Angry Grimace
Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"
The problem is Kishi still hasn't gotten from point A to point B in that regard. We're at point A.5. And I fear it's probably going to be that way where Kishi devotes one page to Sasuke each chapter to show his progress until he finally gets to point B (Naruto).
He jumped out of the lair as I said. Answered. Why'd he do that? Kishi tries to be "dramatic".
I suppose it would be okay if Sasuke fought Naruto here, but I also thought it would be unlikely since that would essentially end the series and Kishi is still creating new plot threads (i.e. Team Hawk goes to Orochimaru's hideout in this chapter, Kabuto is alive, Tenzo is still captured). The problem I have with a fight between the two that doesn't end the series this is the impossibility of Naruto winning and high likelihood of him and the readers getting trolled by new powerups.
What I don't like is that this war reminds me a lot of the Bleach War arc, although in fairness it was handled a lot better by virtue of simply not taking as long as that arc. The similarities for me lie in the fact we were treated to a months (year?) long festival of shitty side character fights for people that whiny fans believed they wanted to have fights, but it turns out they just grind shit to a halt. (I still laugh when people go, "DERP WHRE'S ROCK LEE," despite the fact this was directly following a slogfest of side character fights of 0 consequence).
We're only now to the point where most of the running plot threads are interesting (i.e. Madara wrecking shit, Tobi: Pokemon Master, and even Sasuke doing whatever the fuck it is he's doing)
