So we've got:

-News about the new world/Marines/What happened during the timeskip

-Aizen 2 is back

-SASUKE returns? My main homie that actually does badass stuff? And Gai opens a gate?

I think Kubo/Oda/Kishi planned these chapters especially for me.

Okay maybe that was incorrect usage of the term...what I meant was that he once again extended a plot line by bringing back a character (Aizen 2) who only seemed done and dusted a few chapters ago...its boring

It´s ok if you find it boring, i find it interesting especially after the shinigami have gone home. That way the human cast (Orihime, Chad, Ishida) might actually do something. It will make me happy if they do somehting. Besides, we are getting more info about Tsukishima, that´s not a bad thing in my opinion.
 
Lament of the Lamb vol 1

So good. Kei Tome is one of my favorite artists and authors. She hasn't disappointed me yet with the works of her I've read, and this one seems to be no exception. I like both Kazuna and his sister. The family "curse" is an interesting aspect and even if it isn't outright stated how much of it the family that has Kazuna knows about it, I can understand why they didn't talk to him about his real family and everything, though it's not cool with me.
 
Caught up to One Piece in anticipation for this upcoming chapter. That was surprisingly quick! Not bad to conclude all of this stuff.

Another epic situation involving Luffy, what a surprise. There were some good one liners here, though. Pretty funny, too.

One thing that didn't make sense is how people were still saying "BUT THE LAW?!?!?!" when Luffy needed blood. The same people that weren't going to leave their place because they all placed their faith in Luffy to save them from Noah, are now letting a law stop them from saving the very same person's life? C'mon.

Anyways, the banquet and everything is cool, as is the Poseidon twist. We'll see what happens there. Maybe this will force Shirahoshi to become a nakama?
 
Bleach

The cover is amazing. I really liked Ginjou´s inner monologue. A flashback is coming. So Ginjou and Tsukishima go way back. The flashback should really be good.

- ROFL, you knew Riruka was gonna jump ship on the Fullbringers, she's Team Ichigo now.

- Hooray for "fun" flashback chapters...I wish Kubo'd just get on with it and let Ichigo stomp Facebook's ass.
 
Bleachu

This chapter didn't do much for me, it felt like so little happened.

Bleach can be okay from time to time, but I find it's pacing so dull.

I guess we can expect the next arc relatively soon from this point on,
which is good.

Bleach seems to be at it's best (for me) during it's buildup phase.
 
Naruto is out, and Kishi really know how to make cool illustration for cover.

love this chapter, Naruto should start being useful again next chapter I guess. Kyuubi is so tsundere in this one. lol
 
One Piece 650 Spoilers:

Well it seems Caribou just got way more important. Not only does he have info on Shirahoshi, but he has the Tamatebako. I'm a bit confused at the part of the spoiler with the ES drugs (did he ALSO get ES drugs or does the Tamatebako work because of ES drugs?), but I'll wait for the chapter for clarification.

Aokiji leaving the marines was unexpected but it's not like the "trio" was going to remain in tact with a new Fleet Admiral anyway. I just can't see Kizaru sticking around as Akainu's lacky either, so something must have happened with him as well.

Anyway, I'll stop speculating for now until the chapter drops.

No. The kyuubi has always tried to take control over Naruto. We always knew that he kept Naruto alive because if Naruto dies the kyuubi dies. This is the first time that is mentioned of the why does the ktuubi hate and what happened to him. this is the first time that we hear kyuubi talking to another jinchuriki, and hear him talk about himself as a pet. It´s the first time we hear that the kyuubi and the ichibi did not agree and that the ichibi hated him. All of those are important info about the kyuubi that we did not know before.

Well I get we got a lot of new information.

I'm not denying this was character development, I was just asking if it's really the first time he's shown -any- change.

But I swear the Kyuubi had become more lenient/less of a grinch in past scenes as well, even if only by a tiny tiny bit.

That´s true. Lately the kyuubi has become more lenient towards Naruto.

Looked like Tobi has the beasts chained with something in order to control their actions and they seem to have free will in beast mode otherwise? Not sure.

