NHL December |OT| The Team You Cheer For is Not Good Compared To Our Team

You're like the last person in the world to figure this out, man. Joe Thornton uncovered the conspiracy last year. You'll all just have to deal with it.
Jumbo Joe on the case!

Boston was 4th lowest in times short-handed in 2010. How the hell can you be 4th lowest when playing that style?
discipline.

But on the other hand... Our top scorer, top defenseman and bryz on the bench

/trollface
For sure it was a good win and philly plays well without their top players, I just wish the refs had took the sticks out of their asses and let the teams play. Exciting game either way, I just harbour an unrelenting hate for Chris Lee.

Calls were shit both ways. Just gotta call it a wash at that point and accept the game for what it is. Lavy was laughing at it by the end....

I can't get over how that stick to Pronger's eye didn't hurt his eye much but somehow gave him severe post concussion syndrome similar to what players like Bergeron and Savard got from extremely strong hits to the head.

And then the flukinees of Giroux's concussion... but I guess it's better than if he was elbowed into oblivion like Lindros and Primeau were.

Nashville got so damn lucky. The things that would have happened to them 4 on 4... I can't even imagine.

cant argue that. miserable in the 2nd period, insanely clear passing lanes in their defensive zone, terrible in the neutral zone and still pulled out the W. 4 in a row. i can dig it.

So many good teams in the NHL. The cap really has helped to create parity. It's like you can watch almost any game, and you're never certain who's going to win. Aside from two or three teams at the bottom, it feels like most of the league is pretty evenly matched.

seriously? Alutard is chiming in on a game he didn't watch?

i guess you have to take pleasure where you can when your team's best player has scrambled eggs for brains.

I expect Detroit to just destroy LA on Saturday night after this game. Wings lost it on some bullllshit luck.

Even though we beat the Kings last time we faced them, they're still the Wings kryptonite. I'm guessing at least a 2 game losing streak is in our near future. It's hard to get back in the groove after crazy shit like this happens.

He has nothing else to do.

A Wings loss is always a win for the rest of the NHL fanbase.

Still have Malkin. If Crosby has to retire in the next couple of years because of this, the Pens are still going to be a great team. 8.7 million off the books? Think they would do alright.

*whimper*

Pens aren't playing tonight. What else is there to do in the hockey world besides troll other teams?

He's been opening his big mouth lately for some reason, reaching Tabris levels of annoying.

We have not had a win-loss-win or loss-win-loss at all this season, everything has been a streak of 2 or more, so we will probably lose.

Normally, I would agree. However, the Kings just won tonight (barely) beating the BJ's 2-1 to snap their skid. Everything resets for them now in the laws of the hockey gods. If they had lost this game, it'd be 6 in a row and that spells doom for the Wings facing a team like the Kings on their home ice. So I fully expect a Wings win on Saturday in a 4-1 fashion.

EDIT - Oh, didn't realize Wings were home on Saturday, thought we were in LA. Good, that makes it even better.

New addition to the Jacques Martin meme "Leblanc scores goal to tie game? / Bench for the rest of the game for Darche" Fucking dolt.

We're negative on the road again. At least Joe Louis has become a hard arena for opposing teams to win in once again.

See you guys next game.

Ovechkin finally appears. It was a close game. We were getting dominated in the first period and played much better later in the game.

Anyone hear what Lindros had to say about concussions? He was saying how since the lockout, everything was done to speed up the game thus giving the players less time to react to hits that are coming with more force than ever before. He suggested putting the center ice line back in to slow down the game.

He's right. Everyone hated the grabbing, but I wouldn't be upset to see it come back....
