many of them are more than that in stores.

EDIT: beaten gah

According to my math there is roughly a 20% mark-up on the system price in Japan to what it will be in the U.S. However those games being over $60 on the PSN Japanese store means they should be about $50 on the U.S. PSN store? No thanks.

the prices are going to be 40 dollars at retail in NA.

Random question in case Japan gaf are listening. Why can't my father in law call my UK mobile from his AU one? We can call him but he can't return it.

What exactly are you whining about? Portable software (normally all software) has cost more in Japan. Retail Vita games are $39.99 in the USA. Don't know what the PSN prices are at this point.

You should never convert Japanese software prices to find what the American ones will be. If you did, you'd find out every Final Fantasy will ring you up $90+.

What exactly are you whining about? Portable software has always cost a lot more in Japan.

I'm sorry, is this not an open forum for discussion? I simply asked why the hardware has a 20% mark-up but the Vita software is well beyond that. Care to explain why or are you just here to whine about me?

got mine at 8am from osaka's bic camera, probably about 35 people in line. picked up uncharted and minna no golf 6.

browser is surprisingly good!

and how do i get twitter on this thing?

Guilty as charged. My only reason for being in this thread is to watch your every post.

Nobody complains when EA does it.

Tons of people complain (and have complained) about EA's creative "missteps." Let's not be too flippant about the vitriol that gets directed towards them.

Also I need more info on Uncharted's controls.

Allow me expand on my earlier statements and give you some personal context. My background is a relatively shooter oriented one. I've played all three Uncharteds, 1 and 3 on hard and 2 on Crushing. I however didn't notice the aiming problem in 3 but I also knocked the sensitivity up to max before I started playing. I also have a background in other shooters.

The graphics seem to be full of aliasing. This is especially apparent when in motion and on the character models. The few cutscenes I've seen aren't up to ND's standards also. The texture work is pretty good for the most part. This however is not the equal of DF. It's somewhere below mainly due to the previously noted aliasing. Character models aren't up to PS3 levels also.

Now on to the aiming. It's a mess and that's with all motion controls disabled. I'll try tweaking it to see if it gets better but the fluidity of motion, speed, and overall crispness is not on par with the Uncharteds on the PS3. It honestly feels worse than DF.

I did see a demonstration of the game being played on Vita. It looked awesome but the rear control touchpad looked silly.

Haha, touche. I do have a soft spot for the Dungeon Hunter series since it is tough to screw up loot games.

I would like to give them the benefit of the doubt, but NOVA and Dungeon Hunter made me want to stab myself in the face. I can't imagine the rest of their efforts were any better.

Patch incoming?

See now I don't feel so bad about deciding to skip Golden Abyss. Can Bend do anything about this in two months? "Stay tuned."
