NHL December |OT| The Team You Cheer For is Not Good Compared To Our Team

I really think Crawford is injured. I get that Emery is playing really well lately but up until the last few games he hadn't done any better than Crawford. The 'Hawks also can't bring up Salak without risking losing him on re-entry waivers so that's why I'm assuming they haven't put Crawford on injured reserve.

I don't know, but an injury just seems a little out there for me. A few games ago, the commentary team mentioned that Crawford told them before the game that he felt uncomfortable with how he was playing and was struggling to find a rhythm so he wanted to be sat for awhile so he could try and correct the issue in practice. He said he would have a few good games and then completely break down and couldn't get back in it, which is essentially what happened when Crawford started to let in at least 4 - 6 goals a game. I can totally see Coach Q sitting Crawford for awhile to let him rest and get some of that swagger back, especially with a great backup. However, if he is hurt... he is hurt. At least we have a strong backup!

I think Emery is playing a lot better than Crawford was when he was benched so I don't think Emery will be pulled anytime soon, because Emery is displaying a lot of confidence in goal right now which is something I noticed Crawford was missing in some of those late games. I mean, you can tell that Emery is wanting a contract extension. Emery looked really, really good tonight and has since he took over.

Regardless, I am extremely happy to have Emery on the team. I was actually really excited when they announced they signed him, because he has almost always been a very good goalie; unfortunately just plagued with attitude problems and an inability to land a solid, safe job. He seems like he has finally matured up and is ready for some stability and it shows in how well he is playing. Emery will be pulled when he is starting to show some signs of weakness and then they will put a fresh Crawford back in and we are right back to winning. The cycle will repeat when Crawford weakens and Emery is back in... on and on.

The Hawks are in a really, really good position with the goaltending right now though. Both goalies they have right now are extremely talented and they can probably go to either one and feel 100% confident in either.

On a different note, that Kane goal was absolutely amazing... it almost looked like Kane wanted to show Cullen how that type of goal is done, haha. Even if the Hawks lost, I wouldn't even be mad because both teams deserved that win. The Wild are amazing and it will interesting to see the rest of the season for that team.

Yeah man, that video was hilarious. And I just started watching 24 / 7 episode 1. Soooo good.

EDIT - OMG. Briz is fucking hilarious in this. He's so crazy.

EDIT 2 - Very good. Fantastic production values from HBO. I am envious of Philly and Ranger fans.

Forgot Bryz was with Philly! Woohoo! Must watch now. Better get loads of screen time!

He talked about "How he's into the Universe right now" and "Those tigers on this bottle, you know, if you kill them in China, death penalty, if you kill the tiger and they find you, that's it". Like even better than most Bryz interviews.

Definitely the highlight for me. He's a real cooky guy.

First episode of 24/7 was good, although I could have done without the 7 minutes or so dedicated to a Penguins loss. Still, it's a must watch for anyone who is a fan of the sport.

And yes, Bryz is amazing. His "Universe is so big so don't worry, be happy" speech is the stuff of legend.

The universe is sooooo humungous big you know!?

Terrible on the part of the parents, but no way should that kid ever be able to act like that. Insanity. Wouldn't expect much more from Pens fans, though.

The other day when my 4-year old son said his favorite football team was the Bears I simply answered, "That's not happening under this roof." He wondered why and then I gave him a lecture on Chicago fans.

I remember one time at a Bears Lions game, some lions fan ordered a hot dog, and while it was getting passed to him(he was like 15 seats from the aisle) some dude took a bite out of it and wrapped it back up. Him and some other guy got close to throwing fists after that and both got ejected.

then we sat next to some lions fans who were basically pissing on their own feet because they didn't want to walk to down to the restrooms, also ejected.

fuck the collective iq drops at bears lions games.

If you're not careful he'll become a Tebow fan.

Cool, the Habs will be briefly shown on 24/7 since they're playing philly.
I didn't even think about this, hopefully they get some Subban trolling on tape. Big game tonight, the team's finally coming around to finding their way somewhat and Philly's tough competition, hopefully the boys respond in a big way.

This 24/7 is the first one I've been able to watch. Was last season's this good? It's so cool having the curtain pulled back a bit. I want to walk around like Laviolette today saying fuck every chance I get. Bryz definitely would be an awesome guy to hang around with.

Loved Lundquist giving Buffalo Chophouse some love. Oh, and Hartnell telling Cooke "Alright, bud. You're the dirtiest player in the league" was awesome.

Just caught 24/7, great stuff from HBO again.

Bryzgalovs crazy musings (and the way the coaches humor him) are hilarious.

Avery smirking at Anisimov after his sniper celebration was pretty funny too, I knew he'd appreciate it!
