The problem is Kishi still hasn't gotten from point A to point B in that regard. We're at point A.5. And I fear it's probably going to be that way where Kishi devotes one page to Sasuke each chapter to show his progress until he finally gets to point B (Naruto).

He jumped out of the lair as I said. Answered. Why'd he do that? Kishi tries to be "dramatic".

I suppose it would be okay if Sasuke fought Naruto here, but I also thought it would be unlikely since that would essentially end the series and Kishi is still creating new plot threads (i.e. Team Hawk goes to Orochimaru's hideout in this chapter, Kabuto is alive, Tenzo is still captured). The problem I have with a fight between the two that doesn't end the series this is the impossibility of Naruto winning and high likelihood of him and the readers getting trolled by new powerups.

What I don't like is that this war reminds me a lot of the Bleach War arc, although in fairness it was handled a lot better by virtue of simply not taking as long as that arc. The similarities for me lie in the fact we were treated to a months (year?) long festival of shitty side character fights for people that whiny fans believed they wanted to have fights, but it turns out they just grind shit to a halt. (I still laugh when people go, "DERP WHRE'S ROCK LEE," despite the fact this was directly following a slogfest of side character fights of 0 consequence).

We're only now to the point where most of the running plot threads are interesting (i.e. Madara wrecking shit, Tobi: Pokemon Master, and even Sasuke doing whatever the fuck it is he's doing)

Yeah I hate people who want one of the few genuinely good characters to get proper focus
I'm still waiting for your Onani Master Kurosawa review:

Onani Master Kurosawa F

The art sucks and the storyline insults my intelligence. Everyone just keeps masturbating. Like, after a while, I was like, why is everyone so focused on masturbating all the time? Couldn't there be anything else other than multiple characters masturbating? This must be the worst plot ever written in the history of this world or even parallel dimensions.

I'm still waiting for your Onani Master Kurosawa review:

*snip*
No, shut the fuck up. Don't even start this shit, don't even instigate. I can give a pass on you having a lack of respect for other people's posts and opinions, but this is just going too far. There is absolutely no reason for you to give me that kind of response

Actually yes there is, because you got called out on lying and just bailed completely on the entire thread for a week because you didn't want to cop to what you did. I don't get where you think I should "respect" anything you post because you don't have any credibility. If "respect" is what you care about, maybe you should respect us by not trolling things you've never read.

I don't know where you thought you could outright lie to the entire thread and be judgmental about a ton of stuff you never read; then, when you get called on it everyone has to pretend it never happened. Especially after you just bailed mid conversation and then just returned a few days later being as hyper argumentative as ever.

I'm still waiting for your Onani Master Kurosawa review:

I was personally really touched by Onani Master Kurosawa. Really, a very pleasant surprise since at the beginning all sorts of WTF were flying in my head when I saw the title.

A lot of very touching scenes in this manga, with a lot of heart as well. The term "don't judge the book by its cover" its really an apt description to describe Onani Master Kurosawa.

I see Grimace is still trolling so hard lol

As the saying goes, "it takes two to tango", hahaha.

Sasuke from the future and while its DTL i will support this for the potential lolz this could result in if true.

That would be way to funny but i would think Kishi is not that crazy.
Also another lovers fight about to start .
Angry Grimace you were bitching about Big One even before that stuff happen so don't make it out to be some big deal .

I dunno. Tobi's "Good Eye" remark to Kakashi could have more underlying meaning. lol

Yeah we are talking wild speculation here man. Everyone knows he is Obito. That's the whole reason Kis ever released the story because than he wouldn't have to have a giant flashback explaining everything about Obito.

I'm sorry bro, but it's true. I mean, how is what we're seeing NOT TnJ? Naruto says "Awwww, well, shucks. Chilling with you in me ain't so bad after all" and now we're gravy.
To be fair, he DID get the 9T's power without talking it out of him, and it only half worked. It actually makes sense that he'd have to TNJ it out.

Lack of respect? No, I have no respect at all for you or anything you post because you don't have any credibility.

I don't know where you thought you could outright lie to the entire thread and be judgmental about a ton of stuff you never read and then when you get called on it everyone has to pretend it never happened after you just bailed mid conversation and then just returned a few days later being as hyper argumentative as ever, but also insist nobody can bring it up.

But fine, I won't bother you about it until you start making things up again.

