as you have to close your eyes and guess the doll behind you but I'm sure there is some trick to it. I also love how this manga constantly hypes random people up then kill them few pages later. It's like SnK except so far they have been killing everyone except for the MC and that other girl.

"Meiko is the true protagonist" is such an amazing troll twist that I'd be laughing too hard to not be enjoying it.

I was going to say that's such a strange synopsis but, hey, Sankarea was great.
Anyway, High School D x D 1-2 - "Would you mind dying right now?"
Well, at least she asked. How nice of her. Two chapters so far so, again, I can't say much on the direction. Even less so than Gan-Kon since there's not even a battle or anything yet (though, "Sacred Gear" and talk about power and stuff makes me think it'll eventually go that route) to shed some light on the future. The girls are cute and the fact the MC is in it for "I WANT TO BECOME A HAREM KING" was pretty funny, though.
Chapter 2 ended with
fanservice clumsy girl, though she'll probably try to kill him because that's the way it works
Edit: Huh. Appears to be starting an anime up this next season. I guess I may as well watch it. What's the worst that could happen?
Haganai got way too fanservice-y in the anime :/ Sure, it had it's moments in the LN and manga adaptations but ... it wasn't that bad. It's actually a pretty fun story in and of itself. And it felt refreshing as a series to seriously make me question

This is a very badass shounen manga. I'm enjoying all this food stuff and the world building. Toriko already found the dessert at the end of the first volume. Seemed pretty fast but I guess they can delay the rest.
I'm guessing at a certain point in the manga he will stop fighting animals and start fighting other hunters?

(I'm at volume 3) I gather that he never stops fighting animals, but yes, the overall story/villains/etc start coming in around v2/v3.
Must admit I really didn't like this manga out of the gate, but tried again and can definitely see the charm (enough to keep reading!) Plenty of comedy but in a light-hearted sense as opposed to Gintama's hammer. Also vaguely reminds me of Beet but for really no reason.
(...speaking of which, did Beet ever get picked back up? I guess not. Tough break getting sick before monthly Jump got canned.)
Just finished the third volume and yeah it does look like there will be more normal enemies.

Coco is a chill dude. I like his abilities plus double teaming with Toriko to fight the devil serpent was very badass. Need to see more of him soon.
The fight against the robot was very cool. I didn't care for the emotional part they had for the wolf, but whatever, at least the fight was cool. I'm also loving these monstrous appearances of characters when they are about to fight. The one for the Chieft was awesome.

I'm still waiting for new chapters of Teppu and Tetsuwan Girl. I hope you'll have more luck with Ubel Blatt.
I'm pretty sure they've more than caught up, it's the hiatus that killed the series.
The only thing that sucks about Ubel Blatt is that Koinzell isn't banging random hoes left and right anymore.
Too busy with his main quest to bother with the romances, smh.

Those outfits, WTH is that shit. Ass/crotch cleavage on the princess, almost naked loli, and bare ass Miu. Why is Kenichi studying, are you for fuck-sake real? And why did Sakaki start a sentence, run 1/2 mile to the front of the castle, punch a hole in the wall, and then finish his thought!?! They weren't even close! And I can tell like 2% of the time WTH the action on the panels is doing. No, fuck that. -2% cause this manga breaks fucking logic in half. Seriously, it's such a cluster of shit. Everything is backwards and every panel is like a rorschach test. OMG it's a gun...oh wait, an arm...nah, it's a bunny...fuck. And the god fist comes in MURDERING someone and Sakaki scolds him in jest. GAAAAAGGGHHHHHHHHH
When I saw that in the anime, I raged and turned off the TV. I was a kid at the time but still...

Don't worry it doesn't last long. Its like the author went the "Berserk" route at first to get some readers.

All in all, it was really fun. A shame the final arc was kind of a dud, an epilogue straight after the Christmas Bowl would have been a much better way to end things.
Komusubi was definitely the Ensemble Darkhorse, His dismissive face was hilarious every time. Hiruma was also a really good character.
The major sour note on the series has to be all the race shenanigans. I understand that it's the easiest way to make the protagonists the underdogs in an international match, but it was almost uncomfortable to read.
