As I was watching the prologue, I was looking at that one guy at the beginning in the plane and was like..."where do I know this guy from...I know he's a good actor...cause the last thing I saw him in, I liked him....OH SHIT...THE WIRE!!!...ITS THE MAYOR!"

They're chanting more than just "Rise". Also, wth is Selina saying to Bruce "there's a storm coming...your friends batton down the hatches....something so large....for the rest of us".

"There's a storm coming, you and your friends better batten down the hatches. Did you really think you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us?"

Something to that effect.

I have to say that Nolan Fans has turned into quite the community. I think a lot of people, me included thought it would be a pretty nichey site, but they've got some great sleuthers on the forums. Not to mention you can find a number of the leaks and information there too.

It's a really cool community they got going there. For the most part, anyway. There are a few people there who get a bit creepy with how much they dig Nolan.

You people are debating over a split-second, obvious sight gag?

We have 7 months until the movie comes out. Shit is going to get a whole lot crazier from here.

"Bane will ask Batman to play a game of Football when he says "You have my permission to die". I think that is the Bat running the football to the endzone while everything collapses behind him"
i work on the WB lot as a nightguard and can vouch for the vaidity of this. In fact, as Bruce turns around to the horror and carnage behind him, Alfred stands up in his private stand and starts chanting "Bats fly together! Bats fly together!" When the whole stadium resumes chanting this, Alfred throws a tangerine the length of the football field which Bruce catches and squeezes the juices over his body, immediately winning the game. Spread this like wildfire

"You think this can last? There's a storm coming, Mr. Wayne. You and your friends better batten down the hatches... because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us."

Hard to say for sure, but I think that's it.

Interesting, sounds like Selina isn't a part of the "rich crowd" even though she's at their party and dresses like them. Probably just there to steal or something. I'm guessing she's gonna be a questionable bad guy then turns good at some point.

That was great.

Doesn't look like it will top the first trailer for The Dark Knight though. I still get chills over that one.

One problem for me is that everything looks like it's being handled perfectly but Bane doesn't really occupy the same kind of mindshare that the Joker does. This rendition looks awesome and badass but he doesn't have the legendary, universally known mythology behind him. Bane might be the ultimate terrorist, but Joker was a force of nature.

In other words, Heath Ledger is a really hard act to follow. Maybe impossible.

You've just got to accept that this isn't going to be as good as the last, but that doesn't mean it's not going to be good. I'll be here for the next seven months talking about every bit of dumb news. As soon as the movie is out, I'm done with this thread 'cause all the "it's not as good as the last" talk will make my brain bleed. 99% of the posts opening week will be "he just sucks compared to joker!"

You're not making any sense. Batman Begins didn't have the Joker and was better than TDK.

BB was better than TDK. And this looks a lot like BB.

Based off of comments I was expecting a five second mid-shot of the player jumping around and smiling, cutting a to a close-up if his face dropping from overjoyed to confused, but instead it was a three-second shot of the field collapsing in and the player turning around.

The reaction to that in this thread is god damn absurd.

BB was better than TDK until the third act. I think TDK had a much better ending(boat scene aside). But TDK had a much more boring middle part(Hong Kong wasnt very good).

Yo, some of use haven't seen the trailer yet.

I thought it was universally accepted that BB>TDK?

In my opinion the first half of BB is the best of both films, but once Bruce becomes Batman it decreases in quality. TDK is more consistent and better right the way through, plus Joker is the best character in the Batman series.

Both films are great, but the last third of Batman Begins gets dull. Everything up until he wakes up the morning after Falcone / Warehouse scene is top notch. After that it becomes a typical dull final act where there's some inexplicable evil plan and the hero has to punch the villain and his love is in danger or something. Basically the same final act as Iron Man, and a bunch of other comic movies.

and yeah, I don't see how TDKR is like Begins. It already feels different than the first two, but if it's closer to any, it's The Dark Knight.

This doesn't look anything like BB. It doesn't look like anything like TDK either.
bruce going to Asia
r'as al-ghul
batman hunted
bruce having to effectively reintroduce the batman to gotham.

why are you spoiling me you stupid fuck

spoiler tagged.

but lol dude, calm down, that's what I think it's going to be about (judging from the ending to TDK and the teaser released a few months ago). i haven't read anything from the synopsis. So it's not spoilers so much as it is speculation based on observation.