An event that never happened in the entirety of this thread's history. You're only creating this because it's what you think, not because it's truth. I never even remotely suggested I was lying, and I'm pretty sure I'm not cause I really did read Onai, My Balls, and Fairy Tail at some point in my life (really, what reason is there to lie about those series in specific, and then admit that I haven't read other series?). You're lack of disbelief that people forget things is also misplaced and also untruthful and suggests that you're attempting to simply find reasons to vehemently oppose me.

Also the lack of respect certainly didn't start when I got "caught lying" since you've been doing this for a while now, for no real reason other than that you're tired of people saying Naruto and Bleach are shit.

I have a final tomorrow, so I don't have time to go quote the posts, but how about when you insisted nothing in Fairy Tail is as bad as Naruto, then claimed two pages later you read approximately a volume of it, 5 years ago.

Hint: The moderators read the thread already, so continually trying to reference the rules are doing nothing for you.

You guys make me angry for talking about jump series which I don't read for 10 pages. That's not fair. Stop doing that.

Unless, would it be OK for me to write a review for a random chapter of a series I don't read based on spoilers and other people's posts? Could be fun right? Please sign ___________ and I'll get right to work on my latest OP review. I'll even use letter grades.

---

In lighter news, somebody needs to edit a "you guys really get along" panel with Grimace and BO. I could do it tomorrow at work if somebody finds a nice SFW one.

Sort of like this.

"Oh, you two."

Fine: I'll respond to his substantive comment.

Yes, Rock Lee is a wonderful character and not a straight up Bruce Lee tribute character who hasn't had a relevant plot arc in 400 chapters. It doens't matter who the character is, putting characters in that aren't relevant anymore just slows things down for the purpose of fanservice.

I want to see more Shikamaru, but I don't find his shtick that appealing now that every villain has upgraded to blow the shit out of the Earth.

The difference is that Shikamaru has been relevant throughout the plot, including Part II and Rock Lee hasn't. It's a silly response to insist the manga literally become Part I again just to put those characters in. It wouldn't make any sense.

I said specifically that what I've read of Fairy Tail wasn't worse than Naruto, or at least I don't remember it to be. I've always made it known in the manga thread that I've barely read Fairy Tail even before this subject ever came up, just because you haven't paying attention doesn't put me at fault

Having Shikamaru work out some plans for the big boys would be fun but seeing him fight right now would be waste IMO.
People that matter get way to strong for him to be fighting them.

In a perfect world, I would have preferred if Shikamaru vs Zombie Asuma fight was replaced by Rock Lee vs zombie loved one fight. Too bad no one of importance to Rock Lee has died in part I.

We do have search you know

Neither of those manga have low points as abysmal as Naruto does, you're gonna have to provide better examples.

I didn't read to the end of any of these manga. I don't really remember the plot of Onani other than some lulz, awesome shit, relationships between the characters, which I eventually got bored of fast.

My Balls was a fun series that I did like, but reading it on the chans is pretty tedious so I just gave up and went to bed. I remember that the character was going to save the world from an evil fairy and that's really all I recall of it.

As for Fairy Tail I remember reading it around the time I read One Piece (2006/2007) which was around the time it first came out. I lost interest after the first two volumes, and I don't remember shit about what happened in it (I barely remember what happened in One Piece most of the time). I remember it being compared to both One Piece and Bleach though which got me interested at the time.

I mean, c'mon, man, you said it doesn't have a low point lower than Naruto and you read 4% of the series.

His lack of appearance is fundamentally flawed with the entire series, this is true, but shouldn't be an excuse. In the grand scheme of things, Rock Lee wasn't "relevant" to Part 1 either, but he was characterized well with solid side-character focus for literally half of the entire manga. Rock Lee doesn't need to be relevant, he just needs to have awesome jutsu upgrades alongside the other main cast and fight in important battles. Instead everything related to power level growth is shoved into Naruto and Sasuke and that's pretty much it.

What do those quotes have to do what I just said? Matter of fact they prove me right

Part 1 isn't "literally" half the manga, Part II is significantly longer than Part I, and even so that was like six years ago when Pt. 1 ended.

In context, it doesn't make really fit that we'd randomly be treated to a Rock Lee fight right now, even if he's allegedly a good character.