Akainu vs Aokiji must've been fucking crazy, I would love to see that animated for like a minute flashback in the anime.

Great chapter but translation seem off in a lot of ways .
Still a lot of new info and BB able to take away people powers after he kill them is huge.
We also look like we get a set up with Big Mam or maybe the go after mud guy.
Also seeing hody and his gang as old people had me LMAO

I'm done. I had planned to at least finish off this arc, but at this point I really couldn't care less about any of the characters or the story so there's no point in continuing with it.

I'm very interested to see where all of this will go, interesting to see that all of Hodi and his men are pretty much permanently disabled, haven't seen such a permanent "punishment" for any OP villain yet.

I called it! Even though Oda made it obvious by moving Marine HQ to the new world. Only Akainu would do that.

Okay chapter. The color spread of Sasuke was actually kinda cool. Guess the nine-tails is warming up to Naruto...finally.

One Piece - This was great I for one can't wait until Luffy meet Akainu again its my most anticipated manga showdown of all time.

I would love to see the Fight between Aokiji and Akainu animated too..

Blackbeard is an Emperor now? I called that too! That one was the most obvious though...

I didn't expect Aokiji to leave the Marines, that throws my predictions off by quite a bit. I expected the Admirals to remain an all Logia lineup. I still think Smoker will get promoted to Admiral, he seems like the kind of guy Akainu would have a lot of faith in. The question now is, who will take the third spot? The way Jimbei talks about the Marines becoming weaker suggest that one of the existing Vice-Admirals got promoted, and the only real candidate out of them would be Momonga. But I'm going to go out on a limb and say Oda will create a new character fro the third spot, most likely with a Logia ability. If I was really crazy I'd say they'd have Ace's flame fruit, but that would actually be madness.

Just for clarity, we are expecting two new admirals now, right?

Akainu is no longer an admiral because he stepped up to Fleet Admiral level and Aokiji left his position.


So next to Kizaru we'll have a total of two vacant positions that need to be filled in the marine ranks.



If the numbers will stay the same (which, presumably, they will) we'll most likely see two vice admirals ascend to the rank of Admiral, right?


I'm actually really curious about this all, because as things stand the marines have had:

2 admiral spots to refill

3 shichibukai positions to refill

probably a bunch of fleet admiral/rear admiral spots to refill too.



Now last we saw them Smoker was a commodore, that's pretty much 3 ranks below Admiral.

Though it was a well known fact he easily could've gone up in rank if he actually bothered to try, right? He already denied a request for promition once, so technically he was at least qualified to be rear admiral around Arabasta.


One thing I'm mostly curious about is if these holes will be filled largely by familiar/important faces, or by obscure or new characters alltogether.

A few of the vice admirals are extremely Akainu-like in personality (Onigumo and Doberman being the most prominent ones, iirc)
so logically speaking I could imagine Akainu, if it's his decision, promoting these types of character to admiral rank.

Would Smoker be okay with this? Isn't he completely disinterested in reaching high ranks?

Was abit confused about the ending? Big Mam is going to attack the island cause the Strawhats ate the candy?

Garp is another Vice Admiral that needed to be replaced since the time skip. But I don't think we'll see much focus on the VA's. They all strike me as significantly below the admirals, so I can't imagine who is worthy of the promotion. Garp would have been. Only other one we have properly seen is Momonga, but we know he is somewhere below Boa but above Luffy in the Marineford arc.

I'm expecting Aokiji to link up with the Revolutionaries.

Just about everyone called on Akainu being the new Fleet Admiral the moment Sengoku reccomended Aokiji. But holy shit did I not expect a Akainu vs Aokiji 10 day showdown coupled with Aokiji full out bailing on the marines afterwards, he must have really been adamant against Akainu just by getting off his arse never mind getting into a full on deathmatch.

While I doubt Coby would actually make such a leap in 2 years, it does open a path to being admiral.

And lol at Sanji, also further "hints" that Zoro and Sanji at least have the colours Haki, Zoro will still manage to get lost though. :lol