They don't even remotely prove you right in any way at all under any possible way of reading them, actually unless you speak a foreign language that resembles English almost exactly but isn't English. It clearly shows you saying "neither of those series (referring to FT) have low points lower than Naruto's low points." The first two volumes of Fairy Tail is 4% of the total output of the plot and approximately halfway through the first arc; so you just said it doesn't have any lower points than Naruto, but you read 4% of it so there's no way you'd even have the ability to know.

Yea the shift in that manga was pretty huge and pretty great imo.

Indeed.

Angry Grimace you were bitching about Big One even before that stuff happen so don't make it out to be some big deal .

True but thats why i would want it to happen plus Madara seemed pretty emo when he was talking to Naruto and Bee before their fight.

didn't you see it when you were banned? shit's turning into a daily routine

God not this shit again.

Yep this shit again.

I don't understand how the Bleach writing can be this bad. I mean I guess it's popular enough that it can just bypass the editors, but it's soooooooooooooo bad. The latest chapter was like wat. Ichigo saved some random guy by killing him?

You guys are such forum tsunderes. You love it, and just act like you don't for some weird reason.

It's not like it actually prevents you from just posting a different discussion which is more interesting than our petty debates.

It seems like the Sankarea's team found a replacement translator. So hooray, Christmas is saved

Go study for your final man.

It's a final on Mediation. The questions are all like, "Your client wants to resolve his partnership dispute amiably and without a lot of drama. What method of alternative dispute resolution would you recommend to your clients and what are the benefits?"

It's not even a real final. Those were yesterday and today.

Doesn't the year end break start around now anyways? It's last time you get a robust argument whether Naruto just regular sucks or is the suckiest thing that ever sucked for two whole weeks.

I don't see how it wouldn't make sense, this should be the perfect arc for showcasing his new ability. It would be more interesting if this war arc focused on, "HEY LOOK AT THESE COOL NEW POWERS ROCK LEE/NEJI/ETC." gained rather than having all the zombies get Sharigans, Rinnegans, and other dumb shit. One of the highlights of this arc was when Chouji did something, and that was cool. Then we went back to Narutu

This would be a valid argument if I made that post weeks later in relation to Fairy Tail, but I said it very soon after and made it very clear what experience I had with Fairy Tail. From my experiences with Fairy Tail and QED I never found anything as abysmal as the Itachi Pursuit arc. Very few manga I've read has reached that low for me, in the sense that my reaction to them wasn't as negative. Even if I read Fairy Tail in full from straight to finish I don't think I'll ever have such a negative reaction to it, because the difference there is that I would be going into Fairy Tail expecting it sucks while I went into Naruto expecting that one of the biggest manga out there wouldn't have new standards for lowest quality in storytelling and character development history. Also I actually really enjoyed Part 1 a lot, even before Part 2 was even first revealed in the series, so there's a more emotional value in that respect (even more-so than any connection I had with Bleach).

~whoooooooosh~

Anyway, as much as I love a good "call out fest" anyone feel like chatting about predictions for the big 3? I'm not going to bother with OP, its too difficult to accurately assess where Oda will go next but I think Naruto and Bleach are fair game.

In Naruto
-methinks Naruto will finally start kicking ass, and eventually enter the full bijuu state. I imagine the Kyuubi has enough power to wreck the other Bijuu hosts in no time flat.

In Bleach
-Hopefully, Ginjou is still alive manages to somehow siphon power off both riruka and tsukishima and give Ichigo an actual fight.

EDIT: As an aside, I really do think part I is overrated. Its really not that good haha...

I don't agree to the extent that the Chouji arc was blatantly unnecessary.

Even disposing of your perfidy, that argument (no manga has a worse plot twist than Naruto) made no sense because Wolf Guy exists.

I'm just saying that if you were capable of discussing these series without being blatantly vitriolic and hostile to the point of repeatedly referencing "all manga ever" and "the history of literature," you wouldn't get responses questioning your personal motives. The only manga everyone agrees on anyways is Fullmetal Alchemist, unless you secretly hate that for some reason.

I can't believe it, I'll read it and I'll report back on this, there's just no way

Around 50 chapters in, the main female lead gets gang raped for approximately 15 consecutive chapters, coming on the heels of another male supporting character being butt-raped by the same guy for no rational reason. The entire series is patently worse than Naruto anyways.

(Nobody should actively want Wolf Guy spoiler shielded, but fine)

Wouldn't have it been best if you said nothing so he could actually go read it?

It's a hentai manga? Don't see what's so wrong on the genre...but alright we'll see (already read chapter 1).
